Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3950 Pacheco Blvd, Martinez, CA

I have been a tenant of this facility for many years. I currently rent multiple units. On site manager Chris has always been extremely helpful in addressing my storage needs and always goes above and beyond what is required of him when he makes recommendations to me about how I can maximize my rental experience within this facility. Chris is a true asset to Public Storage and he sets the standard for what an on site manager should be. It is truly a pleasure dealing with Chris regarding my storage needs and I express my sincerest thanks to him for all the help that he has given me.

Very happy with the new on-site manager he's been very helpful with a keen eye towards security & cleanliness. I can rest easy at night knowing my belongings will be safe!!! Its also very nice that the bathroom is always clean!!! Thank you Chris and Lisa

Lisa Marie was very helpful and pleasant to work with and went beond the calls of duty to help me rent a unit . unfortunately corporate headquarters did not have the 1 dollar move in special going on at this facility even thought it says it on the public storage website . very misleading.

My husband and I rented a storage unit for one year. Whenever we needed assistance managing our storage space, Suzanne was extremely helpful. She always returned our phone calls right away. Even when we needed to downsize to a smaller unit, Suzanne made the process feel less overwhelming by assigning us to a smaller unit nearby. And once we made arrangements to vacate our storage unit, Suzanne was very helpful with our request to have a shipping container placed on site.

I have to tell you all that I try to avoid Large Corporation run businesses. I try to patronize small, local, family run businesses. I took a chance with this Corporation. What I discovered was that the PEOPLE who work at this business are so excellent, so caring about customers, so helpful and so friendly, I think I am going to stick with Public Storage. There was a glitch with my account, and Sabrina, one of the managers, simply invested her time and energies in making share I was taken care of. She was personable, professional, and persistent -- clicking away and away at her computer until my problem was resolved. I had just had hip replacement surgery, and the office had no custoner seating, so she GAVE ME HER CHAIR, and did her work standing up. I was only referred to as space #447 util my account was located, then I was TREATED like a real life human being, with a NAME! When I rented the unit, I was initially impressed with Suzanne, the on-site manager. SHe too was polite and professional. SO, this review is five star becasue 100% of the STAFF at this location are FIVE STAR FOLKS. I was so impressed with Sabrina's service that I came back with a thank you card and with a Jamba Juice gift card. You don't run into this kind of quality treatment often. I'm one of the folks who has no problem registering a complaint when something needs improvement. It is a joy for me to see the good and say it. Sabrina and Suzanne are examples of the good in this world!

I have had personal property in storage since I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis. It stage 5 extreme. I never been late on a payment and I was Dec 2021. My fees went from $197.00 to $368.00 and then before I could gather any more money it went up again. I am 62 years old and, well ,um I'm dieing. I had two surgeries in 2021. They knew my situation. I had a friend try to pay them for me 3 different times but every time they went there no one was in the office they waited as long as they could. Then in January I called them no answer then I received a voice mail saying I owe$ 568. And some change. Well I get $816.99 in disability pay, still. And couldn't walk very well. Needless to say they sold my stuff Cirrhosis haven't heard from them about my personal papers, pictures or anything else. Thanks

Olivia at the front office was what we all wish front desk people everywhere would be! I needed pretty detailed help two days in a row and was a bit nervous to go in the office after previous experiences. I ended up getting much more attentive and kind help than I was expecting. i have storage here. i use it often because im not currently in a permanent residence. it doesnt say anything about this when you sign up, but you are only allowed to be inside the fence for 2 hours at a time. at least thats what the lady working there told me. so if you have a lot to move, maybe move it somewhere else. also, i heard from an uber driver that this company will start jacking up the price after 3 months to the tune of 50+ dollars every couple of months! dont fall for the super affordable move in rates. im not an expert on storage facilities, but there has to be a better option. if you know of any good spots let me know PLEASE!

Mario was very helpful & pleasant ro work with. He's a keeper!! We hadn't been in our unit since about 2012... It was still dry. Quite dusty, but what can you expect for an outside unit that's been closed up for that long. Mario helped us with our lock and a jammed door (some of our stuff had settled against the door..). He got us some documentation from 3 years ago that was concerning us... Really a helpful guy!!

