I would like to rave about Lu at Public Storage located at 10201 W Hampden Ave and the customer service provided by the Corporate Office. Recently I had an issue and she worked with the Corporate Office to provide a solution within 24 hours. Not only did they solve it, they did so with true compassion. I am beyond grateful. I have been a client since 2020 and will say that is a great location to work with!

I hate renting from this storage everytime I go in to pay my bill there is either nobody ever there to help me out or the lady is VERY RUDE. & then I try to pay over the phone & i was charged an additional $20 this storage place is a joke I highly recommend not renting here

Used this location for 14 months to store staging items and it was perfect! Lu and the entire staff were always knowledgeable and friendly. The unit was very clean and the entire complex is well maintained and secure. I was at my unit at least once a week and Lu or other employees were on site monitoring the property.

The storage units here are perfectly fine. Very cheesy locks but they do work. The people that work here are at first fairly nice but when you need something and help or customer service they’re not very customer oriented. To use a trolley you have to leave your license with them. That makes total sense! However when I tried to leave and go get my wallet back, no one was there at the office and I had to wait a full 30 minutes for them to return and in fact I had to go find them because they were running around in their golf cart quite frankly doing nothing. So I was held hostage to get my drivers license back. Extremely poor customer service and when I challenged them on that they were very rude not an ounce of compassion for the concern that I had. If possible I would not use this organization ever again. And I would council others to try to avoid public storage if at all possible.

Great storage facility, very well kept and maintained. The staff here is very friendly and professional, and I’ve rented a few storage lockers here on different occasions and each time they always try to get me the best price for the size of storage I need. Solid and trustworthy, I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Worst location I’ve ever been to. The lady that works upfront a song competent she didn’t want to help me. She asked me for some code I don’t even rent with them. Some nice folks sold me their washer they had in their storage unit and it took me 20 to 30 minutes to get out, because I had to get this code from the kind people I picked up the washer from. I do not appreciate the service from this place very rude very incompetent I will never go back again

These folks, under the tutelage of Lu the Long-standing Mgr..have consistently maintained a very professional establishment. They are very accommodating during your hectic move, and extend every courtesy, and discount available to meet your, every conceivable need. I recommend this location over All others because of their great attention to detail.. in your time of need. Cooperation is the key!

This company has a history of Bate & switch and will tell you, or your movers of a FREE month rent, or $1.00 first month rent and then; when you are done loading up the unit they will change their tune and say that particular unit is never pro-mo'ed because it is the large one. Also the Management changes regularly and they are very rude after you sign up.....In fact the on -site Mgr. passes the buck to the corporate office and leaves the customer with a mess! They will eventually honor the discount by over charging you for six- months......and giving you back some of your overages? For a brand new customer, never rented a space for storage before...this is a pure AMBUSH!

Today I had the privilege of being help by Tori, and I want to say she made renting a storage unit very easy. I’ve made the mistake of renting storage units from other companies in the past , only to find out the gates not working right or the lights never come on at night, and if you can find someone that works there they’re rude ( everything works perfect at this facility, you can even open the gate with their app from your phone ). Tori was great to work with and very professional, she had me in a storage unit in no time flat, people like Tori make a good storage company great, thanks Tori.

Dave was very helpful and provided in-person assistance that was not available in the online Public Storage website.

Had a wonderful experience and and appreciate Lu's helpful abilities and wonderful attitude.

Just got a unit at this storage location on Sunday, so satisfied with the help of David. First of all, he stayed late to help me get registered for my unit and saved me money on a unit that would have cost way more if I wasn't given the options. I feel really good about where this location is located and how well this location is managed. Thank you so much David and public storage.

TOTAL SCAM!!! I rented a storage on Dec 9th. The manager said "$197 a month, 30% off the first month". You would expect it to be literally $197 a month and an extra 30% off the first month. It turned out the $197 is AFTER the 30% off discount, and my subsequent monthly charges are much higher. MOREOVER, I stayed for less than 3 months, they charged me nearly 4 months, claiming my last month need to be paid in full, even though I moved out WELL BEFORE the 9th of the month. When disputing with them they quoted the tiny fine printings on their contract, as usual, stating that the 2nd month is prorated and all subsequent months are paid on the 1st. All the usual low-life scam artist's tricks. I have no time to waste with these scam artists, neither do you. STAY AWAY from this business. Don't be fooled by the 300+ 5 star reviews. Only angry customer like myself will EVER bother to leave a review. What authentic person will ever bother to leave a review of a storage facility? Those 300+ 5-stars are obviously from paid stooges and plants.

