They are thief’s. Do not rent from this place. They promise 24 hour security cameras but they are broken. Worst customer service ever stay away.

I have to say Tiffany was hands down the greatest person to work with. She accompanied my needs when I needed a unit and then when I needed a bigger one she was able to help me quickly and get me into a larger space. She was a true life saver this week. Thank you for all your help

TERRIBLE NO HELP DO NOT RENT HERE I spoke on the phone with someone specifically saying that I needed a space to fit a vehicle. He proceeds to then say we have a space for your needs and tells me about it to which I then say will work. I pay the fees over the phone and wait 2 days to go in as I work M-F 9-7 or later, upon arriving I look for the unit for 10 minutes to find out it is an indoor unit with access only through a 3 foot wide doorway. I then called them and got no answer to which I left a stern voicemail but did NOT use any profanity. I get a call back today from the “manager” Tiffany who proceeds to speak over me constantly after asking politely to stop doing so, so I could explain my situation. She offered no help, HUNG UP ON ME, and does not answer any of my 6 calls back. I will be in contact with corporate offices so I can speak with someone who is professional and has the brains to try to help a customer with minimal wants/needs. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!

I came in yesterday because I unexpectedly have to move I was frantic and stressed but your employee Tiffany was an amazing help. She calmed me down and talked me through the whole process, she helped me find a space that worked perfect for all my belongings and made sure it was something I could afford.

Purchased my storage unit online for a very good price. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, but there was a few issues that were not addressed. When I checked in, I needed to download the app, which allowed me easy access in and out of the gate. The manager was available to assist me with understanding the whole system including insurance.

I have had my storage unit for 3 years with zero problems. The staff is terrific, and the facility seems very secure. The gate works well. My only concern is the monthly rent price, which is excessive. Truly excessive. August 2022: The rates haven't changed yet. It's still excessive at nearly $500 per month! They painted the outside walls, bit didn't repair the dented aluminum panels. The side chained gate has been damaged for 6 years and looks terrible.

I had to rent a larger unit (20" ) and was quoted a price but when I got there is was a lot more. I was paying over $450 a month for the unit and added in fees. They have been great and, since I had moved a lot into the new place, offered me to transfer to a smaller unit and credit the amount I have paid this month.

I rented a unit here a couple of years ago. It was your typical average experience and I couldn’t wait to release the unit. This time, however, the service and technology is much improved. In particular, Jodi, at the front desk is helpful, friendly, and efficient. Thank you, Jodi.

I called and reserved a 5 × 10 outdoor, ground-level unit at a specific location most convenient to me. I asked the rep on the phone whether he needed a deposit to hold the unit. He said NO. I asked him how that could be, and he assured me that I had until Dec 1. Two days later, I showed up, and they HAD NOT held a unit for me! 🤬 Thankfully, I hadn't shown up with a full truck and a moving crew! There conveniently was a much larger and more expensive unit available, and I ended up at their other facility, INDOORS, second level. Well, there is no way I am going to my storage unit by myself after dark as a 5'4" 130 lb female. I also do not wish to be in enclosed quarters as my mom is 92, and I am her caregiver. That's a different issue altogether. Oh, and instead of one month's free rent, I got some one-time surcharge! Sweet, aren't they? My advice? Shop around. ;-)

You should steer clear of this particular Public Storage on Beneva Road, I rented a "climate controlled" unit for a few months, I emptied my unit on a Friday morning, July 2nd, and the office was closed. My July rent was charged to my account the day before and they would not give me any kind of refund so I paid an entire extra month. Worse though, there was a large hole in the roof of my unit and so my things got all wet. First I called Customer Service and they directed me to Christina, the District "Manager". I left a message and she never returned my call. Then, I was sent a survey by email and gave them a terrible review, but never heard back again. There are lots of storage businesses in the area, I would suggest you choose another one.

They let my friends go back in on their last day to get the rest of their stuff but when they went to hit yhe code to get out the gate wouldn't open and they were stuck inside the storage lot all night with my car.

There are not enough adjectives to describe how kind Christina is. She does an amazing job keeping everything secure and clean. This is an wonderful location to rent a storage unit at. I would reccomend it to everyone.

Never before a renter of storage space, I was expecting Storage Wars...or worse. Happily Shari made the experience human, making the otherwise annoying rental procedure bearable.

Having experience of a number of different storage companies, they are all more or less the same. Public Storage, however, has the edge when it comes to their property managers. Shari, at this Public Storage outpost, was fun, friendly, calm, humorous, informative and most importantly, human.

This is a really great central location. The price was the lowest I could get in this area. But Nick, at the Office... He is the BEST! Nick made sure I could see different size rooms and told me about "special" discount I could find on line. He was very kind and helpful and most of all; I felt my belongings would be safe and i would be safe going to and from the location. That the staff was conscientious. I did get a great deal on the rental. thanks!

Be very aware from renting from this place. They do not tell you that you must have insurance until you actually rent from them. It’s a complete hidden cost. When I called the corporate line, they told me the district manager is the person that makes that decision. Very shady business practice!