I visited over a month and a half ago here. I made sure to get on here to leave a review at some point. Why? It was a great experience! Though we are dealing with troubling times, The awesome help I got from Suzanne was comforting. Gloves, sanitizer, clean surfaces. It’s everything my paranoid germaphobe needed going into a establishment I’ve never been. Also liked the one person in the office at a time. She was kind, knowledgeable, honest. She found me the best deal that was around and in fact another friend of mine was excited for a great deal she will be contacting Suzanne as well. Suzanne gave me her office phone number so that I can set up an appointment and we could get right on top of setting up the container space. On the tour of the facility I felt that it was clean and I felt safe and I had all of the information about the hours and set up with the gate. Others have been fine; but she was on point and accommodated us as if we were friends with our new unit. We downsized our items and she found us a location super close, so we didn’t have allot of lugging to do, which saved us so much time! Considerate managers keep happy customers! I really enjoy using this storage unit. It’s in a great location right next to the freeway so access is quick. Suzanne who helped me was welcoming and made the process very simple. I recommend this storage location for anyone that wants their items to be stored securely and have access to their unit with ease.

The girl at the front desk was very helpful. They had a major leak and she was very much in control of a bad situation. A fire hydrant was hit by a car on the edge if this facility, which ultimately flooded the property. The lady running the facility is young however she was in full control and did a great job. The facility is super clean and in a convenient location right off the highway.

Suzanne helped up get set up to move into a new unit. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Made us feel very comfortable about storing our property at this location. There should be more folks in the customer service field like Suzanne. As we moved into our unit, we saw her in the golf cart go by numerous times (mainly to clean up items that were left/dumped by a previous customer) and it just really made us feel secure about this location.

So glad we found this place within 5 miles after selling our house and needing to vacate within 21 days of closing escrow. Suzanne took care of us as soon as we walked into the store. She showed us the unit, provide the locks we needed and gave us tips for being a first time storage unit rental. I highly recommend this place and do ask for Suzanne to get the best experience.

I'm fairly new to this facility however the staff has been very helpful and friendly. Im most familiar with Jessica who was the management that helped me upon arrival as well as once before closing when i was struggling with an issue with one of my heavier items. Strong girl for a tiny frame! And the rest of the staff who I'm not too familiar with has been very courteous to me as well.

Went in to ask some questions about my son moving back to the area and putting his stuff in storage. The lady Suzanne was friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience I was dreading having to deal with this and she made it so easy. The storage area was clean and the office as well. I will definitely recommend to others.

Friendly staff, and very close to home. We moved in on Saturday, and since I had a lot to store it took multiple trips. Each time we were there, I saw her going around on her cart, checking each storage unit making sure everything was okay, which makes me glad we chose to work with them. They definitely care.

I would highly recommend Public Storage on Pacheco. Jax was very bubbly, professional and helpful. Hope I don't have a need for storage in the future but I wouldn't hesitate to us e them again.

I have been a customer of Public Storage off and on for over 10 years, and this is by far the best location in the East Bay. I had to transition to a different unit at this location and Jax went out of her way to make the move as smooth as possible. I can’t say enough about Jax and Public Storage. Thank you!!!!

Rented a storage unit here. Very convenient location off the freeway. Lots of outside drive up units for easy loading/unloading. Property is clean and well taken care of. Jax was fantastic made the whole process easy

Besides getting STALKED,HARRASSED,MOBBED, ELECTRONICALLY ZAPPED,RADIATED ... YADI YADI YADI EVERYONE OF THESE RENTERS ARE SIGNED UP TO torture innocent people in a sick and demented way..and they don't even know they think there getting away with this ..and they are temporarily !! Other then those immature pests... so called people... the Management are highly friendly ... Im glad Jessica's property manager ..she is most definitely good at cracking that whip ... she has to treat everybody fairly ...however I wish she would get rid of the stalkers .... As long as I just mind my own business im good...overall this is a 3 * and that's all due to Jessica and her boss so thank you ...you two !

This has been the best storage resource center I have used and we have not had one issue for the entire year we have used this Public Storage location. Very disappointed. This place has gone downhill since I first rated it. The nice manager (Chris) recently quit. Since that time, the bathroom no longer gets cleaned and rarely has toilet paper, soap or paper towels. Also, there is no lighting on the property at night..all the bulbs are burnt out. The grounds are littered with trash and the new interim manager, Derek, is rude.Very unhappy with the way it is operated now.