I went in today to get a new storage unit and Elena was absolutely AMAZING! She was so upbeat and happy helped me pick out the proper boxes for dishes from my late mother in law. She was also laughing because at the same time I was watching my dog rip up boxes at home on the camera🤣 She was honestly one of the nicest most helpful and friendly person I've ever met at a storage facility Thank you Elena for making my experience that much better and laughing with me as I yell at the dog over the camera ❤

My unit out of every unit there was broken into twice a few months apart, the second time steeling approx. 2/3 of my stuff. No cameras so there you go, I'm out of luck. Do not trust the security of your storage here!!

I decided to rent my storage unit at this location instead of a slightly lower priced one for 1 reason and 1 reason only.... Rashand who works there was so friendly and thoughtful! I was going through a very difficult time and I could tell she really about my family. Rashand went out of her way to take care of us and always offers a friendly wave through the windows when we come or go from our unit. If you need a storage unit and don't go see Rashand you're making a mistake!

Public storage only give specials to new customers only. If you switch storages with public storage you still have to pay an admin fee. Not worth your time or your money.

they do give you a curtesy call if your card lapses during your storage payment. the rest of this review is not really positive. They up their rates quite a bit and in the introduction they constantly swindle you with surprise mandatory purchases that they never told you about before. Also, they try to manipulate you into rating them 5 stars on google maps, they have a little practiced speech where they literally want to watch you rate them high, its kinda sad. Theres probably better places to rent storage. Also, their website does not work, google says its been hacked, so you have to go there and do everything in person.

Very satisfied with my experience. I showed up unannounced and Lu got me into a nice unit right away. The property was clean and orderly and the staff was very friendly. Lu, the property manager was very nice and took care of me right away.

My wife had trouble when her key broke in the lock of our unit. But the staff was so helpful!!! They were kind and took the time to get the broken key out and sprayed the lock for easier access next time. Customer service at its best, going above and beyond the call of duty! HIGHLY recommend!

Moving and storing stuff is never fun or a simple task. Fortunately for my wife and I, Whitney at Public Storage in Lakewood made this transition as smooth as possible. Whitney was as frustrated as we were to hear our reserved unit was taken and that we would have to spend $35 more monthly to get a comparable unit. She went above and beyond with her customer service by calling all of the nearest Public Storage facilities and getting us price quotes. My wife and I decided to stick with the location we initially reserved a unit for and are pleased we did. There were a lot of other fees and taxes to be aware of but, all in all, the unit size and length of rental suited our needs perfectly. Thanks again Whitney and Public Storage!

After reading all of the great reviews for this location, I decided to rent a storage unit this weekend. I made a reservation on line late Friday night, and Lu called me the next day. She was so pleasant and answered all my questions. When I arrived on Sunday, Whitney (the sweet natured "Mississippi transplant") took me on a tour of a couple of units and helped get my account set up. They were both so friendly and caring, and are the perfect example of what great customer service is all about. Their facilities are clean and easily accessible. I highly recommend this location!!

I have dealt with many Public Storage Locations and this one has by far been the best experience! I am disabled and was having issues on pinpointing a moving date. Lu went completely out of her way to ensure that a unit size I needed was available! Whitney was very nice and accommodating! Also very efficient and accurate setting up my account when I only had 15 minutes to get to another appointment! MUCH appreciated!!! Very nice staff and the cleanest location I have seen!

I would recommend you find a better location. There is a pest problem. Found lots of mice droppings in boxes that had been chewed into. No shortage of dead mice found in clothing boxes. Not a great experience unpacking.

***roaches in our boxes.*** We had a unit for 20 months. We specifically asked on our last month if it would be prorated as we needed a couple extra days. One gentlemen said yep no problem. When we got the unit cleaned and let them know it was vacated they said nope no prorating. We would’ve gotten our stuff out had we been given the correct info. Here’s to giving this hack staff almost $4000. Dishonest. We have also found roaches crawling out of boxes. The place has roaches. Avoid avoid avoid. We lived in Conifer and roaches don’t survive up there. We have a roach problem from our storage unit?!?

Randy has amazing customer care. He goes out of his way to educate the consumer and exceed expectations.

Randy made the process simple. Property is sprawling, go to the new office, not under the lighthouse. Be prepared to buy a cylinder lock, not a padlock. Same price, $20. Clean, climate controlled. No rat poison packets in the corners, unlike other locations.