Rats ate up my furniture items at this place. Management said they're not responsible. Called insurance who only cover 300 with a 100 dollar deductible, so only 200. And insurance wants receipts of the furniture. I don't have receipts. But the furniture is mine. So it's my loss. I'd caution anyone from storing anything here.

Richard is outstanding, thorough & just a great guy. The facility is clean & on lockdown unless you have an access code. Climate controlled units, but they also have non-climate control. Thank you Richard.

Have to say the service at this location is excellent! Been renting a unit there for a while and needed to get a larger one. Richard was super at making sure I was happy with the new unit and even checked with me later to make sure everything was as expected. Great prices also.

I really don’t understand how this place has such great reviews. We went to check on our stuff in storage and every square inch was covered in rat dropping and all of our stuff was chewed apart. Their insurance only covers $250 in rodent damage and you have to pay a $100 deductible. That wouldn’t even cover a fraction of the cost of damage to our stuff. Nothing in my storage unit is salvageable. I’m so upset.

Changed pricing on me only after 3 months...

Things started out pretty decent but I was very disappointed to find out I was paying extra for climate control, which happened to be 80°.. most places keep their units around 72 or so. So we were sweating bringing stuff into the unit. Once we got outside of the unit that's when we got to cool down! so I was very disappointed with the fact that it was cooler outside and I could have got a cheaper unit with better climate control than paying extra for 80° :/

Changing my review to one star after less than a year. These guys jacked up the rent twice in 6 months and lied about several things. They charge ridiculous late fees and their front desk people are rude. Dont expect them to have tools to help you out with locks or door issues, even if they tell you they do, they wont. Glad we are moved out and will not use this company again.

I’ve been a long time customer at this storage. I have an online e-commerce business, so I visit the storage frequently. The staff is very helpful and friendly!!!! One time I didn’t lock my unit right, Richard was so amazing to secure it for me and let me know that I didn’t locked it properly, so I could go back and secure my unit. Great location, safe and clean. Highly recommend them!

Great customer service by Richard. I had never rented a storage unit and he explained everything thoroughly. When we were unloading into the unit the next day, he even brought us ice cold bottles of water. He came by a couple more times to make sure everything was working out as we had planned. My friend Donna had never used a storage facility before and was a little anxious about it. Richard put her at ease immediately. He was so efficient and friendly; got us checked in very fast before the rain started. Then the next day when we unloaded he was riding the cart around checking to make sure things were secure, saw us unloading her stuff and asked if we had water. We said no; that we had walked off without it, and bless his heart he actually drove off and returned in just a few minutes with water bottle for each of us. Not only did he bring us water, it was cold! So I would highly recommend Public Storage at Richard's location.

I came to the location with some questions about a temporary storage solution during a recent crosstown move. Richard was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He gave me a tour of the types of units available and a cost breakdown for each. While I didn't end up renting a unit, it was certainly not as a result of the staff or the facility; rather I was fortunate enough to have a friend lend me his garage to cover the couple months while I was in transition.

This place is a dump. The staff is rude and the guy that called me yelled at me for using the dumpster to put spider infested boxes in there. Then they charged me a months rent even though my unit was empty.

I'm surprised how many people wrote good reviews. I only picked this location because of all the good reviews however my unit was infested with big spiders, I ended up throwing most of my boxes away because I didn't want them in my car or new house.

This place has some very rude people who need to work on their customer service experience. I would not recommend this place. My unit had a lot of big spiders in it and rat poison

If I could give zero stars I would!!! Made a reservation way in advance... 2 days before my reservation date I called to confirm and they didn’t have my unit reserved. Their excuse was some how the dates got “changed” which was bs because I had received an email with the date I reserved. I believe they over booked the units and I was left scrambling to get a different unit at the last minute with a different company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!!

Richard the manager was awesome. He explained the entire rental process to me and was very clear that it’s a month to month lease and that there is no long term contracts that I’m tied too. Very helpful as I’m not sure how long I’m staying when I do rent.

Do not go 1 day past your expected move out date. These people will for sure charge for a full month if you do. No exeptions...

Great if you dont mind the guy entering and throwing out your possessions. We took off a lock for 1 night he entered and threw our shelving out even though we are current on payments.

Richard was great in helping us get an additional unit when we really needed one ASAP. We feel it is a very safe and secure facility, there is always Richard and Shelly checking on the place and units inside and out.

The gentleman at the front counter was very nice and helpful. I didn’t give 5 stars because storage companies have skeezy pricing policies. But yeah the guy at the front was great.

Rates are reasonably priced. Units and property are clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and professional, and incredibly helpful. Shari helped me find exactly what I was looking for and within my price range. Definitely deserving of a 5 star rating.

Shes an elderly woman. And the guy kept watching me as i cleaned out storage and swept it. Dont put your stuff here.

