Had a wonderful experience here! My mom went through a tough time and needed a storage right away. She's disabled and needed a floor unit, Darcy helped us son much! She was very caring and talked with mom so nicely, she could tell my mom was having some problems and not knowledgeable about getting a storage! Highly recommend this place just for the customer service and care shown by Darcy! We visited store #29180 in castro valley on Grove Way.

Darcy is wonderful and very helpful. She is super nice and has great customer service, she calls for my reminders and is always so friendly. Highly recommend this public storage it’s clean and we’ll maintained.

The old lady owner calls me almost a WEEK from when I moved out asking for payment. The lock and key were kept in the storage. NO ONE contacted me after I scheduled my move-out and scheduled a confirmation until a week later. The number listed for the move-out goes straight to voicemail and no one has returned my calls. Now they're asking me to pay since there is a lock on the door. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this facility. This is a poorly run business. Update: I was contacted by HQ regarding the above issue. They said that I should have been contacted within 2 days and promptly resolved the issue (beyond my expectations) by refunding me for not only the week I was overcharged, but for the entire month. I wish I didn't have to go through this debacle at all, but I appreciate this resolution. I am still a Public Storage customer, but at a different location.

We started renting a storage unit about five years ago and it was the easiest move yet! From the beginning, it was clear that Darcy has amazing customer experience and genuinely cares for her tenants. After a bad experience at another Public Storage, it was a breath of fresh air to work with Darcy. The facilities are always clean and we have yet to have a problem of any kind. Highly recommended!

Beware! Customer service here is the worst! The people here are savage and they know it. I had a reservation to transfer to my roommate and they cancelled it and removed it from the site. We are now going to a competitor from now on.

I have been a customer at this site for nearly 10 years. I have interacted with Darcy numerous times, not because I have a complaint but because she always seems to be on the job. In one instance a leak was discovered that fortunately did not damage any of my belongings but did require discovery of the leak and cleanup of the unit. Darcy was of immediate help by contacting the appropriate leak repair unit and making it possible to move to another unit if I chose to. Included also was a waiver of the monthly charge until the problem was resolved. The location is always well kept. In our interactions she has always been ready to assist me and friendly. I think of Darcy as a first class manager or a first class facility.

Without exception, the care and attention that my family and I have received from this storage facility has been top knotch. Excellent! Most helpful of all has been the personal service from Darcy. Darcy was referred to me by my roommate who is no longer going to be. Darcy was very informative, polite and cordial. She showed me a unit and while doing so i asked if they had a dolly. She said, "no, not at this time." Well, that was the deal breaker for me. But...that didn't stop Darcy from finding me a unit down the street from her counterpart Kumar. After reserving said unit, I went done and meet with him. There was only 1 5x14 available. Upon entering, we went switch the light but the entire light fixture had been swiped off the 14ft ceiling?!?! Frustrated and in need of a unit, I took it. Kumar if you read this please put in an IR to get it fixed asap, please.

Reading all of the positive reviews here about Darcy and the location made renting a space here an easy decision. We got a great deal and Darcy was great throughout the whole check-in process. After my grandma's death I needed to get a storage unit for the first time ever. The woman who works the front desk (Darcy) is very nice and helped me figure out what I needed. She found me a space with good access. It was clean and the interior halls are well lit and feel safe. I am giving 4 stars and not 5 only because I felt they were pushy about trying to get me to pay their monthly insurance fee when I was pretty sure my homeowner's insurance covered any loss or damage for belongings in storage. ( Called my insurance guy, it does)

I have been coming to this location for over two years. I am currently renting two storage units and Darcy has made these two years very pleasant. THE WORST STORAGE SPACE EVER STAY AWAY!!!!! The manager of this place will harass you and steal your money. Darcy the storage manager let's people stay in their storage spaces illegally. The gate is closed at 9. But there have been people leaving the premises at 2 and 3am. There is also secret doors in some of the units where people stay. There have been many break ins and people using grinders to open up units and there are no security cameras watching your stuff. The bathroom is filthy and disgusting. Also every 4 to 6 months they do a massive rent increase. Watch out this place is a scam and you will get trapped get out while you can and don't rent from here!!!!!!

