Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 7000 Professional Pkwy E, Lakewood Ranch, FL

This location is a joke! Everything was great when I made the reservation for my unit. 4 days before my move-in, I received an email saying my account was closed. I immediately panicked because I was moving and depended on having this unit. I emailed right away and called the following morning. I was told via phone I would receive a phone call back and resolution that same day. By the afternoon, I heard no response so I called again. I was told yet again everything would be fixed by the end of the day. No response, no return call, no return email. I called yet AGAIN the following day, was told again I would receive a response and follow up call by the end of the day. AGAIN nothing. I had to call as at this point I was supposed to be getting into my unit the following day. Anyone in a position to have to move and depend on storing their items is already stressed enough let alone have to run around and chase down someone to fix a mistake on the companies end. I finally get the girl in charge of reversing the closure of my account who gave nothing but excuses. “I was busy and getting to you, I got your voicemail after hours, etc” instead of apologizing and hearing my concerns she chose to continue to talk over me and defend herself. Absolutely rude. I called to file a complaint and received a $25 credit. What a joke. If you are looking for reliable storage, look elsewhere! There’s reasons they have deals and are affordable- because their service is terrible.

During an already stressful move. Tabitha provided customer service above and beyond and made my experience so much better! Go here for all your storage needs!!!

Horrible had reserved a unit and was calling to verify it was all set and I'm coming from north Carolina and they sold the unit out from under me said it was a computer glitch I called multiple times to make sure rhe unit was all set everything they said yes. And lied so don't give them your business.

Don made the process so easy renting a storage unit he showed me a 10 x 20 a 10 x 30 so I could feel more comfortable renting the size I needed thank you

Tabatha is the most kind and helpful person I've ever had to deal with!

Terrible service. My company rented a space online. Public Storage sent us the access credentials for move day. Our movers showed up around 5pm and attempted to use the access credentials. It turns out that Public Storage sent us incorrect access credentials and since no one is present at the site, our movers had to turn around and wait till the following day. This cost my company $773.50. I called to connect with the property manager who said she would check with her regional manager. It has been 45 days, no less than a dozen calls later and still no one has responded back to resolve this issue. I am certainly the one to give you a chance to make it right, however this is clearly unacceptable. Stay away from this location!!!!! No one is ever on site and will not communicate with you. UPDATE: After continued efforts to get someone to call me back, Don at the front desk picked up the phone and heard my frustration. He stated that their front gate glitches often which corroborated our frustration. He called me back the following day and stated that Christina, the District Manager will not be calling me back and that we are welcomed to take them to small claims court.....seriously?!?!. Where has service and professionalism gone? How is that Tabitha, the property manager and Christina, the district manager cannot make a simple call to apologize. Please stay away from this place.

4/2022 - I have been renting for 2 years here and I am simply amazed at how smoothly things go every time I have to come here. Any time I have a question, Tabatha is there to answer it. The grounds are always neat and clean, and I never have an unpleasant experience. I will continue to recommend this Public storage TO ALL my friends who need storage. 4/2021 - This is the second time I have had the pleasure of using Public storage. Moving is always a stressful time, but the property manager, Tabatha (spelling?), makes it quick and as painless as possible. 2020 - Clean, respectful and knowledge staff, stayed for 1 month and couldnt have had a better experience. The manager was really sweet and she helped me find the best size unit... I highly recommend this public storage.

*Another Great Experience at same location * We wanted a second unite for work and I left my name at waiting list . I received a call from a very nice Gentleman Named Don Farr.. he informed me that a unit just came available less than five minutes ago and that he went through the notes and my name was on the top of the list and ask me if I can be there within an hour to sign a lease on it. He greeted me by name when I walked in knowing that I have an appointment quickly took me with the golf course to see great unit extremely clean and ready to go. He was extremely polite and very nice to deal with. Within less than 15 minutes I was on my way out the door after I signed The lease . Great experience all around thank you Don and what a great location .

It is gated in, and is surrounded by a very safe community. One of the managers Ron was very friendly, and came right up to us to ask us how our day was going. We have been waiting for nearly three weeks for the air-conditioned units to be fixed. It's well over 95 degrees in these units. Please fix them and I will upgrade this review. If not, I will continue to down grade it. From my understanding, you have been informed weeks ago.

Great storage area, clean and secure

This is my second review because I just upgraded my unit to a larger one the other day. I just have to say how happy I have been renting here. I have always felt like I was getting ripped off with storage units but this place has been the best. Prices are by far the best and customer service couldn't be better. I actually feel good about giving this business my money. The manager/owner (?) Tabitha is just awesome. Highly recommend.

The people at the office are very nice and helpful! The district a manager Manny is great too! The customer service at the cooperate level when I called to inquire after moving out was less then satisfactory. The guy on the phone gave me one word answers. I inquired about a refund for leaving mid month and was told “no”. When I asked for clarification I was told “no” and then after some more probing I was told “our policy is no prorated refunds” I appreciate the fact that this company cares about there reputation enough to to reach out to make things right with their customers, past and present.

Location was extremely convenient, but raised rates too frequently, communication was terrible, office was close during work hrs too often, A/C broke, ceiling insulation falling down and locks old and hard to open. I stayed due to convenience until my monthly rate almost doubled. Switched to another company nearby - clean, great service, great communication and great rates. Glad I decided to ignore the location convenience and switch. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

Public Storage, as a company, was very helpful in informing me about what I should consider when storing our household items here in Sarasota, Florida. They then worked hard to find me a unit appropriate to my needs as the one I had reserved would not have worked. And finally, the manager of the facility I eventually used, Tabatha, was wonderful, sweet, and very helpful. I'm very happy with my experience with this company overall, and with this facility, in particular.

Reserved online, and then got the most pleasant associate at the location! She went above and beyond to help me choose the right unit for my needs.

I was able to find a storage unit for a reasonable price online and make a reservation. When I went in I met Tabatha. She is quite friendly and very capable. She showed me a nice, clean storage unit and we locked it with the lock they sell. We completed all the needed paperwork. She made sure to ask if I needed any supplies. So far this has been a good experience.

I've been renting at this self storage place for so long. Iv seen a quite a few different managers in the last few years but Tabatha is so great. She always has a smile on her face, and she is friendly. Her customer service is truly manager material.

I have been a customer for five years using a large space for retail storage and they constantly raise rates and offer the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My space originally cost me $150 per month and is now over $350 per month. I have another unit with Extra Space and they are waaaay better.

I got a storage unit 4 months ago and just received a notice in the mail that my rate will be going up by almost $20! Called the corprate number and they said rates go up every 6 months.
