RUN!!! As of 3/2/22 my storage cost was $181 . It is now 4/13/23 (just one year later) and it has gone up to $355!!! That is an increase of $174 in one year!!! Ugh! This is so stressful. That's an extra $2088 per year!!! I've had storage units in the past and never, ever, have I had this type of increase. I never would have chosen you had I known this was the case.

Nice and clean facility. There is only one cart to help bring or take out of your unit. This should be fixed with multiple carts.

UPDATED STARS: I was fairly promptly contacted about this issue and it was more than satisfactorily resolved. I am impressed with the customer service I received regarding this issue, and have changed my review from 1 to 4 stars. Previously: Facility is clean and seems secure. However, after nearly a year, the app still does not work on the gate, but more importantly, they have upped the rent substantially about every 60-90 days! It's RIDICULOUS! I'm stuck there, but I can't believe how often they raise the rent for a small, empty space that takes virtually no maintenance.

Poor service, always rude thats when there is someone behind the desk because hours of operation doesn't mean someone is there. Any chance they get they trying to but a lein on your unit or late fees even if you a week late.

Nick has been wonderful, any issues I have or could have had he either fixed it or prevented it just by being honest.

If your planning on renting here, please consider the $25-$50 increase they apply every 6 months. We started out paying $100/mo in 2020, with the increase it’s now $200. Be sure to review how often they increase rent. Don’t get sucked in with a cheaper first month.

I had to last minute get a storage unit due to my landlord making us move. I had never rented a storage before, Ria was so patient and very personable. He walked me through everything and was a sweetheart about having to repeat himself. Definitely would come back for the respect given and my dignity kept intact. I truly appreciate not feeling stupid due to something new. So I appreciate that. The facility was also very clean and well lit. I also love the promotion he helped me find.

JESSICA did everything in her power and then some to help me in a situation that really didn't need to even happen. I called her yesterday, she called me back once to keep me updated and then this morning I just received a call that the problem that I was told would take two weeks to take care of was now solved!! Seriously one of the best managers at a hospitality establishment. She really took care of me as a customer and that will forever be appreciated! Highly recommend this storage space especially since the pricing is super affordable for what you get!!

The counter person was extremely smug and disrespectful when we tried to discuss the problem of paying for the whole month. WOW, superstar service by Steve onsite and Silvi at corporate in Boston. I am in a divorce situation and living in the same house as the Ex while we get it on the market. Trust me, I'd rather stick something sharp in my eye. Talk about stress reduction. Steve put me in the perfect unit for me and Silvi helped out at corporate since the Ex has a unit in a different Public Storage location. Steve's friendly, great service got me in and out in a flash and calmed a few of my nerves. He went over security, lighting, hours of operation, etc. My thanks to you both. Having a great experience renting my storage

I called on the phone to ask some questions about the storage and Sarah was able to answer all my questions and was really nice.

It was my first time here. Coming to storage a few things and Sarah was such a big help with everything! She was super sweet and her attitude was so positive. Def going to be coming back here more often!

I was in a bind to get boxes to move and was met with a closed sign but... the friendly staff (Cathy & Mandy) still chose to open early to let me get what I needed and held up the start of their day and meeting to help me out and not send me away. Amazing customer service!!! They were friendly and helpful. Definitely the best stop I’ve made today!

The girl Sarah behind the counter was real nice I came in to buy some tape cause I was in desperate need and didn't have time to go to Walmart she helped me and tried to get me to get some boxes and a few other thing but I didn't need them at the time. Yesterday was a very emotional day for me. My mom passed away exactly 6 months ago at the time I was there. I had some issues with my gate code and I must say Dawn was like an angel. She was great with me helped me with my code and help me calm down. Its people like Dawn's customer service that makes a difference. Thanks public storage for hiring Dawn!!!!

Went to check pricing for a storage unit the other day; Jennifer was very nice and took time to explain everything to me and showed me the size unit I would need. She made me feel very comfortable during the entire time I was there. The office was very clean and the area was very well kept. It was great customer service and while I decided not to rent, I will be back in the future.

