Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 8230 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL

Lisa and whoever helped me cut my lock off (sweet woman with dark hair) you guys are awesome. Thank you for helping me in a time of distress and handling my situation with ease.

Although I have been a customer there for more than three years, I have been one of 8 stolen there in an indoor unit form a customer used to rent storage over there he popped out 8 units and didn’t get caught till now and they steal a lot from me the lowest loss was 4 iPhones and didn’t have insurance They need to work there butts in security issues I don’t know what to say about them

Woooow the customer service is THE BEST. Lisa being the most positive and helpful in these unit, as well as Pablo and Shelly. They’re are amazing at there work, it’s always tidy and clean around the area I can’t be more appreciate of them. They have satisfied with all positivity and understanding at any situation around the units. No complaints here! Thank you all so much!!!

I wanted to give feedback regarding my awesome experience at this location. It was my first time here and I’m so busy I was actually very late and had it not been for the guy that helped me, Danny, I don’t think I would have ever been able to get into the facility on time. Danny went above and beyond his call of duty and called ahead of time realized my predicament and made it so I could check in even after his shift had ended. The facility is great. Very clean and clean cavort what i needed. Danny walked me through the process and even got me to my destination safely and not lost. He s er me up on the life saving app and I can’t say enough now this has been a flawless experience even With my issues. This guy is. Good find and I hope you do all you can to keep him around in a failing job force that we all face today. Thanks Danny!!

Other than the price increase a few times over the less than year I've had it I have no complaints. Staff is always nice and helpful

Pros- My belongings were safe. Cons- The staff treat people with a fair measure of disdain. During office hours the bathrooms are regularly found locked. My daughter asked to use the bathroom so I walked her up front and the woman at the desk proceeded to huff, mumble under her breath, and side eye my 8 year old. I apologized for disturbing the rousing game of Candy Crush she was playing. She proceeded to tell me that I was being ugly and disrespectful (I was not pleasant after she pointed her displeasure at my child). On another occasion the same woman came by and while touring prospective customers proceeded to speak about various people who had belongings stored there. She actually was talking about customers and using physical attributes assigning poor character descriptions to each, making the customers believe fat, or brown people were dirty. When I went to talk to someone in the office. Susan was alone. Of course she is.

Professional would be the word that describes the staff. Clean at all times, entry ways are lit. I had my furniture stored for over a year. I only checked once while my personal items were stored here. I would definitely recommend this location.

I've used this storage facility for over 10 years and have ALWAYS had OUTSTANDING customer service. Recently, it got even better!!! I went in to see if I could switch to a smaller unit as my rate has steadily increased over the years. Unfortunately for me, the building was fully rented out of all units...BUT thankfully Susan put in to see if I could have a rate reduction to see if that could help me until a smaller unit could become available. I got the call today that the reduction was approved and I can't begin to express my appreciation!!!

It would be great if they could offer a medium or long-term rental plan that is somewhat more stable in its rental value. It is ridiculous to be attracted by a promotion, for after only 3 months, impose an abusive increase of 30%, otherwise it is a good place, like many others, so if you are in need of climate control temperature for keep your stuff protected FORGET IT, if you espect keep your stuff more then 3 month be ready for be nailed with no les of 30% up.

Reba is AWESOME!!!! She answers all my questions clearly and honestly. I contacted the call center but they confused me on a few things and Reba did an amazing job clearly providing me the right information. She also is very personable !!! Staff is awesome especially Amber. I just wish your property was open 24 hours and not closed at 9pm. Some people work odd hours and can never get to the storage unit until later. Wish there were more carts available to your customers. Public storage in Texas was more convenient than your location. I don’t understand if you have a code why wouldn’t it be 24 hours. Other than that price is good for the unit. I would rent other unit if it was 24 hours.

We had preexisting reservation per our deal, then they offered us a nicer outside storage that we didn't have to climb stairs. It was very clean and quick to unload. The staff was helpful and curtious.

Liz and crystal were amazing! They helped me find the prefect unit. They were very professional and polite. I couldn’t have gotten better customer service. They were able to answer all my questions and get me taken care of in no time at all. I highly recommend using this facility.

Honest opinion they're overpriced and I have an indoor storage space which is creepy. You have to use the elevator and they have no camera's for safety. They charge ridiculous late fees.

FROM DEC 2018: Move out experience was awesome! I walked in off the street with a truck and told Lisa I was moving out. She equipped me with carts from their storage room and had my final bill and cancellation ready for me by the time the truck was loaded. Throughout my two year experience with this Public Storage Facility, I can't emphasize enough the professionalism, courtesy, and helpful spirit of Lisa and her staff (especially Lisa and Enrique). This well led staff is the key reason this is such an excellent location! FROM MAR 2018: This is the best storage facility I've ever used! The facility is clean and well looked after and the staff is incredibly helpful and professional. I live in Land O' Lakes now but use this storage facility largely because of the staff, especially Lisa and Eric. They've helped me time and time again to find simple and cost effective solutions to my storage problems. Corporate needs to give both of these exceptional employees a raise and a bonus! Absolutely FANTASTIC professional employees! FROM JAN 2016: Best experience I've ever had with a storage facility. Lisa and Jamar were very professional and took me through the current pricing options, identified available units, and took me on a tour of the facility. Signing for a unit here was 'turn key', expedient, and without drama - the way a business should run! Absolutely the only place I will rent storage from in the Tampa area.

