Gates are left unlocked so any one can get in. Went to put the code in to open the door and the door's are unlocked! This is unacceptable! They upped the prices last November. For them to have an unlocked gate and doors is why I'm moving my stuff out of there this week.

Company promised climate control facility, ended up having a hole in the roof. All of my property was destroyed by water, mold and pests. Damage was extensive. Corporate told us they are not responsible for any damage. When we closed out the account, they tried to charge us the following month, Ashley and Laurie said that shouldn't have happened and they will take care of it. Instead, they sent it to collections. This issue began September 29th 2019. We are still getting nowhere and going through legal channels.

Pros: Very clean and secure Cons: on the expensive side. You get hit with an admin fee, they require you to get insurance, and the only lock you can use is from them for $19.99. Other storages will not require you to have insurance, or charge a admin fee, or make you use their lock. Uhual allowed me to use a cheap lock of my own I got for 5 bucks. Unfortunately uhual didnt have any spaces available when I needed, so I ended up here. Another negative is they leave alot. Josie is usually the only one their, and even if she isnt they all step out and store is basically open (according to store hours) but locked because they went to do something. So today, when I was done moving, they had stepped out and locked the door, so we had to wait around for them to get back. They need additional staff, because the store shouldnt be closed for any period of time, short or long, during business hours. Also note: General Manager Josie cut my lock because I apparently improperly locked it. She had called me to send one of my keys in, so she could properly lock it. I did so, and weeks passed by before I got another call saying they hadnt recieved it, so they cut it. They did secure my stuff until I came and got it, but that 20 dollar lock I purchased, well I lost out on that value. Overall too many extra fees for my liking, but will do the job if you have no other choice.

I went to get my stuff today....its been there for about 4 months. There were cockroaches and spiders COVERING my stuff. The last time I had been there I threw a roach bomb deal in there so there was like 5 dead roaches. Today, there were like 10 big ones and hundreds of babies. On top of that, the street where my unit was is lopsided and the drain is backed up so when I went there a couple times during the rain season I couldn't even reach my unit because there was a 2 foot deep puddle surrounding it, which ruined some of my stuff.

From the moment we arrived to our saying Goodbye Josie was a Joy to work with her Professionalism and the way she listen to us meant a lot along with her being so friendly.Thank you for helping us. L.K

Seriously great service! I was flying out of Sanford and did not want to pay outrageous parking prices. I rented a space and parked my vehicle at this facility. The ladies at this Public Storage were so nice, they even let me stay inside while I waited for my Uber. 10/10 would recommend.

I only used this storage for a very short period. I've used this company before in another part of the country. Never had a problem, just be sure you pay on time. And I appreciate that someone live on site for that security.

I wanted to put this review in detail to show how much your company is fortunate to have such a team; just to mention that this management team is good does not give their work ethics any justice. Josie and Chris are the two of the most patient "civilians" that I had the privilege of meeting and doing business with since retiring from the US Army. This type of team work is what we "Military" command, regardless of which branch you serve. It takes this type of commitment and dedication to ensure mission success regardless of the organization civil or governmental. My wife and I are traveling in a 36' Fleetwood Bounder with a 5X8 trailer. The RV is scheduled to be serviced under warranty and we needed needs to place all of our personal belongings in a storage unit until the shop completed this task. After we arrived at the Sanford location, Josie and Chris had everything we requested ready, but I requested to change the configuration of the original order and asked if we could do something different (this would take too long to explain) that would make it easy for me to maneuver and shorten my time to unload my RV. Josie and Chris said it was no problem, they remained calm and very helpful during the new planning of the new request. I changed mine so many times, it took almost two hours to accomplish what should have been a twenty minute ordeal; but, the results were awesome and your staff was patient. This is what customer service should look like: 1. Josie and Chris: Physically and visually checked to ensure that we had a unit that was easy access to unload contents of my RV. 2. Josie and Chris: Found a parking space for my trailer that allowed me to maneuvering the trailer without multiple maneuvers. 3. Statement: To the owner of Public Storage, Sanford Florida. I surmise that you sleep, vacation, and enjoy your ownership because of the leadership and teamwork of these two; and if other service rendering company's followed suite they would sleep easy too. We are new to this area and while out driving we passed this particular storage facility. Finding storage was also on the top of our to do list. Pulled in and 15 mins later, we had EXACTLY what we needed! Josie was super professional, knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. Security appears to be a priority, someone lives on-site, well lighted after dark, clean, easy access!

I had an accident inside unit where a put a hole through a wall and the manager allowed me to repair it on my own , without a costly out of pocket carpenter .

Protect you thing by finding a better storage company. Highly upset and disappointed with my Public Storage experience. I joined the United States Army in April of this year and decided to store my belongings here while I was away for training based off the good review's I read. After my training was complete I returned home to have my things moved to my duty station. When I opened the unit again in September there was clearly a huge rodent problem. On top of that the roof had a hole in it and water had been dripping all over everything. Most of my things in the unit were fairly new and expensive. The vermin insurance policy for public storage is ridiculous only covering $250 at the max for all damage. I was paid for the water damage but my losses greatly exceeded that. In my opinion I felt that because of all the problems with the unit, they should have waived my payment for that last month at least. I called the corporate office several times to discuss the situation and the big boss, (Justin?) Who they kept sending me to, was never available. Still I left messages and the calls were never returned. This morning I received a phone call from some debt collectors saying that I owe Public Storage money. Leave to go serve my country and have to come back to nothing. I know that was a mouth full but people need to know what they may be getting into. Something my have sentimental value to you and trust me when I say that rats eat everything! Also don't trust all of these positive review's on here. They asked me to go online and give them 5 stars and type a nice review even before I moved my things into the unit so I'm sure other people were told the same thing. Hope this information helps keeps the next family from making a huge mistake. Support our troops!

Excellent customer service but their hours suck. For the amount of money you pay for their facility you would think you could have 24 hour access

Had to change my 4 star review to a 1. Wish I could rate it 0. I have had an indoor storage unit at this facility for 5 years and paid over $6,000. For the first time there are rats in my unit, I'm assuming from an adjacent unit since I've never had an issue before. I've told the manager 3 times now. The rats are worse, even after placing rat bait, and the pest control company has failed to show up evidently. The insurance they force you to acquire covers only $250 worth of belongings damaged due to vermin. Oh, and you have to pay a $100 deductible. Don't trust your belongings here!!!