The staff here is super friendly and helpful, which is why they get at least a star. However, I would highly recommend looking somewhere else for storage, they 100% have a pest issue. I had just recently purchased a brand new entertainment center before placing all of my stuff in storage and when it came time to move all of my stuff out, rats had chewed all on the side of it. They chewed on my daughters stuffed animals, and left dropping all over my clothes. It was disgusting!!!! If you value your personal belongings go somewhere else.

I just started using this storage facility. Randy and Chelsea were super nice and helpful. Even came out to check on me in the parking lot when I was looking at a puddle of water that leaked from my car. Hopefully my experience with this will stay at five star level.

Horrible service. I’m not one to leave reviews for anything, but this is a joke. I would let someone store their stuff in my living room before referring them to this place. They are on a huge Power trip and only care about getting their $400 a month. Plenty of times I went well before “closing” time and they had already turned off the gate.

This 5 star review is for the customer service I received from Chelsie, not from Public Storage as a company for I found other employees at other locations to be less than impressive. I have always rented or owned homes with adequate storage so in my first foray into renting storage space I was stunned at the cost in the metro Denver area. Chelsie was by far the most helpful, knowledgeable person I spoke with at any storage company, and she offered the best advice to get the best value for the money, so SHE earned my business for her company. Upon meeting her, she was thorough - even staying late to ensure I had all I needed to gain access that very evening. Chelsie was so enthusiastic in promoting her company and location that I inquired as to whether people in her position were rewarded with commissions and bonuses... she told me no... It is a pity that large company's like Public Storage do not apparently appreciate the hard work and extra mile taken by exceptional performers.

I have edited my 5 star review down to 1 star. After getting my storage unit for a very good price, they decided 2 months in to increase my storage costs by over 25%. I was not given a choice, just simply mailed my new rate, as I did not want to rent a truck to move all my items (after already doing this 2 months prior) I decided to keep my goods here, but I am extremely unsatisfied that they increased my rate substantially immediately after move in, I will be moving my goods from here in the future due to this poor experience.

Very clean and organized store, Chelsie the company representative is a credit to the organization, she was very professional even with irate customers that were present at the time of my visit. She seemed to know how to clam customers down and get them to understand that the contract rules are not her rules but the companies. The property is well maintained, clean and busy. The packing and moving supplies, were easily accessible and in ample supply. Chelsie was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for the great service.

I was very dissatisfied with Chesley and the District manager. I had a problem with the gate code on Sunday and Chesley had an office full of dissatisfied customers. The two people in front of me were complaining about her unprofessional attitude and her children were behind the counter saying that they were hungry. Needless to say that when my turn came she wouldn't give me a code to get out and she closed the shop down. My autistic son and I were trapped inside the gates for two hours in the blustering sun. We're moving this weekend even though are paid for the month. The district manager was no help today. He kept interrupting me when I was speaking and also wouldn't help. I'm telling all my family and friends about these people. My 1200 Facebook friends will also hear about this. My son suffered heatstroke and dehydration from that Sunday

The manager is who's name is Chelsie is a very helpful and friendly individual, I was having a hard time with to many things at the time I originally rented the storage unit and not only did she get me a great discount on the unit, by the time I left I was in a much better mood.

this public storage location is by far and away the most well kept and hospitable place I've used. I've had to move states for the last 4 years and between 4 states in 4 years and multiple storage units, this is the only one I would want to come back to. I dealt with two very inviting and welcoming lady's. Ashley was a trainee that seemed like she could have been doing this job for years with her great customer service backed with Celia's guidance this experience has left me with smile on my face and I promise I wouldn't go anywhere else. thank you girls.

Finding a place to store our furniture was a little harder than I expected. When I went to the Public Storage at 10201 W. Hampden, Celia was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to go there when Celia is working which seems like all the time and get great service!

Awful experience! Actual price was more than twice what I was quoted over the phone. Agent told me I could use my own lock. Location required a lock purchase. Agent failed to mention I'd have to pay for insurance or show proof of my own (which I could but was not prepared to do because it was not mentioned). Packed a truck load of items and had to drive away on principle. Customer service unwilling to waive undisclosed fees or resolve my issue.

Boost was greatest guy

I came to this location the other day with a reservation for a rate of $104 for a 5x10 unit... which I thought was pretty great. But then, Celia talked me through some promotions at that site AND looked at other locations nearby for other deals. She found me a $1 deal and lower monthly rate at another Public Storage down the road. I really appreciated that she worked to find a great deal for me.

Celia was a great help. My current situation is stressed right now and her help aleviated a lot of my stress. She not only helped me get a bigger storage container she got me a better deal in the process. Thanks Celia!!

