Need more carts and better carts to move items in and out

DONT RENT HERE!!! You will make a reservation online for a specific date for move in and then when you arrive they will inform you they already rented that until out and there is nothing they will do to help the situation and then you will be stuck finding another storage company at the last minute. Horrible business practices and false advertising on thier website.

Omg the absolute WORST public storage I have ever encountered!! It absolutely stats with STACY idk if she's a manager or what not BUT she is the rudest, nastiest, laziest, most incompetent person ever with ZERO customer service skills at all!! I do NOT recommend if I could give negative starts I sure would. I hope someone actually reads this bc STACY is awful and needs more job training or a new job that doesn't involve people..I'm also writing corporate as she is awful!!

Great location for me and convenient hours

It used to be Great, but as they continuously keep raising our monthly rent, we will be leaving soon.

I have been leasing from this location off and on for years meeting Ronald the manager multiple times during this period. From explaining the lease agreement in detail to offering supplies Ronald was always there to assist. The units and overall facility were always clean and well maintained. With Ronald and/or weekend staff always available during office hours. I would recommend that some type of tracking thing like "Air Tags" be added to the loading carts as they were constantly disappearing. With this in mind I had my own dolly to move boxes.

Never have I had any problems whatsoever. Top notch customer service from Ronald. always friendly and willing to help.

Today was our first day when we went into the office to finish the rental paperwork for our new 15x20 storage unit. Chelsea was there to assist us with the paperwork process. She was very professional and helped us to understand all of our options and explained how the prorated billing would affect our initial couple of months renting.

My experience at this location was great. Ronald who is an employee of this facility explained into detail all the information I needed to know while keeping my property in the public storage unit, he even was willing to assist my husband in moving our mattress and futon into our vehicle and helped to tie the mattress down on top of our SUV. I recommend this location to anyone in the Tampa Bay area.

Our monthly rent sky-rocketed, as I'm sure everyone else's did. We had to downsize from a home to a one bedroom apartment. It was terrible. We had to put our entire life into a storage unit. We are still reeling from this. We chose Public Storage because our Uhaul storage place did not have the size unit we needed. Everything at Public Storage was fine, at first. Fairly reasonable price, so-so cleanliness. They do need new wheels on their moving carts, horrible carts, deafening noise when they move. I reported this, multiple times, and the wheels were never fixed. The bathrooms always seemed to be locked too.Today, after only having the unit since February, they decided to raise our rent $78.11/mo. What the heck is that all about and what reason do they have for that? Uhaul never did this to us. Uhaul was spotless. Uhaul had a security system on our exact storage unit and they monitored it 24 hours a day. If I didnt check in before opening our unit an alarm went off. Uhaul had carts in perfect working order. Uhaul never raised our rent more than $15/mo in any given year. Uhaul has unlocked and spotless bathrooms. Uhaul had friendly employees who were always ready to help you out with whatever you needed. I do not get this feeling at Public Storage. I am a disabled veteran. I just got pushed out of my home and, now, Public Storage is going to gouge me too?!?! As soon as we find a different storage place, we are leaving Public Storage. Hopefully Uhaul has the size we need, I would love to rent from them again. I encourage everyone to do the same. Do not rent from these guys. Go somewhere with a better reputation. Read the reviews, we aren't the first people to experience this. I wish we had read all of them before we chose Public Storage. Shame on you Public Storage. Just because you CAN price gouge rent doesn't mean you should. Ya'll need to find Jesus. $191.53/mo to $269.64/mo. That feels like greed to me.

The storage fee keeps increasing!!!! In 5 years it's gone up at least 3x's Want to update..Ronald the manager took my concerns to higher ups and they have now canceled the upcharge.

Big thanks to Ronald and the team as I had to close down my Tampa apartment from NY due to Covid travel restrictions and they were excellent at helping me at every stage.