I Had the good fortune to do business with RICK the manager of the Beneva Rd. facility, yesterday, May 4th. In my opinion, I think management should be proud to have a gentleman, like Rick working for them. All my questions regarding boxes, bubble wrap, and questions regarding the unit I rented were answered in a knowledgeable and professional manner. I will be telling my neighbors and friends about this facility. Everything was extremely neat and clean. Kudos to Public Storage management, but especially to RICK!

We are planing a big move to Sarasota and needed a nice, clean, climate controlled facility to store our furniture in while waiting for our house to be ready. We called and Richard was extremely helpful on the phone and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The day we arrived, Richard was off, but Shari stepped in, showed us the storage units we were interested in and helping us make sure we had the units we needed close together. This is the most well run public storage facility I have ever used. The management really cares about the property, the goods held there, and their customers. A prime example of their caring customer support is when my wife and I were organizing our contents on a particularly hot day. The facility was well ventilated and the manager brought us two (2) much needed bottles of cold water. Great place, great service, a little security crazy, but we do live in a crazy world, so I guess it's a necessary inconvenience. Well done.

pricy?$$ kinda hard to understand pricing... not rented by square or cubic foot... If you call you may not end up talking to the local office (the number i called connected me to a national office) The local staff was great and easy to deal with! Area is clean and well lit and well maintained seems very secure... only open until 9pm

Excellent experience! Richard made the entire process, from start to finish, super easy! Our unit was clean and easy to access. We rented a climate control unit which was perfect to protect our electronics. Finally, I always felt completely safe.

I wanted to transfer into a smaller unit and the staff made the process quick and easy! They even found me a unit really close to my old one so the move was a piece of cake!

Have used Public Storage in another state, but It is refreshing to do business with these people. They are very friendly and accomodating. The sign up process was very easy. To top it off their rates are excellent !

My daughter needed an empty room to shoot a short movie for her high school film class. Upon asking many storage units in town, public storage was the only one nice enough to let us film on their grounds. Richard could not have been any nicer. I highly recommend using them for all of your storage needs, you will not be disappointed.

Richard was kind enough to let us use one of his empty air-conditioned storage units for the filming of a class project. He was extremely helpful from start to finish. The unit was very clean and cool and I would certainly recommend this facility to all who have storage needs.

They were professional and courteous. The units are very clean and they offer a grace period at the beginning of the month to pay your bills. Unlike other rental properties to start charging you on the 1st if you have not paid your bill Public Storage gives you a courtesy call to remind you that you need to pay your bill. That is great customer service and appreciated by someone who is human and forgets from time to time !

I had searched places for a thin and awkward huge size box, but Richard spotted one at the moment I entered the store. He then came out to my car, picked up my shipping item from the trunk, cut the box to size, wrapped it up together with Shari, and then carried it back out to the trunk. In addition, he recommended a very good shipping place. To my great satisfaction, the package arrived in excellent condition in California within a short time. I can highly recommend storage 25855. My business requires me to rent storage units all over the Florida area. So I am no rookie to the policies and procedures of doing so. I have never worked with such rude people both in the office and in Management team. This franchise location is not one that I would recommend working with.

Overall this has been a good experience. They have conditioned storage in a good location and the onsite property manager was friendly and helpful. I too dislike that they both require and sell insurance. I would prefer to determine my own needs. Also they need to do something to streamline their paperwork. I think I signed less when I bought my house.

Krystal and Larry were great. I switched from a larger unit to a smaller one and it went very smoothly. When I initially rented, the rental agent (not Krystal or Larry) also made it sound like I had to purchase the insurance. I cancelled it when I found out that I didn't need it. That has been my only concern.

They lock the bathrooms because of cleanliness. I think they just don't want to clean it. So after moving your stuff in to a storage unit and paying $200 + you can't use a restroom while visiting your unit.. when you ask them to unlock it they give you a nasty attitude and name 20 reasons why they won't unlock it. If I'm paying over $200 a month to store my things here I'd like to have a bathroom to use.. The staff member krystal got very nasty with an attitude I had to call corporate. Never again am I storing my things in this facility

Beware of their deceptive statement that "insurance is required". Sure, their rental agreement may state that, but is illegal for them to require you to purchase insurance from them. All you have to do is tell them you already have insurance. You could also ask the salesperson if they're a licensed insurance agent and that should end the hard-sell pitch. This is just the beginning of your unfortunate business relationship with this despicable company. Google Public Storage SCAM and you can read thousands of complaints. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere.

My wife rented this space, and i was a bit aprenhensive at first with her getting the best deal for the best size. The office staff was verry helpfull with getting the spot we needed (10x10) and also getting us the best deal a lot less money (go 15 feet to a inside one of there building rather then a drive up unit) also with access from 6:00am to 9:00pm 365 days i cant be happier. its clean, well lite and im not worried if my wife needs to go there buy herself. fully enclosed fence and code enforced entry/exit gate and the lock they offerd i know my stuff will be there. not to mention the cameras that are all over the place. so all in all i am verry happy with Public Storage and Thank You Eric for helping my wife. you made sure she got the best deal possible and that means alot to us.