I highly recommend this place. I've had a lot of storages in a lot of places cuz I move around a lot and I know from experience that it's all about how well one gets along with the on site manager. The on site manager here is Darcy and she is great. She does a great job of balancing the order while also being a great friend. She is kind of like the mom I never had. They also have reasonable gate hours and the place is always clean. It's in a great location easy to get to. There really is nothing bad to say about it.

By far the best and easiest storage rental process I’ve to experience. The costumer service and professionalism Darcy showed is nothing short of making you feel like family. The property is clean and tidy. Conveniently located to freeways and highways. The extended access hours including holidays are a major plus. If you are looking for a affordable and convenient storage rental I more than recommend you head on over to Public Storage and speak with Darcy! Don’t forget to ask her to tell you a joke.

Yes, you can book your appointment online to save everyone time and money but what you don't get is the human interaction that seems to be slowly fading away in our society today due to advances in technology. What Im trying to articulate if I may put it eloquently for the person who assisted deserves the 5 star rating! Darcy; who help me pick a storage unit was so pleasant and informative about the entire process. Darcy was very thorough on how to maneuver the place, the records and email receipts that I will get through my email and the rules of the facilities. It was certainly a very pleasant experience! The place is just a tad bit dated but you can tell its well-maintained and always clean.

I stopped in to buy some boxes at this location today (which they had all I needed in stock) and low and behold there was someone in the office. I made the mistake of stopping at a different storage place yesterday which at the time was more convenient , but not so convenient if no one is manning the office. Then I remembered the terrific experience I had at this location when I moved here from Chicago 5 years ago. Darcy was still running the place and not only did she remember me, she remembered the conversations we had about moving to the area (she is a wealth of info), wow! I have nothing but praise for my storage experience, the unit was clean and easy to access, and all at a great price. Even just buying some moving supplies. Darcy made sure I was getting a great deal, as she did when I first moved here. If I could give more stars I would!!!! If I should ever need a space in this area again, there's only one place would go, back to Darcy!

This location is awesome - clean - well lit - climate controlled. Everyone who I have interacted with in the office has been courteous, informative and very helpful. Definitely the place to use for storage.

Facility is secure and very clean. Storage is spacious. Property Manager Marci is friendly and kind and makes it a point to know all the storage owners. Gives me peace of mind that my items are safe. I like the courtesy calls before payment is due and reminders before payment is late. Especially during the holiday season when your not thinking about storage. A bit pricey.

FABULOUS SERVICE! I had arranged for moving help from U-Haul that didn't show on time. Property Manager Darcy graciously asked some people that she knew to help me until the so-called "pros" showed up. Believe me, this was a BIG HELP for a 62-y.o. customer with a bad heart...BRAVO, DARCY, and God bless you!

I like the location close to the freeway, hours of availability, and very safe. The staff(Darcy) has always been very helpful, friendly, and accommodating (I can be a pain sometimes). I would highly recommend using this location. I have also used other storage facilities in the same area, overall this is the best location.

I apparently made the bonehead move of locking my unit without actually locking it (did not fully engage the hasp). Got a call from the very friendly manager (Darcy), who spotted it during her inspection, to inform me of this. Rushed right over, expecting the worst, but all was in place with no issues. She even showed me how to properly roll up the steel door without putting strain on my back. Thanks all around Darcy!! Very nice location, and well managed. Great to know you've got my back (literally and figuratively!) One other note: the parking lot looked sharp, and I commented on this; she mentioned it was just redone (new blacktop and markings).

As far as an officer of the business (public storage) there is no other that storage facilities on the street that takes care of their customers like Darcy, she is the best. No doubt.! She calls each month to make sure you get your payment on before you get charged a late charge.. No more said!

