The cost of this 5’x4’ gloried closet has increased a couple times ea year and is up to a whopping $66/mo for a tiny space with limited access hours is nuts!!! Thankfully all the carts are no longer locked up—you used to have to go to the office to sign one out every time you needed one.

I just had to share my experience with the internet! This young man D'Andrea went above and beyond! My furniture got delivered at the wrong place at the Kent Ave location, I was past upset. He stayed cool, I went and got a Uhaul and this young man help load it and take it off to put it in the right location at there facility! Something he didn't have to do. He's an amazing young man. I take it back on its no hope for the future, maybe there is!!! Came back in to this storage facility and the same amazing service by a young man name Mac! Great place 5 stars for me!

After 4 years in Doha Qatar it was great to come back to my stuff just as I left it in an smoothly accessible and well secured location, clean and well lit too. I was very pleased with the personable and competent help I received from Mac in clarifying procedures for checking out, and for his readily volunteered help with loading my car with the packing materials I bought from the kiosk out front. Plus it is always good to come home to Catonsville 🙂 However… The online PS experience over the four years started out well, but in recent months auto pay ceased working (for no reason, as the associated credit cards were all up to date). This problem continues now even though I’m back in the USA, if not Catonsville. There should be an online rep who can be communicated with directly and who can do more than advise me to check with the bank!

I'm very pleased overall. My only complaint would be that I did not receive a prorated amount back from the larger unit that I terminated today.

MICEEEEE!!! I moved here from out of state and chose this place to store my things until I closed on my house based on the reviews. My experience has been horrible from the rodents, customer service, to just after 3 months they upcharged me 30 dollars.($173 to $204 just for mice poop to be on my things) When brought to management attention about rodent problem they caught an attitude like it was their things. The following month it was an up charge on my bill after that conversation.

Rob is very accommodating and really patient as well. He makes sure all the tenants are safe and they now have this APP that lets me open the gate for entry while in my vehicle instead of getting out using my gate code. I can still get into my space after the office is closed. That is useful. I really like this location and would highly recommend.

I called the storage unit and spoke to Rob at the Kent Ave in Catonsville office because it was a little daunting to make sure I reserved the correct size storage unit and at the best price. Rob talked me through the size options and based on my furniture, he suggested what unit would best fit my needs. He also offered suggestions to help me save money on my monthly payments and shared some specials that were being offered online. That was a huge plus that he was actually assisting me and not just trying to make the sale. I came in the following day to sign the paperwork (from a safe distance) on the new unit and he also told me about the Public Storage app to make auto payments and alerts easier. The app allows you to open and close the gate from your car so you no longer have to exit your car to punch in a code (this was extremely convenient and worked very well)! Rob ensured all my questions were answered and also made sure he scheduled an appointment where I was the only other person in the office at that time so there were no COVID concerns. Smelled freshly cleaned and wiped down inside as well. Call Rob to get the best deal!

Do not rent here. The facility is not clean, you have to utilize a code each time you use the elevator (that makes moving in really fun) and the dollies are locked which means driving to office to get a key. The changes made probably improve the company's bottom line, unfortunately it's to the detriment of the customer.

Excellent customer service!!!

The location is convenient to I-695. However, the facilities are run down and there is a lack of concern by management on security. The gate to the parking lot has been broken for over three months now. There have been times when the front doors have been propped open because the electronic locks are not working. The elevator is slow and old, and the inspection certificate expired in December 2018. There are rarely any carts in the facility. The store is a couple blocks away so there is no at the site so having the gate wide open doesn't give me any feeling of security. Prices go up after your first month. Management claims the only thing you are paying for is your storage unit and not locked doors or gates. Excuses about how it will cost $30,000 to fix the gate is why they refuse to fix their maintenance problems. I really don't care if it costs a million dollars to fix the gate, that's not my problem. I signed up for services with a locked gate, functional doors, climate control, and polite service, not excuses. Calls to regional management have not been returned, nor has executive offices returned any calls. Manager said he didn't want any ratings less than five stars then argued with me and hung up the phone. Bottom line is if your padlock is enough security for you then this is an alright place to store your things. If you expect layers of security and polite customers service, don't sign until the gate is fixed and working.