My family and I rent at this facility and at first I was kind of dreading storing my stuff at this location because I know the area but when I met the staff and seen them out there working to make the place better I knew my stuff would be safe. The young man Anthony that is always there is very nice and helpful and the female that is there too, her name is heather she is very friendly and helpful as well. I would also like to mention that I have seen there boss, Derek out there doing a good job to make the place a safe and clean place. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making my stay here at public storage a good experience.

I have been their customer over a year and during this time I visited my storage maybe once every two months. During this time someone broke into my unit and two others next to mine and I was informed that they didn't know how they got into their facility. Later on I spoke to another customers and they told me this was not the first time and as he remembered there was another incident. Moreover, recently I was out of country and when I got back, I noticed that my credit card on their file is expired and I was past due 30 day on my account, after paying their total balance I visited my storage and noticed they have broke my lock and tagged my storage for auction. Now let me remind you this is just for being 30 days passed due, and this is what the guy behind the counter told me. Above all, after they opened the lock I noticed that they have moved around some of my boxes, I think this is beyond disrespectful. Now I'm looking for a new place to rent.

I ve had a storage unit here for over 6 years. I can honestly say its really the staff of a facility like this that is the most important thing. Chris is the leader. He is courteous, patient and friendly He is responsible for the clean safe and work friendly environment that you ll find here. Its really great to always find a clean well lit bathroom too ! Until 2 days ago, I had never seen a rat in my life! I'm sharing this experience to warn anyone looking to rent a storage facility DON'T GO TO PUBLIC STORAGE AT 3950 PACHECO BLVD, MARTINEZ, CA!!! I discovered to my horror that the unit I've rented for 3 years was infested with rats! I hired movers, and as they were packing up my belongings we started to see rat poop, everywhere. I went to the front office and told them and all they did was reply oh gross and gave me some bag of pellets and sent me on my way! The movers told me not to bother putting it down, it takes a couple of weeks to work. I had huge holes in my boxes and rats were jumping out of my boxes! When we got to the other storage facility, a couple of rats ran out of the moving truck! They were as big as cats! My boxes were going to my house and I prayed that the last of them were gone, no such luck, the movers were bringing my boxes to the basement and out hopped another one! And to add insult to injury, Public Storage had the nerve to bill me for one day storage! I called and left a message, and have yet to hear back from them. I'm going to file a complaint with the Dept. of Consumer Affairs as well as the health dept., this facility is nasty and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Don't give these people your hard earned money. Your property will most likely be damaged by rats! I'm scared to open any of my boxes!

I've had a unit at this location for the past year and have always interacted with Hank. He has been incredibly helpful and knowledgable, whether by phone or in person. He's efficient and made this part of the moving process a breeze.

Public Storage was a godsend to begin with... since I moved from Los Angeles I got here late! I was stressed out, tired and grumpy, but Chris, the manager, eased my pain with the size unit I needed and at a special rate. I was happy again! very.... Im happy to say, I've been here for 2 years with no problems and the staff, Chris, namely, is cool when I need anything. Ill stay as long as the rates are comparable. Good to go! Thanks for an easy experience!

Fantastic. What more could I honestly say. Had my stuff stored here for 4 months while I was moving. I came back to ask a few more questions as I am not currently renting from their but I do have to get another storage unit since I am moving again in a few months. One of the employees, Kevin, showed me around the lot. Totally friendly and answered any questions I had. The location is nice and near the freeway which makes it easy to access. The actual facility is clean and roomy, meaning you can easily guide the largest moving truck thru it without getting stuck. I wrapped up the visit with Betsy (sp?) who left me with some quotes and extra information regarding the size I will probably need. Thanks to both Kevin and Betsy for taking the time out to help a soon to be returning customer.

I was checking on prices for storage spaces and Kevin was very helpful. He was able to help me find the right size space for what I needed to store and the right price. I was highly satisfied with the service from Kevin and will be recommending this location to others!

I came in today to inquire some information on a storage unit. The gentleman and the lady that were working were so very very helpful in answering all of my questions. I believe the mans name was Kevin and the women's name was Betsy. They were very patient with me while I asked for information. Usually I have horrible luck when it comes to this kind of thing but these two were great and made me feel comfortable. I just had to inform everyone of my experience today. Thank you!
