About Eden Prairie

Eden Prairie is a small city located along the northern banks of the Minnesota River, just 12 miles away from downtown Minneapolis. Since 2006, Eden Prairie has consistently been named one of the country's "Best Places to Live" by Money magazine, earning the honor year after year. With more than 35 parks, seven historical sites and 15 conservation areas, the community offers many opportunities to enjoy and explore.

Jobs are plentiful, because Eden Prairie houses more than 2,000 businesses. Digital River, Super Valu and MTS Systems Corp.are all headquartered in the city. Eden Prairie schools are highly-rated, including traditional campuses as well as one Spanish immersion school. The International School of Minnesota is the primary private school in the Eden Prairie area, offering a college prep campus for preschool through grade 12.

There are also two colleges in the city: Hennepin Technical College and the smaller IT Technical Institute.