I was astonished by the great service I got from Rob (Manager) and the staff. I had some troubles, but they were not the fault of Public Storage. The Team walked me through the steps, gave me many options and did something foreign in the service industry today...the helped me. I felt like they were bending over backwards to make sure I was getting the best of what could be considered a bad situation, with honesty, understanding and excellent professionalism. If I ever needed to store anything again, I'd go back there. Much recommended!!!

The security at this location is terrible. The vehicle gate was wide open about 50% of the times I went to my unit. The front door of the storage building was jammed open for months. When I finally moved out, the main elevator was broken so the doors were left unsecured for people to use a second elevator. On top of that, after about 6 months my rate was increased 20%. In the future, I will look elsewhere.

Easy access, very clean, works with pin code to get in the main gate and to use the elevator. On the downside there are not many hand trucks available as reportedly people keep them in their unit. Should be a way to track these. Other than that it is right off the 40 and 695 easy access and convenient.

Storage bill to high.

Not even worth 1 start, customer service is beyond poor, any requests takes longer than a month to accommodate. They act like they are doing you a favor by renting space. Staff is never helpful. I paid al my bills on time and was unable to access my storage for a month and they did not offer any billing credit and started making excuses that only 1 property manager is unable to address requests. 1 property manager who visits the site once every 3 months. Forget about it. would not recommend. The have doubled their rates as well. Not worth it!!!

Nicky and Brittany were awesome with my move in it was such a team effort and they were both so knowledgeable I recommend everyone to go here and see these adorable girls in action. This day in age it's very hard to come by good customer service but I definitely found it with Nikki and Britney at Public Storage

I would have given more stars, but I had 2 complaints. First complaint: I went online and reserved a unit on the ground floor. I received a phone call from a young lady confirming my reservation details, so I was under the impression that everything was fine. When we arrived at the facility the unit that I reserved wasn't available. Shocker! They had a unit of the same size available, a little cheaper in price, but it was on the second floor. I DID NOT want a unit on the second floor, because I DID NOT want the hassle of going up and down, up and down on an elevator, considering the amount of stuff we were moving. Their elevator is slow as hell, and there were other people moving at the same time, also using this slow-as-molasses elevator. It was extremely frustrating. Second complaint: When I spoke with the young lady over the phone, I verified the amount that I needed to pay upon move-in so that there would be no surprises on my moving day. The guy that helped me at the facility with finalizing my contract/paperwork lied to me about the fees. When it came time to pay, he told me that I was REQUIRED to also pay for Insurance, in case anything happened to my belongings. I agree 100% that having the insurance is a very smart investment, and I think the cheapest policy they had was only $11, but I didn't want it at the time, as all the cash I had with me was for the amount that I was told I needed to move in. He kept insisting that I couldn't pay it another day, that it HAD to be paid to move-in. While he's telling me this, I'm reading over the contract, and I notice about halfway through it says that the insurance IS NOT A REQUIREMENT. Maybe they aren't used to people actually reading before signing, maybe they get a commission for selling extras, maybe the company is pushing them to sell these insurance policies, I don't know but I don't sign ANYTHING without reading first! So I said, "It says right here that the insurance isn't a requirement". The guy says, "Okay" and removes the charge. At this point, I'm just ready to pay and go... especially since now I have the daunting task of having to move all of my furniture into a second floor unit!!!

The staff was very kind and they had what we needed, but their packing stuff is quite pricey compared to other businesses of this sort.

Great place to store stuff, staff was very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to get me a handcart when all the flatbeds were taken which saved me from carrying everything in by hand. Thanks again!!

Thanks a lot Keith. You helped me out with protecting my belongings; It was really convenient and affordable. When l walked in I noticed that there were only 3 carts but it’s fine I’m able to work around that. The access hours fit around my work schedule. I didn’t have to try to rush the process, you understood my needs and made sure I was felt secure in my unit and I understood the rental agreement before I left. Thank you.

The property was spot on; bathrooms where decent , floors where shining and he space fits my needs. They were both very friendly and alert when I entered the facility. They made my move in a breeze and I would highly recommend everyone to come and visit these two amazing people.

...very sloppy management...the gate door is always broken. Sometimes they leave the gate door open for anyone to come onto property...management was informed and this has been a on going problem for over 2mths...glad im done with this location next month

She was always interested in what I wanted and would quickly provide me with suggestions to make my efforts effective and even quickly suggested products on hand to assist my goals. Charles gives excellent customer service!!!