My experience was no experience. I called the 800# after I sent an email to make sure I could lock in rates. The phone rep took my info, held a unit for me. He said he would email me info but never did. I was going to check it out before closing, but I didn't make it, so I called to set up an appt for the next day. I left 3 messages throughout the day, nobody called back. Then I see Public Storage emailed to thank me for my online inquiry, meaning, it was never held in the first place. I emailed twice, still no reply. 1 star for a negative first impression because if they can't handle a hold on a unit, or reply to a customer who is interested in purchasing with money in hand, how will they handle a customer who already paid? Poor communication. Moving is stressful enough and this didn't help. Update: I was contacted by district manager Sylvie, who offered to make amends regarding this review. She was adamant they make customer service their priority, apologized for the way it was handled, so I decided to give them another chance. When I went to see the unit, I was greeted by Dakina (excuse the spelling), who was friendly and eager to assist me. I was impressed with the climate controlled units, the cleanliness of the building, the automatic lighting, and gate code entry, which ensured my safety. The only thing I wish was that I had applied online to get the $1 for the first month. If you pay in-store, it will cost you more, so keep this in mind. I'm upgrading the score from 1 star to 4 stars. Thank you for contacting me and showing your concern. It means a lot when companies listen.

This is the best storage facility I have ever used and Teresa in the office was wonderful!

Moving is stressful and overwhelming, and I've done it 15 times in 17 years! I'm a loyal customer of Public Storage (my locks have their stickers on them already!), but as with many things every location doesn't provide the same level of service. When I came into this location Archie was in trainee-mode, but I could tell immediately that he was going to become an asset to Public Storage. He has a natural affinity for customer service, and you can tell that he genuinely likes people. In just a few days, Teresa (the Property Manager) was out for a few days, and Archie was at the property alone. He handled an issue that I had without being freaked out or nervous. He was handling another customer when I came in, and I've been having some difficulty with my leg, but he immediately offered me a seat while he finished up with that transaction, and he didn't miss a beat! I can say, without a doubt, that Teresa has been THE BEST Property Manager that I've dealt with. She is professional, knowledgeable, and easy-going which helps cause I was a wreck and physically distressed, so much so that I crashed my car into my moving truck during move #1! You won't find a better person to handle your move, and I know that I'm in good hands with her around. Thank you, Teresa, for all of your patience and assistance!

I received a notification at the beginning of the month that my local Public Storage facility was not able to process my monthly payment as they had for the past 3 years. I had called and spoke with the Property Manager Nora Valentine who had gone exceptionally above and beyond to help correct my issue. After calling customer service twice and receiving no additional help Nora had me come in to the facility directly by reaching out to me personally utilizing her own personal cell phone after a lightning strike had knocked out their phone system mid call that we had been on. She quickly processed my payment as well as re-registered my account. Thank you Nora! For all your help and patience as well as waking me thorough the process.

Went by 3 times in 2 days to sign paperwork and get unit. Everytime the door is locked and sign says will be back at some point

I have stored at the Park Blvd Facility since 2002, that alone should speak for itself. I have found the staff to be both knowledgeable and professional with special kudos to Steve and a tip of the cap to Teresa with whom I've dealt with the most.

Teresa and Wealthy at our Public Storage location (4231 Park Blvd./Store #07119), have been extremely nice and given us great treatment and advice. They were both very thorough, answered our questions, and they were kind. I'm happy we tried this location first the day we went out to find a storage unit, Wealthy helped us that day and was very efficient in understanding what would suit our needs. She is one of the main reasons we picked the first place we had stopped at. Wealthy did mention this is not her usual store so I hope she gets credit for this! Hi! Teresa is the Manager and has been just as welcoming, kind, and helpful. New to this Public Storage location and so very impressed! I've used storage facilities for about 15 years (for my job) and this one is BY FAR the cleanest and most well-maintained . Lighting always seems to be an issue and it is very well lit. The hours of the office and even more importantly, the gates, are awesome; always open when I need it. The price was great and I'd say overall the best thing about it is the customer service. Steve (property manager) is wonderful! He always has a smile and is so very willing to help out in any way possible. I'd give this Public Storage 5 STARS!!

First time my family ever used a storage facility and found property to be extremely clean, plus A/C'd. I felt personal belongings securely protected as well. Steve at the front desk was extremely helpful on move out day when the United Van Lines crew loaded up. I would recommend and use again if needed.

Great place to find all of the moving boxes you need at a good price. You need to buy in bulk to get a great price but they take back everything you dont use for a full refund. Teresa and staff are the best storage people I have ever dealt with!! Very friendly, helpful and honest. The unit and property were always clean and never had any problems like I did at another storage place here in Florida. When Public Storage changed their policy on what it would cost when you moved out they took care of me and honored the price I had been told prior to the change which saved me a lot of money right after closing on a new house. Would highly recommend renting here!!

