Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 6460 N Lincoln Ave, Lincolnwood, IL

I have been to this facility a dozen times now. When I first came in they were still in the process of opening. I had very little time to find a storage Jim has been beyond helpful!! Today he was walking around cleaning the facility.

After 6 months they raised my rent by over 35%. The elevator is not working. Only few Carts are available. They didn't bother to tell me this when I rented the unit, I tried asking at the office why they increased my rent thye dont want to clarify and just said we will inform 30 days before and can increase the rent in any month as they have month to month lease. There are no maps or arrows or anything showing which numbers are where. You just have to wander around and try to find it.

Sarita, helps us and explained everything and show us the storage. And explained the details about the rent. She is great personality and very helpful for us.

After 6 months they raised my rent by over 35%. The elevator has been broken for months. Carts are only available when the office is open. They didn't bother to tell me this when I rented the unit, I found out when I showed up to load it and couldn't do so because I couldn't get a cart. I had to pay an extra day on the moving truck. They didn't have anything showing me where my storage unit was at. There are no maps or arrows or anything showing which numbers are where. You just have to wander around and try to find it. They use a month-to-month lease so they can raise your rent as often as they want, they just have to give you 30 days notice. Don't fall for their teaser rates!

every 6 months they increase my rent by $100. I started with $200 per month, now I have to pay $400 per month, I am taking my business elsewhere. they're a joke.

She answered each question, invited me to come in to check the lockers out, and helped me find the best price and size for my needs. She went above and beyond by calling me after my visit to make sure I was able to finish my online booking and to make sure I was able to download the app for added convenience (I was having a little difficulty with the online booking). This place is way too big to not have more than 3 carts. There are no directions inside and it is very easy to wander almost aimlessly looking for your unit.

The person in the office, Nicole was extremely helpful. She and I had a wonderful and exciting conversation while she processed my tansaction. She treated me with utmost respect and never showed what most stressed retail workers do, sarcasm and frustration..none of those. She gladly showed me my space even though I knew what it looked like as I already had one existing space in her location. The space was very clean as well, although I just didn't like the rental tax fee that the village of Lincolnwood had imposed. Overall, I liked the service she and Public Storage showed. I will always consider them to be my #1 choice for my storage needs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We recently closed out our storage unit at this location, but it was only because we were looking for a unit that was closer to us, and we were also merging together a couple of different units. This has been a great storage place, especially since Tyler took over the management of it. He's always helpful, the place has seen some improved security while he's been there, and anything that needs fixing gets taken care of quickly.

Tyler and Christopher have been wonderful each time I've spoken with either of them. They are an absolute asset to your company. They have been very helpful and considerate always. Good job guys!!!

I recently came in for a storage transfer and the process couldn’t have gone any smoother. Tyler was such a great help, very nice guy, and is very knowledgeable. He was able to show us the available 10 by 10 room and we loved it. Once we got all the paper work situated we got to work. Awesome staff and awesome place.

There was confusion about my move out. I had never moved in, but had been paying a monthly rent. No issue there. I had canceled the unit on 1/9/22. I received an email on 2/3/22 saying I should pay now to avoid a late fee, even though I had already submitted my move out request and had never been to the unit. I called customer care to explain this and was met with a very rude and argumentative woman, who told me that I had to have put a lock on the unit, and that was why I had received that email. I stressed to her that I had never been to the unit, ever… and she implied I was lying. She continued to tell me that I must be forgetting that I put a lock on it. Again, never even purchased a lock or been to the unit. She eventually transferred me to the building where my unit was. I spoke with Tyler, who was a 180° difference from her. He was friendly and helpful, and validated the story I had told customer service. He escalated my billing dispute and handled the matter in less than 24 hours, and I was not charged a late fee. Thank you, Tyler!

As a truck driver, I’ve lived all over and have used a lot of different storage facilities, but this one takes the cake. The worker Tyler was not only super friendly, but also extremely helpful, as he went out of his way to assist. I appreciated that greatly.

Location is convenient as near intersection on W Devon and N Lincoln. There are multiple entrances so easy to get to your storage. Kept clean. Manager there, Tyler is very nice and helpful and by looks of the place does a great job.

The folks at Public Storage were immensely helpful and professional. First i was at the Howard Location where Isaac was great - and helped us find a unit at another location because I needed a bigger size than he had available. Then Adrian was super awesome when we arrived at the Lincolnwood facility. I even had to come back a day later to switch to a larger unit there. No problemo. Everything went like clockwork. They know their business at Public Storage.

Great place for storage. I've been using this particular Public Storage for almost 18 months and Tyler has helped me from the beginning. One time, my "autopay" got messed up and he took the time to call me and inform me about it.

When I first rented here the young lady who I thought was the manager was amazing and had excellent customer service. Came in yesterday and the man who was working named Darrian was rude, disrespectful, and all around unpleasant. 3 months after moving in they raised the rent. 6 months later they raised again. After that they raised it 2 more times. What was $66 initially, turned out to be $113. Do yourself some good and find yourself another storage.

I have stored at this Public Storage location for years and I have been impressed with their customer service. I would prefer 24hr access, but I appreciate the security measures they have implemented.

Worse experience ever. The associates are rude and they come up with fees that don't make any sense. They will tell you it's 30 or 40 $ at the beginning but then they will keep adding fees you end up paying 70 or 80 bucks for 5×5 storage. Associates not there all the time so you will have to wait 20 or 30 minutes if you have a question. And they are really rude they need to learn some customer service. Never never again!