I have been on a long path of trials and tribulations. I ended up having to set up a 2nd unit. Obviously having one already with Public Storage and a good experience I called them first. Connie A. seemed stressed. I had set a time to come in. Another customer arrived who was trying to stay on schedule. I offered to let her go first. My day was open no big hurry. I was able to conversat with them both and cracked a few jokes to lighten the mood. The other customer was really appreciative I let her go first. Connie A. was extremely helpful. As she is every time I have the pleasure of seeing her. I am sure it isn't heard enough- Connie A. you are a very nice person and all the help that you offered is more than greatly appreciated.

Great people at this facility. I was looking for a very specific set-up with time constraints and Chasity was able to make it happen. I appreciated the willingness and effort that was put into meeting my request. Very professional, prompt and courteous. I was even more impressed by how satisfied and happy she was at being able to help me. Very genuine. Highly recommend!

Storage was OK. But what i really liked was the Customer service that i recieved from Agent BEVERLY. Very helpful, very accommodating, very nice people. VERY clean unit, well maintained property. HOWEVER... be warned the Google Maps, Apple, Garmin and Navagon navigator will run you all over town. Just can't figure out the address. If in doubt, call them and the will give good directions. Essentially on the SOUTH side of 285, first street South of the fire station and you'll find it 2-3 blocks down. Main office on the North side of road.

Beverly was very nice and helpful as I was getting set up with my new storage unit. She explained everything fully and was polite and courteous. I am renting one of the small units but it is plenty of space, clean and easy to access. The monthly cost is not bad and it is a great location. All in all, my first experience with renting a storage unit has been very positive.

Storage unit was secured and confirmed online, but on the move-in date, I discovered in person that the room was not ready due to unresolved roofing issues. Other units were offered, but my needs were not met. I clearly stated my requirements: climate controlled, close to home, and pricing/cost concerns. Bruce, the manager for supposedly 12 years, repeatedly failed to listen and understand these requests. His solutions were inadequate, in addition to being conversationally awkward. Other minor complaints: my name and phone number were incorrectly stored in the computer system. I was slightly disappointed to find that upon arrival, there was a sign on the door that indicated someone would return in approximately ten minutes. Bruce reassured me he would resolve the issue after talking with his general manager, Chris. Bruce said he would call me a day later, after 9:30 am. By 4:00 pm, I called Bruce to inquire as to what the status of the unit was. He advised me to seek another facility. Poor sales, customer service, and management. A complete waste of my time and a huge inconvenience in the already stressful moving process. Choose this facility only for availability and convenience of location.

Beverly was and is very helpful. She sold me on the place. Like the size of the unit. One thing that is bothersome. The site is supposed to be secure but the gate that you walk in and out of does not latch. Needs to be fixed. If it doesnt latch the site is not secure.

We've rented a unit here for years, ALWAYS entered our gate code when entering and exiting (even when the gate was open), kept our unit clean and been contientious of the staff and other renters. And until tonight, we have always had a pleasant experience. This evening my 9 yr old daughter and I were going through our unit sorting out things for an upcoming garage sale. We arrived an hour before closing time, did what we needed to do, and were more than halfway through putting our stuff back into the storage unit when my daughter alerted me that a car was coming down our isle. I walked out, saw the car approaching, picked up a chair that I thought might be in their way and carried it into the storage unit. As I turned to walk back out, I could hear the driver talking. I heard what she said the first time, but I asked her to repeat herself because I couldn't believe her tone. She was absolutely as RUDE as she could be. It was maybe, and I seriously doubt it, but maaaaaybe 20 minutes after closing time, and this "B" quite curtly, with my daughter watching, made it clear that I was trespassing because I was on site after closing time, and went so far as to threaten to have me cited. I was moving my things back INTO the storage unit! Maybe she thought she was being gracious when she told me I had 15 minutes before she called the cops, but what she really did was destroy my opinion of, and loyalty to Public Storage. Of course my daughter and I talked about what happened after "rude lady" left, and I couldn't have been more proud when she (who is nine) made this connection; "It's not WHAT you say, it's HOW you say it".

This facility is in a very accessible location and is always clean. My only problem with it is, I had to move back to FL and haven't been able to get back to collect items I can't replace. Over the 4 yrs my rent has more than doubled.

I am very happy with this location and Casey has been very helpful with all of my needs. I had no idea I could use their hand cart free of charge. Very nice. It is a very well run establishment and I feel very secure leaving my valuable there.
