Someone obviously tried to break in months ago because many of the outside entrance doors to the storage units are unable to lock. Some don't even shut all the way. They never bothered to fix it. Today I attempted to access my unit, but now the door lock/handle is completely broken and the knob won't turn. Nobody will answer the phone, and corporate couldn't even get ahold of them. It's regular business hours. I just paid $80 to rent a u-haul that I can't use because I can't get into my unit. I would advise anyone looking for a secure storage unit to look elsewhere. If you want proof, just pull up to the front office. You can tell someone has tried to pry that door open too. Apparently nobody cared enough to repair it.

I haven't had any issues really. But today we found out that they broke into my sister's storage unit. Not sure when it happened but when my sister reported it.. the last said there's already a report on file. It has happened to several ppl, she has a full list. Yes we have insurance and whatever got stolen will be covered.. My issue is.. why haven't we received any type of notice. Like hey there's been breakings, check your unit.

I am very satisfied with Maria she is such a good person. I loved the way she assisted me and helped me through everything. I had my original reservation for a certain date and then I changed it. I did everything online and good thing you get confirmations of email and they also contact you!! Well when I made the change of my reservation date. They didn’t call me but I was still under the impression of having the email I was still safe. However when I showed up to the location I have chosen. Once I got there there was no one there on the one on I-10 on zip code 77029, the receptionist was not there there was a car but no sign saying “ I will be back in 10/15 mins.” Then I was calling the place, n then she showed up. Then she said they didn’t have a unit for the one I had reserved and that I wasn’t showing up on her schedule to move in for the change I made. She sent me to Maria on this location and she was happily waiting for me and I enjoyed her customer service she offered me insurance and she provided me with all the details I needed to keep my stuff safe at Public Storage. Thank You Maria keep up ur Good Customer Service!!!!

I think that at these prices and for the amount of space you get it is very good. The the inside units have easy access good lighting. The women there I don't recall her name but she wears glasses is very helpful and made all of my signing up there fast and easy. To this day about 1 week now I haven't had one issue or complaint. I will update in month's to come.

Ive been here since before they were supposed to open thinking I'd get an early start. Funny thing about gate codes. They don't work after hours. But I was counting on that locations secret weapon for happy customers.You see, the manager there, Akira, does work after hours and opened the gate for me when she saw me sitting there patiently waiting. She even apologized for not getting back from walking the property earlier but hell i was an hour and a half early so no telling what time she got here and shes apologizing for not getting back sooner? And this isn't the first time. She's here every time i come and i'm always either early late ecause she bests me here every time no matter how early. And she always seems to be Joanie on the spot whenever i have a question or need an extra hand. And its not just me either. I'll be taking something to or from my truck and i see her helping other tenants loading/unloading something big or walking prospects around showing off the property. And when I have a question or need someone to help me move something its like I had scheduled her time because she always walking up to see if i need anything. Its uncanny i tell ya. I give the place 5 stars because of Akira attentiveness and keeping the property clean and inviting. And making this customer feel like she's here for me only. But she does that for everyone.

This place has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with in my life. Mark Toussaint was supposed to meet me because my lock was stuck and I couldn't remove it and the day we were supposed to meet he stood me up. I haven't been able to get in touch with him or anyone that can help since then and they want to charge me for another month but refuse to help me get into my unit.

I used this storage property for over ten years with no problems. June 2017 the air condition unit went out and regional manager Marc refuse to repair it and is still making me pay the full amount of a climate control unit. He has lied about getting it repair and refuse to return my calls. Currently my things are getting ruined due to humidity ! Ugh they're stealing from people.....

I'm renting a room, but I feel uneasy because it has a mold mildew smell. I asked the manager about it, she said they didn't experience any flooding during Hurricane Harvey.

I'm writing this review to bring awareness to a problem I'm currently experiencing with Public Storage located at 12435 East Freeway. If I could give a zero star rating, I would, therefore I'm forced to rate it 1 star. My husband and I currently lease 2 units, 1 of which Is supposed to be climate controlled. The a/c had not been operational since last year, yet I continue to be charged at the climate controlled rate. I notified on site management on at least 2 occasions and was advised that a report of the non operating a/c was initiated. Warmer weather came in May. At that point, I contacted area manager Mark who offered 1/2 off the climate controlled unit, but only for the month of June. In the meantime, a unit became available the end of June and I was promised by on site management a climate control unit that had become available. When I went to make transfer arrangements and payment on June 5, I was advised by the employee on duty that day the unit I was promised had "just been rented". Mind your, I had spoken with her earlier that same day to confirm the unit was still available. I advised that would be in later that day and asked that it be held since it had been promised to me. When I arrived, I was advised that the unit had "just been rented". I left numerous messages for district mgr Mark Troissant, sr district manager Stephanie and regional manager Suzie Philips and have yet to receive a return call. In the meantime, I received a notification that both units experienced a price increase. It is appalling to me how a company can continually require payment for services not rendered. Poor business practices at a minimum.

On the last numerous occasions I have found that the the temperature control was not what I expect when paying almost $300 a month. On the last visit, June 28th the outside temp was 89 and the thermometer in side the unit was 100. I do not pay for my property to be fried in a storage unit. My wife has so collectibles that are $500 or more and I do not want these destroyed. If you can not maintain a reasonable temp then I will be forced to talk to my lawyer to see what options I have. FIX THE PROBLEM. There are other storage units that are closer to me and charge less for indoor , AC controlled storage. May be you should look into that and be competitive.

Very satisfied with the service, I rented a unit in October. Ms Vivian was very helpful and kind..showing me how to keep my belongings safe. She explained the importance of insurance to me also. I got sick and my husband forgot to take the lock off for the next month and Marc Poussaint helped me with that. Very sweet and kind. He took the time to listen to me to see how he could solve my issue with the months rent. Thanks

Directly after I reserved my storage unit over the phone through the call center, Keri called me from the #08447 Property on I-10 East in Houston. She introduced herself. Then, confirmed my request. She invited me to schedule an appointment to tour her property and finalize my lease. The day of my appointment, Keri gave me a courtesy call, reminding me of the appointment and the exact location of the property. Once I arrived, Keri took me step-to-step through the charges (including the cost of mandatory insurance I was NOT told about by the representative at the call center $11, $13 or $15 additional each month). She drove me in a golf cart to my unit (no storage company ever did that before - including other Public Storages). She offered me packing supplies. I declined. But, at least she offered. This, by far, was the most professional customer service experience I can remember. I am grateful to her. I had already had a bad day. She really turned it around.

When I walked in Kerri was finishing with another customer. I never rented a box before and she was very patience. Her office was very clean and busy. I am glad I was able to get the attention I needed. Thanks Kerri for taking the extra time with me.
