A great place to store items. Kathy the property manager is so helpful and pleasant. There was an issue with the size of the first unit and she actually walked me to the other available ones so I could see inside them. Price is fair. Access is a breeze through their app.

I have had nothing but great service from this location. When I first rented a space 4 years ago, I had no place to park my truck overnight as the movers weren’t able to unload until the next morning. They allowed me to park my truck there which I am forever thankful for. Today, I closed out of one of my units and Catherine was able to stop the auto payment for the unit I vacated so I didn’t have to pay for another month. Thank you!!! It’s a super secure place where I’ve had zero issues.

had the most wonderful experience toady with a. young lady from public storage in uptown. was looking for a storage place to move in my belongings short term and stopped by public storage. was the thoroughly impressed with the service and performance of cathy the young lady that helped. she went above and beyond all my expectations. i cannot state enough good things about her performance. we need more people like this in the workforce. keep at it cathy.

Kathy does a great job there. Just the facility itself has some issues. The garage door or gate doesn't work from time to time. The front elevator was down for months.

Although I haven’t rented a unit at this particular location in years, I occasionally pay my bill here. The manager (her name escapes me) is always professional, courteous and friendly. This location appears to have come a long way since 2008, as there was always a mess in the parking area near the dumpsters, and renters/customers on my floor would often be found sitting around and drinking late in the evening. Great location, and great access....however, they will end up jacking up the rent on you after a few months, while the same sized unit will be about half the new price.

Absolutely outstanding! The location is in a great residential area very convenient to get to when needed. What’s most important to location is the staff! Cathy the manager is amazing. Not only cares for your storage but also cares for the people leasing the storage space. I’m one to be very busy and waits last minute to get to things, Cathy works with you and makes sure to help you stay on top of things avoiding any charges that might come from waiting til the last minute. I highly recommend this location 4430 N Clark to lease for your personal storage. I’ve recently moved to the Wicker park area but am choosing to keep my storage with This location! Love Cathy and love the way she takes care of us!!!!!

Building has an indoor parking lot, which makes loading and unloading (especially during colder months) easier. The staff were especially accommodating and helpful, and I would definitely recommend utilizing this storage unit.

Cathy R was absolutely amazing! She made my unfortunate urgency of needing a Rental Unit a lot easier to deal with. She handled all of my questions with patience and a smile from under her masked face. 1) Several large items of ours were stolen from our locked storage unit. My husband and I reported this to the management - I'm guessing whoever stole our items entered other units as well. If you keep items here (which I don't recommend), I suggest getting insurance. I would not store any keepsakes or anything of emotional/personal value here. 2) The garage door has been broken several times when I have visited allowing anyone to walk in without a code. 3) We are not located on the first floor. The elevator has been broken or extremely slow on more than one occasion. We ended up having to carry items up and down the stairs.

My Mother passed away suddenly. She had a unit at this facility. At a very difficult time in my life including a pandemic. Jackie has went above & beyond to make sure I was informed on what paperwork to fill out. From start to finish & The steps along the way. In helping assist me to gain access to my mother’s belongings. It was a process but Jackie definitely was such a great help in a time where I couldn’t even think straight. I really appreciate her for that and will be forever grateful to her. I now have my Mom’s personal things back with me. Photos & personal things that money could never replace. Thank you Jackie! Jackie really knows her stuff! I came in looking for boxes to prepare for a last minute move. Had no idea what types of moving supplies I needed or how many I would need. She took down a list of items of my belongings that I had to pack up and recommened one of the moving paks. And I cannot say that she does not know what she's talking about. I used every box and supply that came in the pak and it turned out to be everything I needed. If you would have left it up to me to pick out boxes and moving supplies for myself. I would have over/under purchased and bought the wrong sizes. So thank you for making my move so painless!

Tyler was awesome! He was so helpful when we were trying to vacate our unit.Tyler was the answer to many prayers and made a day that could have been horrible into a delight. After leaving our key to the lock at home he called the area manager to come to open it for us. The manager came within an hour. Next we inadvertently locked our keys in the truck and Tyler was so helpful and persistent in getting the doors unlocked for us. And last,, our truck was too small to load all of our stuff, some of which were junk items. Tyler offered to call a friend to haul the rest of the junk away. Thanks again to Tyler and manager Jackie for all of your assistance and for working through all of our issues with such patience and care. We could not have asked for better service.

