Maria at the Waipio Gentry location was awesome she was so patient and friendly always with a smile on her face showing us the different units multiple times so we can decide what we really need. She also helped us to set up our account on the app and made us try it out in case we had any questions or ran into any problems. Her customer service skills were awesome and we left satisfied and with a smile on our faces.

Maria is the absolute best!! She is so friendly and helpful. One day I forgot a box of my things outside of my unit. she called to let me know and kept my belongings safe until I could return to get them. Mahalos sooo much!!! It’s like leaving my stuff with family. I highly recommend this place for everyone wanting to store their belongings and not have to worry. Fern and Maria have been very helpful with the units I've had. I've switched units multiple times, and each time, the process was quick. Fern explained to me the details of what would be the best option for me. Maria was very friendly, and even though I had mistakenly left the lock on my old unit, she was kind enough to tell me it was OK and not to worry. Both Fern and Maria work great together as a team and are always happy to answer any questions that you may have. As for the units itself, there are flatbeds that you can use for your convenience. There are more than enough so you don't have to worry. Inside is very clean, which is great! And I believe the 2nd and 3rd floor has AC, so if you're working a sweat, you'll be able to cool down a bit. Another thing is, if you download the public storage app, you can conveniently see your payments and when it's due. And open the gates and elevators through your phone rather than typing in the pass code. All in all, I find this public storage to be in amazing quiet spot, that can run its business really well, and it's mainly because the staff there are very friendly and organized.

Facility is great, clean, and the staff are much more better to work with and very personable. You know that the staff is great when the renters are always saying hi and smiling to the staff, know them by their first name and always coming out with a smile. Maria at Public storage at Wapio Uka location made the transition to this facility worthwhile. I was having issues with another unit at a different location and was ready to just move out, but found a unit that was available at the Wapio Uka St location. Maria was so helpful and awesome during my initial visit to see the unit and she did such an awesome job when it comes to customer service. She showed me around the facility, showed me the correct or exact unit for rent, answered all my questions and even provided me options. Chanda from corporate (yes I had to contact their corporate/ division manager for my issues with one of the facility) helped me with a problem with a previous unit at a different location and it was investigated. Chanda helped me correct the issues and worked with my transition to a new one with Maria at the Wapio Uka St location. And even after all that and the move, and I started renting, Maria would continue to follow up, made sure my unit was secure, and made sure all my needs met and that any other issues were resolved. I am glad that I got to meet them and would recommend this location to anyone. Thank you!

I've been renting a locker for over 15 years the place is good clean friendly service some workers not to friendly. But owell make do prices are little pricey but now days what's not pricey lol check um out Aloha

This is the best public storage location. I have interactions with Maria and Bran and both of these employees are exceptional and very personable. Anytime I was at my storage unit and the employees walked by they always engaged me in a conversation, to make sure I was happy and if there was anything they could do to make things better. I rented a locker from this location from 2019 - 2023, and if I need any more storage I would return to this location no question!

She also went out her way to talk to upper management to see if I could rent a different size storage 3 times without having to pay the one-time admin fee. Increasing parking space price without providing proper notification. I called and they stated I was sent an email. Looking throughout my email and none was found. Mind you, I have 2 TB storage. I just said ok.. parking was $260 something in the beginning then increased to $318 per month. I said ok no problem, then looked at my app and next payment is $365/mo this September... talking about being robbed. They said they will see if they can adjust my rate.. let's see if they do and I might have to change my rating. I'll post an update. Update18Aug21: The Resident Manager called and found a solution. From my understanding, I will be credited and at the meantime they will put me on a waitlist for a smaller parking. She even tried to relocate me for a lower rate. I rated them a two star but changing to 5 since the Staff is so responsive to their customers. BRAVO ZULU.

It was very easy to reserve and pay online. We arrived at the facility soon after and went right in with the access code texted to us. We were able to fill and secure the locker the same day. Though we did all this without interacting with the staff, they called us that day to make sure everything went smoothly and they answered other questions we had. Excellent facility, excellent staff.

Walked into the office and met Lou he located a unit that fit my criteria. Unfortunately they did not have any available. He did find one at a sister property which i will be renting. He is coutreous and efficent.