LoL! Customer service was beyond mediocre. Don't even know where to start. Robert seemed too busy to even care what we were storing, placed customer calls while we were waiting, requested that we filled out as much info on our online reservation so he wouldn'thave much to type I guess. Lisa was even less welcoming, showing us the property seemed like we were bothering her. I really can't put in words how underwhelmed I was with the members of staff. The facility was fairly clean. If it wasn't for a sense of urgency, I would have instantly stored at other competing facilities.

It was great. Lisa and Shirley and everyone else who worked with me were lovely and fun and professional. This was my 2nd experience with Public Storage, and the other was also great. I'm hoping to never do this again, but if I do, Public Storage would be the first option.

I had prepped my reservation online to save time and meet office hours during my lunch break. My move for tonight and tomorrow after work was planned. I arrive learning that I am required to buy insurance AND a lock, separately; no mention of this beforehand. ($11/month for minimum insurance, and $20 for a lock from them, which is outrageous.) I was shown it had to be a small lock and to bring it in during office hours, which I cannot do after work because of when I get off. I then bought at the next door Walmart (hurrying as I was on break from work), showed the Public Storage clerks, and was told it is too small... There is a slim chance I can, by special request, meet someone there after work to arrange this. Though I may have to take another break to exchange the lock. I am livid that, firstly, I even am required to buy insurance and a lock (it is public storage, what am I paying for if they don't include a lock), and secondly, that this information is not provided when setting up a reservation. The clerk herself was nice, but this is quite a disappointment, having to rearrange my move because of this and pay more than I was told. I was as prepared as I could be to PREVENT issues.

I been in the moving business for 30 years and owner of Bayside Moving in Tampa, Fl for 22-years. When I need a A/C unit, I only use the Team at Public Storage on Dale Mabry and Water. Because I know they will treat my customer and myself will respect and with a timely manner. Its very easy for unloading and always neat and clean, and best of all NO BUGS....

Location is great! Personal assistance is also great! Lisa is awesome! She's very easy going, friendly and is ready to help you out and answer any type of questions! She also shows you where you could leave your stuff right away and I'd totally recommend this place!

I have rented from many companies and even public storage, this location should show as an example of how great a company can be. Lisa & Shirley are funny, compassionate, knowledgeable, and really care about the store. These ladies mean business! They are courteous and kind, but give you the facts. I love renting here and feel like it's my 2nd home, they are always a joy to visit. These ladies do it all while somehow keeping the place clean and taken care of!!!

Impressive facility and clean with friendly, responsive and knowledgeable staff. Lisa made our reservation experience easy and she took the time to assure we got the right size unit for our storage needs. She also took the time to walk us through the facility and show us our options. Their fee and insurance charges are also very reasonably priced compared to other storage facilities and have all the storage material needed onsite .

The first great thing to know about this company is that when you go to ANY location, their staff is VERY friendly. If they don't have the perfect storage size etc., they will immediately look for the size, indoor/outdoor that you are looking for at another location. Surprisingly, they have dozens of locations nearby. The size I needed was at the 8230 Dale Mabry location. We are using this as an interim storage till we move into our new home. Haley at the front desk was extremely friendly (on a Monday) from the moment I walked in. She showed me the unit and told me she had a larger unit for less money due to the Memorial Day promotion going on. I got 50% off the unit and got a larger unit. She was very down to earth, knowledgeable and explained EVERYTHING in detail, especially all the paperwork. I was on my way to work and was in and out in about 20 minutes. Amazing. The unit was CLEAN and all are spaced well for easy access. Best experience by far & didn't expect it from a storage company. I can see why their rating is 4.9%, wish other companies were this easy to do business with. Thank you, Charles

We came a few minutes before close and we were helped promptly. They were awesome in explaining all the details and answering my barrage of questions. Security: -24hr camera monitor -Gate code coming and going -Good area-There are cheaper storage facilities but they are usually not in the best areas -Air controlled units with code for entry into building-there are also outside units but we chose the air controlled ones -Good relationship with the police who will patrol the area -No 24hr access which is good-they close at 9pm which is much more secure than people being able to access the facility at all hours. -All the emergency features (smoke/fire alarm) Other features: -Loading trolleys for use everywhere -Bathrooms -Month by month pay-no contract -Plenty of parking -Water fountains Downside: -We saw a big roach and a little roach near our storage unit (no doubt someone bought them from home : ( So I'm not sure about pest control and what they do about that. -The water fountain in building two wasn't working

Great people and great staff! I traveled from Alaska to Tampa Florida and found myself in the presence of perfect customer service. There were 2 people in particular who exemplify not only how to be knowledgeable in your trade but how to be stellar human beings. These people are the wonderful Ms. Lisa and the amazing Matt. They lifted my spirits and turned my entire day around with their truly uplifting attitudes. I will definitely be storing here simply because of them. I wouldn't be surprised if I was there while they were shooting a show of undercover bosses because you simply don't get that kind of genuine kindness anymore from employees across the states. I had a very enjoyable experience at this public storage location. The property is secure and has many video cameras. Climate controlled units are kept cool and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially Lauren.

I had to decide very quickly where to get a storage for some boxes, La Rosa del Monte was on the way to Tampa. I went on line and in minutes I found Public Storage with a great offer for a storage space. I did my application on line and less than an hour latter I had a call from the location. As soon as I got there Ms. Vanessa was ready to finish the paper work and show me the facilities. It was quick and easy. Great Job!

Personnel on site were very helpful and gave complete information on all charges. Megan, the young lady that heped us, was very cordual, professional and thorough. She showed us around the facility, showed us the unit we were interested in, explained our options and helped us decide on what was best for our needs. The property has easy access and is very clean.
