Good location just off of 70/Glenwood. Really wish I had basement or a barn but just can't have that stuff in the Raleigh area, guess that is why there is public storage locations like this one. If you have any issues, I recommend you talk to Melissa, and she will help you out.

I used the 6921 Glenwood Ave Public Storage from Dec. 2020 to Sept. 2021 to store my apartment items. Overall the business sufficiently provided me the service I needed. I'll note that the customer service was generally hit-or-miss. There were some instances when associates were very helpful, and other instances when associates seemed to lack the product knowledge to effectively serve me.

I had a unit here and recently moved out. Upon emptying my storage unit I notified the front office that I was cancelling my unit reservation. The following month they charged my card anyways. I have called multiple times and left numerous voicemails and no one has called me back. I emailed customer service and they were unhelpful as well. I still have not been able to get anyone on the phone after two weeks of calling and emailing.

I need to store some furniture and the manager, BiBi, was terrific. She showed me just what I needed and was very helpful. I’m glad I chose this facility!

I moved out because after paying for five years of "air conditioned unit" my refrigerator, shoes, and other items were full of molds. I was forced to dump a $1200 fridge, $800 in shoes, and $600 on other items, was a terrible mistake to store my items in this storage.

Be careful. I see a lot of good reviews so I’m sure they can have good days. I called to cancel my storage room a week before billed to make sure I wasn’t billed. It was my first time so I asked how the procedure went to ensure I wasn’t billed. The rep on the phone caught an attitude when I asked if she was sure all I had to do was remove lock and empty room. Come the 3rd of the next month I still get charged after doing as I was told before the month turned over. I call to ask why I was billed. This rep apologizes and pushes me to customer service for a refund. Customer service tells me “they haven’t even closed your account I can’t refund you”. By this point I’m a little upset. I mean she just had my account up why didn’t she see that before transferring me. So then I spend the next TWO DAYS trying to get someone on the phone here. After 2 days of non stop calling finally someone answers. I explain that they never closed the account and I can’t get a refund. The rep acts like she doesn’t believe me so luckily the last customer service guy I spoke with told me to tell them to check the last time I used my gate code as proof I moved out on time. The rep says ok I’ll check and call you back. I THEN HAD TO CALL HER BACK to be told that everything was gonna be ok and she’s sure I’ll get refunded 😐. Took me for a wild ride.

Storage unit got flooded because of air conditioner.

Bibi helped me to get transferred to a new unit after the AC system flooded my unit and sent me back upstairs so I could clean out my things that didnt get ruined. She said she would be right up to open the new unit for me THEN LEFT THE BUILDING AND LOCKED THE DOORS

Very clean facility and Jarrett and Shawana were very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped us find the best size for our storage. I’m giving 4 stars because lots of products were pushed during the process of our tour and signing up. They also require you to purchase insurance so watch for all the additional fees, it’s adds up real quick!

I had the privilege of working with Jarrett. Even before I entered the store he displayed an element of courteousness seldom seen today. I was informed there were a lot of appointments scheduled at once (mine included) so Jarrett, with much consideration, reached out well in advance to explain the situation and offered alternatives so that I wouldn't have to wait while he serviced the other customers. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very personable and knowledgeable employee, Jarrett. The entire process of touring the facility, completing the paperwork as well as move-in were painless and pleasant. Great experience, I will be using this business in the future

Destinee was very helpful and polite. She showed me a couple ready to move into 10x20's and let me choose. The property looks clean and well-run. I would give it 5 stars, but I haven't moved in yet, so time will tell.

I met with Antonio and Kendra and they were incredibly helpful. Both of them were so knowledgeable and responsive. I have multiple 5x10 units and I am looking to get a 10x20 instead. They told me the rates and that they would personally call my cell when one of these climate controlled units opened up. I highly recommend this facility and staff!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Beware these grifters. The promotional rates they lure you with are lies. Six months into the contract they start tacking on bogus "maintenance fees" and other items. Also undisclosed until you're signing papers is a requirement to buy a lock and carry insurance on the property. Don't know Jarrett; I'm sure he's a nice guy. But do not trust this company to honor their agreement unless you have an army of lawyers to read the fine print.

Jarrett, was an incredible help! He was thorough in his explanation of the services available, use the storage facilities and guidance in choosing the right storage unit size. After his explanation, I went for a larger unit and I am glad that I did. The facility feels very safe and clean. My only additional comment would be the opportunity to have the restrooms open after hours, for those of who made need them and do not want to leave the property while loading or unloading. All in all, I would recommend them again and again.