Wow! This Public Storage location along Waipio Uka is well-deserving of a 5-star rating on customer service alone. Maria and Lou were phenomenal at assisting me in getting an uncovered parking stall for my vehicle. My time there was spent primarily in the main office and the uncovered parking stall area (in between the main storage facility and the perimeter fencing). The office was very clean with working AC, which made the space very comfortable. The sizes of the uncovered parking stall were as-advertised -- I could comfortably fit my Scion xB in the stall with enough space to swing my door open. The storage facility is surrounded by fencing and an automated gate that can be unlocked using the Public Storage app or by manually inputing a code that is provided at the start of the rental period. There are surveillance cameras scattered throughout the area for an added layer of security. A day prior to renting, I wanted to visit the space and get an understanding of how much it would cost. Maria was very accommodating and showed me the available stall. I felt no pressure to rent at that moment, and she informed me of the different ways to reserve/hold the spot if I changed my mind. The morning after my initial visit, I mistakenly reserved a stall at another nearby Public Storage location via the website. Fortunately, Maria and Lou were able to correct my mistake in a matter of minutes. I was able to reserve the stall shortly after! It took less than 30 minutes for the entire process (which included correcting my initial mistake -- sorry again for the trouble, Maria!) Overall, my experience at this Public Storage was fantastic. The main office and facility are great, and the customer service I received from both Maria and Lou were excellent. The process to rent was simple and fast. I highly recommend this location for any of your storage needs.

I needed an upgrade on a larger storage unit and Fern of Public Storage in Waipio Uka gladly accommodated me with one that is more than enough room to store my HHG items in. She was glad to help me and understood the space I needed and time constraints I had. It all worked well but of course the price also was a hike from smaller unit. But I am thankful she got me the storage I needed.

Maria and Lou provided me with service beyond measure. They are very helpful and they actually care about the people and they value helping customers. I would not want to receive help from anyone else other than these two people. They provided top tier care and top tier service and they deserve to be recognized immensely.

I rented a unit at this location for over 5 years. On just about every visit, Maria, the site manager, was there, ready to assist in any way and always with a smile and positive personality. It would surprise me when I'd go there for the 1st time in many months, and she'd still greet me, remembering my name! Even though my unit was on the 3rd floor, I always felt that it was easy to get to. Carts were always readily available, it's nice and cool, and my belongings were very clean when I removed them. I'll come back to this facility for any future storage I might need, even if it won't be the closest one, because of my very positive experience here.

On Site Manager at this location is very good. Flat Bed carts are readily available and in good working condition and the facility is kept clean and fresh. The office staff is very easy to work with and they have a bathroom on site for customers. I've been renting here since 2006 and am very satisfied with the management of the property. Easy 5-stars for this place.

Found a decently priced storage unit immediately on the website. From there, Maria has walked me through the easy to access process of renting the unit online. She was accommodating when I wanted to view the unit before paying. She was able to answer all my questions appropriately and as best as possible. My dad has been a customer at this site for several years and has always gotten help when he had any questions or when he needed to switch units, I needed storage for myself so I decided to come here. Maria helped my dad and I get a bigger unit that we could just share. I have met Maria on several occasions helping my dad move things in and out of his storage. She has always had such a great personality and since there were no other customers at the moment we got to talk story a little bit and got to know each other. I like that she remembers everyone’s names and makes us feel so comfortable with knowing that our personal belongings are in a safe place.

We checked out all 3 locations in Waipio Gentry and the staff at each location was very friendly and helpful. Bryan, Sylvia and Maria was very considerate and made it easier for us to decide. We ended up with a unit at the Waipio Uka Street mainly because it was the closes to our home.

The best Public Storage i ever used and i used a few. Maria is the nicest and so helpful she deserve a raise or bonus.

I got LOCKED IN the facility storage before their digital clock showed 9pm. Called and called and called the property manager # with NO REPONSE. It was not funny. I’m gonna tell everyone what happened and that this facility is UNSAFE. No emergency number to call, button I thought was a call for assistance just showed a message that it was now closed. I was desperate and tried every damn door, short of pulling the fire emergency lever. BAD BAD BAD. Every minute felt like forever. My son started to panic. Luckily a door was not locked and we were able to get out. I was never told about another door and if not for being locked in, I would never had known about it.

Long story short: I reserved a unit via the on-line Labor Day specials, but due to a glitch in their billing system it appeared that I owed $19 from a 2014 rental and thus unable to rent the unit at the discounted price...but Silvia and Maria were able to resolve and remove the erroneous $19 charge AND still honored the Labor Day special reservation! These ladies went the extra mile to clear the problem and then promptly called me back and got everything sorted. Thank you very much ladies for clearing up was becoming a complicated and frustrating situation! Much Mahalos!

The workers are mostly incompetent and NEVER at the front desk. One employee gave my estranged husband access to my unit just because we had the same last night and he took some of my belongings. I later tested the front desk and had my friend go to the front desk as me and claim to forget the code. They did not ask her for proof of identity and just gave her my code!

Maria is fantastic! I spoke with her on the phone a few minutes after I reserved the stall online. She was able to accommodate my schedule changing to come see it multiple times just to come see and make sure my boat fit. They literally held the spot for me for a week to make sure I had a chance to come and measure. She was so helpful once we got there and quickly set up our account and information. She’s friendly, professional and most importantly, not pushy to sell and get you out the door - what more could you ask for!

