Their prices are bait and switch. Expect your price to jump 50% or more after a couple months, even more if they trick you with the “internet price “. Mine nearly doubled. Mine was $265 when i first started (not an introductory price, that was the actual advertised price) it then went up to $455 a few months later despite them still advertising identical adjacent units for $265 still.

Needed to make a payment quick, stopped in on Walsingham and even though that isn't my home store, within a couple of minutes, Myrtie was able to get the job done with a friendly smile on her face.

Absolute disaster of a storage facility, completely mismanaged and on top of that they rip their customers off constantly. The rates that they quote you wont be what you will pay after a couple months, they constantly arbitrarily rase rates about 30% after you have all your stuff moved in. There are no asterisks or introductory rates, they just raise them to rip you off…

If only the person I had spoken to a few months ago had told me that they had someone to cut the lock off my unit with the purchases of a lock, it could've saved me a lot of time and money as I'm from out if town. The person I spoke to prior basically told me that I would need to purchase a metal grinder to take the lock off my unit. So, I called and spoke to Steve today as I was at home depot about to purchase a metal grinder and he informed me that if I damage the door, I would be responsible for damages. That's when he informed me of their service to cut locks off. I need to return in a week but worth the additional trip. THANK YOU Steve!!!!

I love this location on ulmerton road in largo I spoke to a manager Trish she was quite knowledgeable I was looking for a 5x10 she did not have one available she did suggest if she could point me towards a different location I do believe she said she had a 5x15 I believe I would return to the store if she had my size very clean on site storage units but definitely like the location towards the beach she is an amazing friendly person would trust her with my property on that location and any questions I had definitely an asset to your team many storage managers are not as pleasant and take the time to help you thank you..

I dealt with the employee, Trish. It was just a string of unusual things going wrong. She is a great employee. Very professional and super nice. This facility is just great! Easy drive in even if you have a large trailer. Secure, 3 story building and different sizes to choose from. The girl at the front was great and made our move in very easy. We looked around before renting and chose this facility for price and service. Book online for the best rates! Again the people at the front went above and beyond to help me out when a family emergency happened and I needed access to unit. Very understanding and helpful.

This is an excellent facility, clean, managed well, and convenient. The staff was very helpful, especially Angela, Last year, she helped me move in just after a hurricane (when others would have said no). And she called me as a courtesy two weeks after move in to make sure everything was OK. Recently, she has been helpful with exploring more storage options. Many thanks to Public Storage.

So far I have found my experience with PS to be excellent. My 1st visit to the Ulmerton facility did not meet my needs; the employee quickly researched and found the best option available for my needs in the area. Angela at the Walsingham facility was professional and friendly (almost like it's her own business). While we didn't originally think we needed air conditioning, we have VERY much appreciated it during loading/unloading and knowing my stuff is in a temperature controlled environment. Additional carts would be helpful.

Expensive but secured and good

The facilities are very clean and well kept. Prices are average, nothing to get overly excited about. They could use more than 3 carts for the main storage building. Be prepared to wait for one on a Saturday or Sunday. EDIT: Dropped from a 3 star to a 2... they now only have 2 carts. 06/29/17

Nice enough storage space but the staff person was a bit upset when we said we were shopping locations after he had showed us some storage spaces. He told us we should do that by internet (we had already done that and were finalizing our decision based on "seeing" the locations). Chose U-Haul Storage up the street because of much more pleasant experience and slightly larger space for roughly the same price.

I was very impressed with the manager, Angela. She was very friendly and accommodating. Her attitude was much appreciated.

Well i have a friend whom i wish i could have help with pay the storage .But with that being said she and son lost everything today..She was in abusive place in her life so she had to put things there😥All she had was lost today baby pictures, pictures of family members that has pass on..Her father miltary flag and pictures,Children awards and so many more special personal items, the bibles..I know people must pay but if the world really care about people they would just listen..But instead public storage rather auctions things off to strangers.Then just saying hey what's going on and just listen to people..An the thing is material things didn't matter..The personal items was everything that can't be replaced..This storage and any other storage needs to really think about some new policy..An let people have atleast a hour to get what really matters to there heart..So tonight for this woman who was abuse has lost the heart of. Her life and childrens ..So no there is nothing good to say..But Angela was nice..Just the place has no heart..So it's like mourning a death that is hard especially after being rip apart for many years. So i know whom ever took the things didn't care at all ..😥 my opinion just heart broken 💔someone life memories gone without compassion..😥

I had storage for 13 months and 1 day, and the company wouldn't give me full or partial credit for the last month paid in full.

We had a very good experience with Angela. We were shown the unit and were guided through the process easily and without problem. We would recommend this facility to anyone.

Very clean and very convenient place to store goods. The issue I had hence my 2 star rating is we wanted to down size and they would rather you move out than give you the web price which was 15% cheaper than the regular rate. We ended up moving our stuff to Metro Storage on Belcher. They worked with us and were great, and we got an unreal price. It was a pain to move our stuff but we are saving 2/3rd's the price we were paying and 30% less off the reg rate they were willing to give us. Sad to see a company not worried about the customer and their needs.

The place is well kept very clean.I had the pleasure of working with Angela she went out of her way to help me relocate a friend's possessions form a larger unit to a smaller one which best fit her needs.the travel distance between both units was short and throughout the process she was kind and very professional.if I ever get the chance to recommend this public storage I surely will knowing that my experience and theirs will be the same thanks Angela.

I've used public storage in the past for a business account and the facilities are well ventilated and climate controlled and everybody was really nice so I just opened up another personal account. I didn't have to use it very long but I would highly recommend public storage on Walsingham Road and ask for Angela.