This was my first time doing storagr for a quick move and Kendra was on top of it. She contact me to set up a date and time for me to move in. She was very professional, down to earth and made my first time experience GREAT. Was surprised by the rate that was given to me it was very misleading but Kendra made me comfortable to stay.

I like the option of outside or inside units plus no contract required, simply month to month. Online reservation system is a plus but be warned it does not guarantee the type of unit you’ve requested. Very clean and the staff, especially Shaniqua, were very friendly and helpful.

Public Storage is the place to store your valuable items. When you think of Customer Service you think what will I get from this business because many places is just not very friendly. I hhd the most incredible person ever to go above and beyond tonight to make sure all my needs were met. Empathy was shown and that's what customers need at times. No friendly welcome by Stephanie, who was working at the front desk. Stephanie was not patient to allow the customer to state the reason for coming into the business. She appeared to be on high stress level because she was training people in two different location. I came in person versus to call her back for confirmation and she was upset I didn't call her back. I was going to tell her I am here in person to check on the date I reserved but all she could is to be mad at is why I didn't call her back. Was she just venting her problems all on me??? She was terribly not helpful. She did not genuinely have good customer service. I think she needs a vacation. My husband and I will not return to Belmont Public Storage because of poor customer service we received today.

The young man at the store was new to his work (3 weeks) but he was EXCELLENT! His helping attitude and pleasant attention to assisting me lead me to suggest to Public Storage that he be cloned and spread among other, less well rated properties. He is a big reason I'll come back.

I have never been with a company that raises its rates so often! I won’t use them again or suggest them to anyone. They get you in on a low rate and then spike it up. The people at work at this place on the rare times I have seen them are very nice. It is the company I don’t like!

My husband and I had just moved here after driving 10 hours and realized we couldn't get most of our furniture into our 2nd story apartment. In a panic I called this location 20 minutes til closing and he answered my questions about what I would need and even took the time to get me set up, staying 15 minutes after closing just to help us out. First-class act. I'm so grateful even a week later. Unit was clean and no issues yet. There is a monthly insurance you have to get that's $11-15, which stinks, but I would expect that anywhere.

Jarrett did an outstanding job of getting me checked in. He made sure the storage room was the right size I needed, as well as whether I had all of the supplies I would need for storage, i.e., boxes, wrapping supplies, etc. The building is immaculate, well-lit and well-protected, and conveniently located. I give this Public Storage my highest recommendation.

Well I just recently rented a unit about two weeks ago. I just called back to see if there were any bigger units available and the price.. Jared was very rude and was helpful at all.. when I asked about the bigger unit he told me to call back on Friday and maybe there would be one.. so I then asked if he could make a note in the computer to contact me if and when one became Available... and he replied I guess I can do that.. so I then proceeded to ask well how much will it be for a unit one size up from what I already have he told me $185 for a 10X10. Which I ended up finding out was not true by calling another public storage to get more information... My experience was terrible and he was not helpful at all so I moved everything out into another storage.. He just made me feel like he didn't care or want to be bothered.. customer service was terrible!!!

CeeCee was very wonderful, attentive and funny. She made me feel comfortable to store my property at this current Public Storage location. I would highly recommend this location as well as the representative CeeCee who was very knowledgeable and helpful good job CeeCee.

I recently rented a 10' x 15' climate controlled unit. When I arrived, I did not know exactly what I was looking for and Jarrett was incredibly helpful. He asked several questions that helped me determine the appropriate size unit. He gave me a thorough tour of the facility and I left feeling very comfortable storing my belongings there for the next several months. The facility is clean, in a great location, and they have plenty of moving supplies for purchase. They also have several flat bed rolling carts to assist while moving items in and out of the facility, which was a huge plus for me. I highly recommend Public Storage and this location, in particular!

Prior to 2015, the grounds were well maintained; leaves blown away from the bay doors and debris was picked up regularly. Now they allow pinestraw to collect, among other debris. The staff at this location is less than friendly, always seemly irritated or unhappy. But the #1 reason for the one star is the price increases. I went from paying $165 to $210 in in 1.5 years for a 10x20. And I have 3 units...there is zero customer loyalty. They won't even wave the one time admin fee...with multiple units. Or prorate the month, even if you just paid on day 1 of the month. You're locked in financially until the last day (of the month.) I'm moving out and moving on. There are storage facilities in Raleigh that never increase their rate, once you become customer. And will prorate your days occupied.

This Public Storage with Jarred and the other one on Glenwood but farther west with Bryan were well managed, and the two young men were really helpful to us seniors with mobility problems. Thank you.