I've had a unit at this Public Storage location for several months now and have always experienced excellent customer service from the start. However, Keith went above and beyond yesterday when someone had rammed into my unit and damaged the door latch and surrounding framing, thus making it impossible to open my door without tools and re-bending the steel. Keith worked diligently trying to find creative solutions to fixing the door and freaking for at least an hour and stayed until the job was 100% complete. He did an amazing job in solving the problem and developing creative solutions. Excellent customer service! Thanks, Keith!

Charles, was very courteous and knowledgeable. He made sure I had all the information regarding my unit along with the payment details . It's nice receiving good customer service.

My experience at Public Storage at Security and Catonsville was very professional. The staff was very helpful, pleasant and patient. I rented a few storages and haven't had any problems. I'm very satisfied and would recommend Public Storage to another person.

Keith, the property manager who assisted me, was very pleasant and helpful.

No cart or other services after 4:30 pm is available .Every body needs to have this services after business hours. We have to carry out or in our heavy goods by shoulder!!!

This particular site has the most helpful staff. They are very willing to assist. I tip my hat and give my appreciation to the manager Keith. He has the most patient demeanor when being asked a multitude of questions. I come to the site to pay my bill in store and I notice everyone gets the same attention. This gentleman really knows customer service. I had questions regarding a rental increase which I just couldn't understand. I questioned having to keep the insurance which he made me understand was required. After the explanation he advised me of another option,to contact my insurance company to see if there is a clause for coverage of a rental unit. PERFECT!!!! He didn't let me leave unhappy and with an option that may benefit me. I really appreciate him. I was addressed and treated like I mattered. Thank you Keith

The worst. Had a fire and still have not seen our belonging. Our business took a $ 10,000 -20,000 hit because we could not do a wedding show we were contracted to do. Every time we called we could not get into the facility. Ended up getting an attorney involved. You do not have to buy their insurance. Use your homeowners or renters policy. They were recently sued in Florida over selling insurance.

it took them 4 DAYS to call me to let me knowthat the fire sprinklers had gone off and flooded my storage unit. Why did it take that long and they could not give me any info over the phone - we live out of town. The unit started out reasonably priced and now exceeds MOST other units within a 10 mile radius by more than $50/month - that is $600/year. Corporate never calls back - have requested a reduction in my monthly rent each month for the last 6 months. They told me that the insurance was required - Insurance was optional - and they didnt' give me a choice of levels either - they signed me up for the lowest level of insurance. there are rats there - you can see the traps in the halls and outside. It wasn't this way when we started storing things here - the first time was in 2005. Very disappointed in this storage unit - and if I could afford to move my things, I would.

From the initial phone call to customer service, to the actual reps at the location, my experience was awesome. Tamekia and the other staff members were very friendly and courteous. They helped other customers in a very friendly manner while they were processing my paperwork as well. I was very pleased to receive such excellent customer service.

Timekia was very helpful in getting me set up with my storage unit. Everything went pretty quickly, and I had no problems in moving in my things. Timekia even drove me back to my storage unit after already giving me my keys and paperwork which was a huge help.

I stored my entire life in Public Storage while purchasing my first home. It took more than 6 months to finalize the sale of the home. I was worried about having my belonging stored for such a long time. This week I moved into my home and went to pick up my things. I had (2) units, one larger than the other. It just so happened that the HVAC unit was over the small unit and leaked into and damaged some of my belongings. I immediately reported this to the office. Keith, the new manager, dropped everything to go over to look at the unit with me. He quickly reported the damage, gave me the information to contact the insurance company ( I did buy the insurance) (whew!) and took pictures and even helped me dispose the damaged property, wasn't much. Anyway, I called the insurance company, I was taken back at how pleasant they were, how concerned Keith was and how the staff showed genuine concern. The larger unit was in perfect condition..... I was able to get my things moved to their new home. I can't be happier at how everything was handled. Oh, by the way, they even pro-rated my last payment instead of charging for the full month when I stated it would be at least a week into the next month before picking up my things. Great Company, Great People, Great Service!!! Please go to public storage in Catonsville if you want responsible caring humans~

Shannon, Erica and Keith were very helpful. Keith was obviously the veteran. He asked me just a few questions and then was able to create a products selection that fit the bill. That was a tremendous help. I'm going to use their facility to store my products.