Excellent location! The lot is very easy to drive around. There is no clutter. The inside, climate-controlled area is also clutter free. The associates are helpful and courteous. I moved from an outside space into an inside space mostly with ease. The only problem I encountered were there were not enough carts (only 4) on a Saturday morning and all were taken. I suggest buying more carts for moving. Everything else about this storage facility is excellent!

Angela did a great job helping me decide on a size I needed. Very well run facility. Clean & neat.

On phone called received quote: First, I was told that it was a 10 x 30. When I measured the unit it was off measurements. Second you can not go from wall to wall because they have these metal straps that take up over 6 inches or more from the wall in certain areas. So although that may not affect some people it does for me. Now the unit is 9'4" in some places if you plan on putting boxes across that will short you. I recommend bring a tape measure and you will see the shortage. Next they want you to buy their lock because of some reason which i still do not understand, was told me that it had to pass their inspection. I did look and it seemed everyone had one, When i got the paperwork home and read the fine print. It said (Occupant own expense, a lock for the premises which occupant deems sufficient to secure the premises). Oh the lock will cost you about $20. You do get to keep the lock. You also pay sign up fee about $26. Also the place is open from 6:30 to 9:00 pm this is not told to you until later. Most of the other places i rented have been 24 hour access. Now this is where i got really upset. I am a business and liquidating to a smaller unit. I have insurance, they tried to sell me insurance. I did not have proof available at the time of signing. Never told that i would have to bring it. It wasn't until i said, "you guys have blind sided me" FIRST, short on space, SECOND buying a lock, THIRD not 24hr access, FOURTH sign up fee, FIFTH proof of insurance or buy theirs. I told them to call off the deal. I presented my business license and business card to show that i am a business and of course carry insurance on my inventory. Wow, what a experience to just rent a unit. They finally gave me paperwork to sign. If i was not under a deadline to relocate the inventory for a few months. I would have walk out on the deal. They should explain all this before you come in and set a appointment, knowing you can moving in that day. I wish i didn't have the truck schedule to move in that day.

I have been to this facility several times to purchase shipping supplies. This facility is always so clean and the staff are friendly. Angela made sure I got a great deal on boxes.

I needed a small storage unit, and this facility was the closest to where I live. There were a few more places down the road, but after I spoke with Wanda and she showed me the unit, I knew I didn't have to look any further. She was very friendly and professional, and answered all the questions I had.

Rip off! Price quoted was misleading, made no mention that insurance was required, did not detail the cancellation policy( cancelled less than 24hrs later and received nothing$ back), was told the boxes not used could be returned and then denied that when we tried to return them, area manager David Friday was very rude when we spoke with him. Not a happy or pleasant experience, cannot recommend this business and if I ever need a storage unit in the future they will not get my business.

We had a wonderful experience with the Public Storage facility on Walsingham Road in Largo. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, the facility was clean and secure, and we found it was very easy to access our household items during the four years we used their services.

OMGosh...what a wonderful facility! Our business requires us to rent multiple storage units on a monthly basis for additional warehouse space. The facility at Walsingham is simply awesome, the grounds are immaculate and the interior bldgs. are wonderfully clean. What's even better is working with Wanda! What a wonderful facility manager and a jewel of an employee! Her customer service skills are top-notch, which for me are imperative! If you ever need storage space in this part of Pinellas County, please stop in and meet Wanda...take a facility tour! I think you'll be as impressed as I have been...and continue to be!

Went in to buy boxes for my move and although it was a little pricey, I ended up buying because of the service I was given by Wanda. I expected it to be like any other retail outlet but she took the time to ask me what I was moving and then explained everything to me and why I needed it. I bought a lot more than I expected to but the service was well worth it. Note..don't buy just a few boxes because the prices are pretty high. You have to buy in bulk to make the prices reasonable. Would have been a 5 star but the prices are a little more than I wanted to spend.

When dealing with a large (or small ) company the person that we speak with is "the face" of that company. As such that person's performance, attitude and helpfulness is ultimately responsible for whether or not we like the company and continue to do business with them. I've been using Public Storage for 10 years and for the past 8 or so Wanda has truly been a gem. She is a genuine person, very helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Public Storage should consider themselves very lucky to have Wanda as the "face" of the company at this location.

Wanda, the manager, helped us pick out the correct size unit for our extra furniture and belongings as we consolidated our households, pending our finding a larger home. She showed us the available unit sizes and explained how much each would typically hold. Once we had made our choice, Wanda walked us through the paper work and pointed out many convenience features, such as auto-pay, and explained that we should check with our insurance agent to see if our belongings were already covered under our existing policies (they were!). We were also struck by how neat, clean and well-maintained the property was. I will certainly be recommending this Public Storage location, and Wanda, to any of our friends who find that they need a convenient and well-run storage facility.

For four years we have been using this Public Storage. We had added, downsized, combined, moved from one floor to another. All with the help of the people who work in our facility. Our biggest helper has been Wanda, who always has time for us. We have one unit now, but it does not matter to her: she helps when we need help. The floors are always clean, making it a pleasure to do work when we need to. Since we live in a small condo, we know we will have use and convenience of this location. Where else would we keep the Christmas tree and the Easter baskets? A nice place. With good people.

I have had a storage unit at the Walsingham location, 29147 for 5 years. Wanda is an absolute joy to work with. I give this property 5 out of 5 for professionalism, cleanliness, and a hassle-free storage experience. I left FL 5 years ago and could not bring all of my belongings with me. Wanda was such a dream, she worked with me from my Chicago base and arranged to have the unit set up and ready when the movers arrived. If you have storage needs I highly recommend this location. I have had to call several times over the years for various things and Wanda is always available, professional, kind and accommodating to any needs. Enjoy -- I will miss Wanda, I feel like we "broke-up" when I cleaned out the unit :)