I've received not one, not two, but THREE phone calls THREE DAYS IN A ROW stating my lock is still on the unit and I need to come remove it. My lock has been with me since the day I left the unit and signed off on my lease. They must have poor management and poor security if somebody else has been able to put a lock on the unit after I left and now I'm told I will be charged $250 for a unit I'm not even using!

I have kept my stuff at this public storage facility for more than a year. I love, knowing my stuff is secure. The facility has always been very clean, security works well. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. I'm staying here because I found this facility top notch.

Teresa is an outstanding professional. If Public Storage executives were smart, they would give her a raise and an outstanding annual bonus because she is a major asset to the company. I recently moved to St. Petersburg after quite an ordeal. She was extremely helpful in getting me the best space and price, follow up, and handling every detail efficiently. She did this with a very kind supportive attitude which made such a difference when under the stress of a move. I have moved quite a bit and she was unforgettable.

I'm renting a storage unit to hide Christmas presents from the kids! I have 3 grandkids that love to search the house from top to bottom looking for presents to find out what they got. My son and I rented 1 unit from Aug 2014 to Aug 2015. Teresa assisted in checking us in and out and was a pleasure to work with both times. She showed us the unit the first time and we noticed how clean the unit and the entire property was. When we checked out Teresa even assisted us by allowing us to keep our fully loaded truck on the secure property until we departed the next morning. At 1st I was very pleased with my experience as I checked in for the very first time with Teresa. She reassured me if I needed to pro rate because I plan on moving out in the middle of a month that this would not be a problem BUT once I called and told her I would be moving a few days after the 6th she told me I would be charged for the whole month and she is unable to pro rate because the system doesn't allow her to. Which I don't believe is true and is the most asinine thing I have ever heard. Considering I moved in at the ending of the month and Teresa was able to pro rate my move in total. Also my friend has the exact same unit as I do and she reserved it online just as I did BUT was not given the special rate and is being over charged for her unit and once again was given the run around about the pricing by Teresa. I should have stuck with the storage place that has NEVER let me down and has always honored their word (Budget Storage on Gandy). I will never rent another storage unit from this place Public Storage ever again. And the $1 move in price is just a lie to get you in. Also I had my own padlock which I was told by Teresa I could not use because they make everyone use the special locks they sale (overpriced of course) BUT as I was walking to my new unit(after forcefully purchasing their overpriced lock) I saw other units with the same kind of lock I already had of my own but was told I could not use by Teresa.

I'd like to thank Teresa for all her help when I came in for supplies for my last minute move. Not only was she helpful and sweet to me but she also had a lot of patience with my cranky children who were running around. She definitely made my day a bit easier and I was able to get everything I needed in one stop. Thank You! I definitely recommend this store for anyone's moving or storing needs

Hello everyone!! My name is Francies Floyd and I met Teresa and Nora in October 2013 when I was searching for a place to store my furniture. It was a very special day in my life... The hospitality, caring attitude and friendliness of Tereas and Nora was exceptional! After assigning the only available unit to me, they later received a vacancy that was directly adjacent to the door leading into the facility. They immediately assigned this unit to me, thereby making the transition of storing my furniture much easier because I did not have to go deep into the facility. They also were on top of the billing process!!! Late fees were avoided due to a friendly call from Teresa on those occasions when I forgot the due date and was running late with my payment. We have been with this location for almost 2 years now. Teresa helped us when we really needed a bigger unit on our very first day. Teresa has always been cheerful and helpful to us over the past several years. I forgot once to secure our unit completely with slide bar. Teresa called me to let me know right away so we could get it secured. Teresa is a real professional manager and a delight to interact with. We give her 5 stars!!

I have had storage units from coast to coast, and I was pleasantly surprised with this location and Public Storage. Units were clean, easy to get to and the main office had many supplies if I needed them. Nora was amazing to work with, several times going above the call of duty trying to set my account up. She has always been very accommodating whenever I needed anything!

I had a great experience at the Public Storage on Park Blvd. I rented climate controlled storage and my belongings were in excellent condition when I moved out. The manager Teresa was great to work with, If the need should ever arise again I would definitely use this Public Storage location again!

I have used this facility to store goods since from 2002 to the present day (1/2/14). My initial impressions that this is a clean well operated facility safe enough to store my goods has been consistently reinforced by the Public Storage operations personnel over the years. The operations and maintenance levels here have been superlative in all respects, I will continue to use Public Storage as a place to store my additional goods over all others.

The facility is very well kept and quite clean. The services provided are excellent and Teresa, the property manager is doing an outstanding job.