They were very friendly. Very secure sight, and I loved the climate control. Only complaint was that after several months (maybe 3-4), our rate for the space jumped by about 20%. Not sure if that was just due to a long awaited inflationary change applicable to all units, or if we only had some special introductory rate. If it was a special/temporary intro rate when we started, we certainly weren’t told as much, so the increase was kind of disappointing.

My wife set up a reservation online. Ashley quickly gave us a call to verify everything, which was great! When we got to the storage building, Ashley and the manager Maria were very helpful and friendly, and went through everything needed to access the facility. A very pleasant experience!

Been with this Public storage for years now (month to month now) and for good reason. Maria & Mark Remember my name & are super friendly & helpful. Just like their newest member Lauren. The storage site is clean and easy accessible. My only tip though is if you get a special rate price pre pay as much months to years ahead at that price. Overall the service & price has been a god send. Two Thumbs up here. The rate change / $ change wasn’t as bad as my previous experiences elsewhere. Still a long time member （＾∇＾）

She was thorough and patient when explaining the fees and payments. I gave this place 4-stars only because I haven’t moved my items into my storage unit yet. The Staff here is very nice. I have been at this storage for 13 years. Never had any problems. I finally moved out because I no longer need storage, the move went smoothly as well. If I need storage in the future, I will be back.

Great staff who are very friendly and patient. They are very attentive to the maintenance of their property, even when lazy renters leave any trash they should have taken with them lying about. It is quickly cleaned up. You couldn't ask for a better property manager than Maria.

The place is very clean they do their best to surveillance the area. They also have high Gates to protect the cars that are inside. The place is very lit and there is automatic lights so that you don't need a flashlight while walking through the large Warehouse. Lights are very bright so that it shines inside each storage unit. The customer service is great. Their bathroom is also very clean near the office. There is lots of packing supplies of tape boxes and dividers or other fragile items that can be bought if forgotten to buy at the store.

Sylvia and Mark gave me top notch service. Sylvia was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this one. Ask for Sylvia or John.

HOKU & MARIA are UNBELIEVABLE! I went in to the office today to ask/inquire about my crazy rental increase for my unit. Both of them listened to me, supported me, brainstormed options, and more ... what's the best news? They took initiative to see if I can get some assistance with my rate - AMAZING. I rec'd an email THE SAME DAY saying my rate has been adjusted. WHOA! These ladies are outstanding - and their service? BETTER than 5 stars! THIS is why I stay with this location!

Val and Maria were so helpful and nice. This was a great location for me and my girlfriend. They helped us save money for sure being that I only needed a unit for a month to find an apartment coming back from deployment. We had an issue when we misplaced the keys to one of our locks from a previous storage unit I bought. They were able to check us out nevertheless and just cut the lock as a courtesy so we weren't charged any additional fee past our move out date. Highly recommend this location to anyone!

Been renting here on and off since 2010. Maria and her co-workers have always been friendly, helpful, and efficient. Got me the $1 first month special so for the first 2 months in a climate control facility, I'm paying about $40/month. Dude, please tell me where you can find a deal like that on Oahu and I'll go sign up....if not, then you better come here and check them out. Close to freeway, costco and convenient as heck!

Actually they deserve no stars!! My locker got broken in to nearly a month now and the only notification I got was about my payment that was past due. So yesterday, July30, 2017, I went down to and paid it. I wasn't planning on keeping my storage for another month, so today, July31, 2017, I went down to pack up my things. Only then when I got there, was I informed about my storage being broken in to. To make it worse, this happened on July7, 2017 but the only notification they had was to inform me about my late fees. Now, if this happened almost a month now, why in the world would they make me pay and why not inform me about the theft then. I had a lot of sentimental things that can never be replaced. All I know is that I better get a refund for this past month since nothing was left too store anyway, since they took it all, and also, for not informing me about the burglary when it happened, but instead, make me pay a month when nothing was there.

Maria & Lee were a great help to me for meeting my storage needs. Maria helped to get the best unit to store all of my bulky items, freeing up valuable space in my house. I was shown a large variety of materials to protect all of my stuff. Maria did an excellent job of showing me the location of my unit, properly locking the unit, and using my code to gain access to the facility. Both of these young ladies did an excellent job.

Maria, Sylvia, and Maggie hooked me up! Through a deployment and all my items were kept in a secured AC environment! Conveniently located from my home. Also good for those last minute grabs and forgetful moments when the passwords blank. Go see them better than the one down the road!!

Came in this morning in desperate need of a storage unit. Time is short for me an my funds were limited, but that didn't phase the manager Nancy @ waipio location. She took the time to check each location to see which unit would fit the criteria that needed to be met to help me out. 30min. Later it was signed an sealed. I can't thank u enough Nancy. I will definitely recommend this storage location in the future. Public storage should consider themselves lucky to have such a dedicated an outgoing employee.