We only needed a short-term unit; Public Storage was very accommodating, and even had a nice promotion, which really made things quite affordable. Moved from s large storage room to a smaller one. Lea Ann was very helpful and found us one conveniently located across the hall which made our move much easier. She made sure the size was right and checked it out with us before our move.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but when they’re warranted I feel it’s necessary to help not only businesses bring in more loyal customers but also just to share a little love for exceptional staff. Overall my storage unit was clean, rodent/dirt free (ish) could probably use more dusting/cleaning, and they have resources to help you move. (Carts, big walkways etc.) From initial renting to unit move out, Jackie (property manager) was unbelievably helpful, knowledgeable, fast and just kind! Very friendly. And funny. I was only in my storage unit for a few months, and during one of the months I needed help with one of my payments. They let me make payment arrangements to satisfy my term and the move out process was extremely easy. I strongly recommend renting here.

First of all, Darrian is great! I had a great rental experience with him. The space is very spacious, accessible secure and clean. The only issue that I have is with the convoluted pricing. The first month is $1, but I have to pay a $24 administration fee, buy a proprietary lock, purchase mandatory insurance and, since I rented the space at the end of the month, I have to pay the prorated fee and then the next month's rent (which is the next day). I guess that's why they call it a promotional price and put an asterisk next to that statement. That's a corporate thing, not something that this location did wrong. If I ever have to rent storage space again, I'll make sure to do so on the first of the month. Overall, I would highly recommend, just don't expect to the promo price to mean anything.

Jackie is really helpful for new renters! I signed up on the website - it was very easy and the space planning tools were helpful so I could estimate the size locker I needed. Jackie called right away to schedule a tour and confirmation appointment. The building is easy to get to on Clark Street. Jackie showed me around and explained how to access the indoor parking lot and use the loading dock, carts and elevator to get moved in. The building is clean and well-lighted. I'm very happy to have the extra space!

I was looking for some differ size boxes and when I came in they had an assortment of different size boxes cheaper than other places I looked at and the staff worker there named Teresa was very proffessional and helpful helping me getting the boxes and sizes needed.... I'd recommend this location cause of the helpful staff worker and her knowledge of what a customer expects to be treated....

A nice, cool and clean indoor storage. Very safe for all needs! Parking all the time! Great access hours, friendly staff! Always helpful. Encountered a few ladies who were always understanding and eager to help. “Thu” helped me resolve a late charge when I lost my wallet and couldn’t pay on time. The size and everything worked for my needs. Will come back again and again!

This public storage is a joy to have. The staff are welcoming, personable, and very helpful. Theresa has been helping me very attentively and pleasantly, working with me patiently and happily, and calling me personally to let me know if they have a spot open. You wouldn't expect it, but it really feels like a valuable neighborhood place; they're happy to see you and help you and they're always approachable - nothing cold or impersonal or frustratingly bureaucratic about it- just a good spot with good people and good service.

Customer service still exists! Theresa stayed late to help me get a bigger unit than the one I originally rented. And was very nice and funny the whole time. Really don't get service like that anymore!!

I'm moving back to Chicago soon and stopped for information. The facility was very clean and appealing. I met your representative Theresa who was very knowlegable and was able to answer my questions. Great communication and she was very friendly which is always a good experience for a person like me. Depending which apartment I get, I will be using this Clark street storage for the friendliness, location and clean facility.

This company is pure garbage. After you are all moved in they will change your monthly plan and incease your rate. Want to know what the reason the District Manager Curtis Heinz says why? Because we can. Yes. I will be removing my belongings ASAP and never using this company again. What awful customer service!

Yesterday I visited one of their facilities, requesting their services but they refused me for not having a state ID or an American passport. I was not born in the United States of North America but I live here legally. I have rights so I proceeded to offer them my temporary ID because I do not have The permanent and the clerk took me said go outside I felt attacked I felt diminished morally I did not think that I should be an American to request his services

Well I'm very inexperienced with storage places and heard from a friend this public storage was good. So, I came in and Thu help me with all my needs...great first experience.

This location is really small, but awesome public Storage, I felt a very warm welcome when I came in, By Thu & Andy they took care of me wit flying colors. I was curious of applying for position there. And they guide me so sweet of them... If anyone is near Chicago North side in Uptown, this is the public storage to go too! 😄 GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I had some car issues the other day and they both offered to help give me a jump and help me find the closest auto parts store so I could buy another battery. There are beautiful people in this world and apparently they work at public storage on clark st.

I've never had the need for extra storage space until now. Jackie and Tamara were helpful and explained everything to me. They are professional and very knowledgeable of the business. All I can say is that Public Storage should be thanking their lucky stars that someone like Jackie works for their company. Give this girl a raise, because she honestly is the only reason I ended up renting and keeping a unit. She helped rescue a poor experience I had with another employee at a different location, and displayed incredible customer service skills, especially by apologizing for the bad experience I had and showing she valued my business. What I like best though is that she is incredibly honest, and shows she actually wants the customer to end up with the unit that is best for their needs. She's not going to push you into a bigger and more expensive unit, but she's also going to be very honest when she knows you won't be able to fit all your stuff into a smaller unit you are trying to get just because it's cheap. In the end, I have a unit I'm very happy with, and I think it's going to be a great experience thanks to her help!