They were great due to the fact I lost my locker key. Ronald and another lady that was there got the lock cut off and replaced. Thought it was going to cost me a lot of money to get it cut off but they only charged me for the new lock and a very small fee. All said and done 20 bucks. Great place.

I go here 3 times in the day to pay. Opened late. Was locked with no time return sign on the door waited but nothing his car was there. The third time is the usual he takes forever with other customers with no acknowledgment me until hes done. Once I'm up he is very nice polite, but Things at this place need to pick up some make some changes for the customers best interest...

Climate controlled storage was exactly what I expected. Everything was great. Ronald was even nice enough to call and remind me when I was late on payment before late fees kicked in. Only downside is the access gate. You need a code to get in and out, and the only way in is the vehicle gate.

Phyllis is absolutely delightful. She is caring, personable, and very helpful. She was showing me through the facility and one of the automatic doors was squeaky. She thought it was completely unacceptable and it was fixed by the time I came back the next day. Her dedication to what she does daily is absolutely clear and I think she is a total asset to the company. The facility seems clean and nice. The only challenge is the parking situation. It can get a bit tight with more than 2 cars trying to unload into the facility.

Although I had a great experience with Phyllis to obtain my storage unit, I DID NOT have a good experience 2 days after when I went to utilize the unit. There was nothing in my storage unit because I had to purchase a lock. So now that I have done so, I took the time to load up a truck with my personal belongs to put in storage and I come to find out that this location placed a lock on my empty unit “for my security per “Public Storage” policy. Which I CAN understand. But what I DO NOT understand is why I did not get a courtesy call!? I received an email specifically stating “Because your unit is locked in an open position, it is currently unsecured and we are unable to secure it for you. Please come into the property as soon as possible to check your space and to secure your unit with your lock.” No where on that email did it say they were placing a LOCK on my unit! It specifically states that “we are unable to secure it for you” This is absolutely horrible! Now I have a full truck that I can’t unload and have to return and or extend and PAY MORE MONEY!

Second storage facility in Tampa I've CAUGHT boasting climate control yet the a/c is always off. Id sugest consulting an attorney if you currently rent from them. If you choose ANY climate control shed make sure to ask and assert 24 hour climate control. These people need to be held accountable for being dishonest to the public. Maybe even a call to their insurance company.

Ms. Shelly was awesome getting me moved in. Facilities are clean and easily accessible. The fact there is a bathroom on property is a plus especially when having to pick through items in storage to get to needed items. Will definitely be a repeat customer in the future.

No complaints about the actual place. Simply the customer service. My situation I will admit was unique in that I rented the place for over 4 months, PAID, and NEVER used it. Alright, fine, what ever, I am not complaining about paying those months. I am definitely angry that when I get there I tell the lady, Shelley was her name. Don't charge me ANOTHER month please. I don't feel like that's right. I am not even bothering for the past months that I never used the storage unit. Just this one currently, please don't charge me as I have NEVER used the place. She decided to call her manager. Which I think, surely they have cameras to verify I have never used the place. The manager will likely just say, waive the current month and let then leave. Turns out they threaten with sending my name to a "collection agency". Seriously? That was a total D-bag move. Instead of understanding my situation and VERIFY, which by all means they can verify. They chose to threaten me and send my file to a collection agency. That is absurd and absolutely ridiculous. I realize there are a lot of five star reviews and maybe the customer service was just horrendous on this one day but that's what it was. Cheers to whomever gets this far in this review. Cheers!

This is a clean, safe, convenient place for storage. I had a climate controlled small unit. There was never any mold or mildew, bugs, or even dust. The manager Ronald was always there to help and keeps the place in tip top condition. I highly recommend!!

Great location!