Over the years of me being in this area. Darcy has been a great help. I've always bought my packing supplies from her. Always a big help and keeps me laughing. I will always suggest to my friends to go to her.

When I had to clean out my mother's home there was just too much to deal with right away. I was so thankful for Public Storage and Darcy. It was a hard time and Darcy's warm demeanor and great positive customer service was a welcomed gift. The facilities are clean and well located to boot!

My Mother had a storage unit here with Darcy for years and she loved it! When she passed a couple years ago my Brother took over the unit and has the same opinion about the place! Recently my wife and I decided to trade in the sticks and bricks and hit the road in a toy hauler trailer full time! After downsizing to the amount of weight we can haul we found we still had some things we just don't want to lose or let go of and I knew right away the safest place for it was with Darcy at this storage place! She's taken care of my family for years and I'm sure my beloved things will be fine there until we get a place to put mom's grandfather clock in a couple years IF we stop having a blessed road trip? Customer service is hard to find these days and Darcy at the Castro Valley location is so appreciated! She makes every effort to help me get my payment in on time, so I don't have late charges. Now I just have to better protect my credit card, so I don't have to change my auto debit all the time.

I have been using this Public Storage location for years now and have nothing but good things to say about the staff there, particularly Darcy. She seems to always be there to provide whatever service I might need. She's diligent about security and seems to take her role there as manager very seriously - to the good. For instance, iIf I'm away on business when the monthly payment is due and I haven't paid within the first several days of the month, she'll give me a courtesy reminder phone call to help me avoid the late fee. Good location, great service.

After several years' absence, I returned to the Public Storage facility at 2445 Grove Way Castro Valley because I remembered how well I had been treated there before. I recently got a storage unit at Castro Valley public storage as I was moving out of my apartment. It is the smaller of the two public storage facilities on Grove Way. They had a unit available a bit larger than the previous unit I had viewed in San Leandro. I was sent to Darcy, the lady who works at the desk. She is the sweetest lady and funny too! She was very nice and helpful. She is one of the few people that exist who still believes in true customer service. Now a days people are unpleasant and rude, not Darcy. She is welcoming and makes the hastle of moving just a bit easier than it would be otherwise. Thanks Darcy! I'll see you soon :) - Catie

Good customer service is so hard to find these days but you will find it here, especially when Darcy is working. I have only been to my unit a few times over the past year and since our first meeting, she always remembers who I am, asks how I am doing and whether I need anything.

This facility was wonderful. I have been renting a storage space here for almost 2 years and I have never has an issue. The manager Darcy is so kind and willing to accommodate me with whatever I needed.

This place has always been great to me, I have had a storage unit here on and off for the past few years, but my recent experience really made me want to leave a review! Long story short, it's been a while since I visited my unit and felt a bit lost. However, the worker, I believe her name was Jessica, was more help than I could have imagined! Not only did she remind me where my unit was, but when I realized I forgot the key to my lock in my wife's car, who was parked out front, she stood by my car (where I had already unloaded my boxes) while I ran to get it! Needless to say, I felt foolish, but having her there to help me made everything go as smooth as it could have.

we made a reservation from out of town. and before i even made it to the storage facility they had already called me to verify everything. when i got there all the paper work was ready to go. i give this review 5 stars

Darcy was awesome. The property was clean and she even offered to help me grab some of my stuff if I was ever scared of spiders back in the storage lol. She explained the security and how she kept everything locked up. Great customer service. I feel safe with my stuff there.

It was a lovley experiance. My son and I were being forced out of our home, and Darcy was kind enough to help us with anything we needed and constantly checked on us, espesialy with my son and his emotional state. It has been a very pleasent experiance, both on site and off, and Darcy made it happen.

Whenever I have a question or have needed supplies Darcy has been most helpful. When I needed to set up my online access, Darcy again was able to guide me to get it done. When I visit my unit I have always found it clean and accessible. Recently I helped a friend with storage at another facility in a different city and they did not have a Darcy there - not nearly as friendly nor was it was as easy to get things done. I would recommend this Public Storage location.