WOW .. talk about customer service ... Tamara actually helps you ... I expected to have her point in a direction and make me find everything myself .. she actually took me everywhere and showed me what I needed to know .. I was on-tour as a musician for a few years and she'd periodically check to make sure my lock was okay and reassure me that my stuff was fine . . . this is a GREAT Public Storage .. doing a GREAT public service.. reasonable rates too .. and climate controlled YAY ... I recently moved to the area and having to unfortunately downsize to a smaller apartment. I was reluctant to put my things in a storage unit, however the young lady made me feel very comfortable about the facility and insured that my things would be safe. She gave me a tour of the facility, and over all just made me feel comfortable about leaving my things there. She explained the billing and payment options and she basically went above and beyond, which put me at ease. Octavia is really professional and knowledgeable. I recently relocated to CHI-TOWN and was fretting alot about where I would be able to afford to put my things until I am able to find somewhere big enough. I called this location and was able to get assistance from OCTAVIA. OCTAVIA is wonderful and she made me feel so much better about moving 1000 miles away from my family. She was very knowledgeable and very well spoken. I would highly recommend you speak with her to get assistance if your moving to the area.

Octavia was a rock star and pulled 24 hour access permission for me due to extenuating circumstances. The only issue was technical issues with the gate, but she even fielded that issue flawlessly.

I have had a unit here for several years. The building is always clean and Tamara is the best!!! She has gone out of her way on several occasions to help. I have rented at many other storage units and this by far is the best. It is private and secure and the covered gated loading/unloading dock is awesome!

Tiffany was able to get me in and out with no problem and I got everything I needed and felt confident knowing I could return whatever I do not use. This is my favorite facility and by far the most secure. The manager tiffany always greets me with a smile and always helps me with any problem i may have. If you are looking for storage, this is the best location to store at.

The manager lashawn was helpful and very nice. She helped me find a great space at a great price. She also helped me find moving supplies when i didn't have a clue of what to get. "Tip" when renting a space always reserve online they knock the price down. Overall, great service will definitely recommend other.

This was my first time renting storage space. I chose this location because the rates were the best and the location was near. Being a newbie, I figured there may be a few aspects about renting that I was not aware of.Thu was very helpful in explaining all of the different options, services, and fees ($1 first month rent, $22 one-time admin fee, $11 monthly insurance, and $22 one-time fee to purchase their special padlock). I didn't ask, but it's possible that you can bring your own padlock and not need to purchase one. Regarding the insurance, Thu and Tamara were very helpful in providing questions that I could ask my insurance agent to see if I had suitable coverage already. I did that, and found out that I did indeed have appropriate coverage already, and was able to then cancel the $11 monthly policy with no problem. Thu and Tamara were friendly, professional, informative, and efficient. I actually find it fun to rent storage!

This is the second time that my wife and I are using the Public Storage facility at 4430 North Clark Street in Chicago and Tamara has provided excellent service on each occasion. Tamara is very knowledgeable about the services and products offered and has demonstrated great customer service acumen. My family have been very pleased with our rental unit and we know our most valued possessions are safe and secure.

Tiffany was wonderful !!! I went in on Friday to sign my rental agreement but did not have an appointment. It was 15 minutes before closing but she still agreed to put the lease together. She did it expediently, politely and with a great sense of humor. Tiffany was extremely courteous in spite of the last minute pressure I had imposed on her. She is a credit to her organization.

Great storage units ,temp control make it great for winter storage and you park inside to load and unload ,no messing with bad weather . Staff is always around if you have any concerns.

She even offered a better storage space for our needs that was less expensive. She is very dedicated to seeing your storage needs are taken care of to the fullest extent possible.

Public Storage is lucky to have someone like Martin A. Working for them. He is one of the few people who actually care about my needs. He is big and Strong and his big arms carried my boxes to my car... That is what I call great service.

I needed storage for 1 month and i needed it booked within 24 hrs. Martin A. was absolutely fantastic! he got me what i needed, took me upstairs to view the unit to make sure it would fit my stuff, reminded me of the $1 first month special that I knew nothing about and got me signed up in like 10 mins! I was new to public storage, when I first came here, I did not know what I wanted. However, one of the workers Martin welcome me with great service. He gave me suggestion on which storage would meet my need and assist me the whole time while I was picking out packing supplies. I was very satisfied with the service provided and I would definitely recommend this place because of the helpfulness and warm welcome that I received from Martin.