I currently own a unit here, that was broken into and demolished along with 34 other units just these past 4 months. The Lincolnwood police department informed about the over 35 break-ins within the few month. I spoke to john the district manager of p.s. who was very unhelpful. The Lincolnwood police department is in the process of getting a subpoena for their video surveillance tapes, because public storage doesn't want to cooperate. Big cover up cover, many belive it's an inside job.

About 2 weeks ago I went into the facility at 5 minutes til 5 on Sunday. I had a bucketload of things to do: I was renting on behalf my sister, it had to go through a power of attorney, and there were complications with my account. Jackie could not have been more professional and quieting. She knew exactly what to do with the POA, she sorted out the complications with my account in about 5 minutes, and there was no trace in her demeanor that it was 5 minutes before she would get off from a presumably longer day. Jackie rocks! Please give her a raise. :)

I have been a customer here for a little under two years. The staff has always been more then helpful. Erica (manager) is one of the few workers today that brings her great attitude and smile to work. Although prices have increased substantially over the past year and a half (about 40%), which had me considering moving to another storage facility, Erica's great attitude has changed my mind for the time being. As for the facility, it is in a pretty busy location and security does not appear to be a issue. I always feel safe when going to my storage unit. Update 3/1/2016: Unfortunately, another price increase (without notice) has forced me to reconsider my space here. Will be looking for a new storage space this spring.

Erica and Thu were extremely helpful when I first visited their facility as I was shopping around for my storage needs. On my check-in day, I was running extremely late, but Thu began processing my paperwork over the phone so that they could accommodate me before their closing time. When I checked out, Erica and Fred were professional, personable, and they treated me like a valued customer. The facility was clean, well-lit, and secure, but the staff deserves the five-star rating.

Just stopped in to inquire about pricing on storage units and Thu was able to answer all my questions. After showing me a few units she recommended that I use a mattress bag that really did save me money cause it kept my mattress clean. I came in to just by boxes and some wrap, Kyle was extremely helpful and very upbeat. Took care of any questions I had and appreciated his time when I really only bought a few things.

First rate. My first time renting and I was very impressed with the facility. Office area was organized and clean. The storage area was clean, halls were uncluttered and well lit. Plenty of parking and Erica was waiting for me with a smile. She explained the rental policies and procedures clearly. Explained that insurance had to be purchased and why. She guided me to my reserved locker, and showed me how to open and closed the unit and then waited patiently while I repeated the process. In all, she was efficient and knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and gave me some good advice (lost keys, closest entry way to my unit, etc.). I was very impressed with her and could see she had great customer service training. One of the reasons I chose this facility is because it is near my home so I could walk to it if necessary and now the staff. The whole process was completed within an hour. I left with all my copies of signed documents and good feelings. Thank you Erica for making my day.

I stopped by this location to pay my mother's storage bill. And I noticed Tiffany was deal with such a rude customer whom storage rent increased. She remained calm and tried her best to assist the guy. But he told her she was no help at all and wanted the number to customer service. I felt bad for her because she was doing your job and that guy wanted things his way. But when Tiffany helped me out she was so sweet and kind like nothing ever happened. Now that's good customer service.

I have just arranged for a storage space at the Lincoln Ave. location in Lincolnwood IL. Erica, the manager, was friendly and very helpful. Her pleasant personality and knowledge of the storage business made my first foray into the public storage arena a very positive one.

Public Storage is a client driven company, that means customer service is of utmost importance. Recently, I needed to obtain an item from the locker I rent and while there I paid the rent due, rather than on line. The young woman, Erica, was professional, friendly and provided answers to questions with a smile and a genuine demeanor to be of assistance. Erica would be an excellent Customer Service training instructor. If I could change anything about this storage facility it would be the hours. Perhaps, 7am to 11p.

I went in this Public Storage location wanting to get information about a storage unit. I was very pleased by the service I received from Ms. Lashawn. She was very courteous, professional and told me the information I needed to know. I really enjoyed her service so much that I will recommend my friends to come get storage units because of the great service .

My overall experience with this storage facility located in Lincoln Av. has been very good so far. I just rented a space there a couple of weeks ago so I can't make a long-term review but my son has stored his belongings there for one year with absolutely no issues. Erica and Casey were super nice explaining all the details of the (rather lengthy) contract. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The place looks clean and well maintained and everything seems to be in good working order.

I have used several storage facilities of different companies over the years. I have been a Public Storage customer since 2002 at various locations. This is my favorite of all the Public Storage locations I have used. The staff is courteous, efficient, and very helpful, especially Erica and Diane. I also like the extended access hours of this facility as well as how clean and neat the premises are kept. Although this facility is part of a national chain, the staff here makes me feel more like I'm dealing with a local neighborhood business that knows me.

I would like to commend Diane, who has been an outstanding employee and a great representative of Public Storage. She has been helpful processing my monthly payments not only in person which I do, but also reminding me of time due. she has helped me procure storage lockers in close proximity of each other, which I have three, also has called me to inform of important events such as the roof collapse this past winter. I arrived the same day as I was informed. this saved a great of time as I was able to check my belongings immediately. she is a very dedicated worker who not only provides the renter with confidence of the facility, she also is very personable individual who makes you feel at home at Public storage.