We were moving and needed a place to store our furniture, dining room set, etc., so I made an online reservation and the next morning Ron called me to confirm:) Ron has been very helpful with me since I ended up renting three units! two at the West Waters Ave location and one at the West Hillsborough Ave. location. All in all and in a few words I have not had any issues at either Storage Facility and that is absolutely Great!! Ron has been very helpful :) :) :) :) Thank you

I have had a unit here for almost five years. While it may be more expensive than local competitors, the property is always clean, well lit, safe and maintained. I would say it is significantly better than the competitors based on my previous experiences.. Their onsite team, especially Ronald, is very helpful and willing to assist you with any questions you may have. As a bonus, my unit survived one major hurricane and not the least bit of damage or flooding. This is the place to be in the TnC.

This storage facility is very safe, secure, the price for my unit was great, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend you asking for Ronald as he takes his time and explains every question you might have. I will definitely be using this property again if I need to store my things.

Store your belongings and keep them save

The property manager Ronald is very inappropriate and will treat you poorly as soon as he gets you to rent. After 29 days there, I got a voicemail that claimed to be a courtesy call but quickly changed tone to a debt collection call with threats. It was just past noon on the 1st. I had only been in the unit 29 days. When I arrived on the 2nd, day 30, Ronald showed up at my storage unit in the middle of a business transaction to sell the remaining items in my unit. He interrupted, spoke openly about my account and payment in front of the strangers I was bargaining with, then when I stopped him and asked him to wait in the office until I came up after the sale, he ignored my request for privacy and continued to disclose and act strong armed. Rent here if you want your FDCPA rights violated and be treated like a low life scumbag.

I first moved in December 2007 and by the time I left in September 2017 I had 3 storage units. Due to my job I was not able to live on my own and rented from others until moving into my own home. I cannot say enough about Ronald the manager at this property. He was always accessible and willing to help me in any way possible. When I needed the extra 2 storage units he was able to determine what size I needed without looking at what I needed to put in the unit. I rented a 4th storage unit for a couple weeks until a smaller unit was available. Ronald goes above and beyond any manager of any company that I have used. In my company our goal is to treat our employees with dignity and respect and I can say that Ronald goes beyond in these two areas for his customers every day of the week. I was sorry to have to leave him but your company made a mint off of me during my almost 10yrs renting my storage units. Please give Ronald a gold star for his concern and care of his customers. He deserves more but I am not sure what your company can do for him. Cindy Herrman

This place is awesome. It is neat, clean, bright, safe, and run extremely well. I have always felt safe and secure storing my items here, so it is with regret that I must vacate to relocate to Clearwater. Ronald does a spectacular job managing this place. He is friendly, helpful, organized, efficient, and obviously has an eye toward quality. My experience renting at this location has exceeded all my expectations.

If it was up to me I would rate this company with 0 stars. My fiance and I go to this place to rent out a storage unit & they have a sign on the door saying the manager will be back at 12:15pm, so we leave and come back at 12:40pm and the sign is up again saying they'll be back at 1:45pm to me it looks like the employee who's on the clock doesn't want to work today. I'm not exactly sure if this is how it is everyday but we are really disappointed with this company. So we went elsewhere.

Clean facility, very helpful staff, safe keeping of my belongings. Highly recommend if you're looking for that "extra space" you can't find to keep your stuff safe at home.

He looked at the dimensions for the items I was bringing to store and helped me find the right sized unit. Not too small, not too big. I had gone to another property earlier in the day and the guy acted as if I were disturbing him. Not Ronald, he was pleasant, professional and informative. This was a great find.

Very affordable and the staff helpful and also the unit and hallways appear very clean, but the second day I was there I found cockroaches running around the unit as I pulled up the door. Yuck. I put in my own insect control but believe the bugs are rampant.

My experience with this Public Storage location exceeded expectations. We moved from a second floor smaller unit to a first floor larger unit in a very easy and smooth manner. Ronald was great to work with as he kept us posted on available units to move to directly beneath our previous unit and also suggested a company to move us which was very easy to work with, customer focused and a great value. I highly recommend Ronald and this facility in Tampa.
