Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 9420 S Main Street, Houston, TX

I am proud to say that I had a great experience at Public Storage. I was treated fairly and given the utmost respect by the young lady Daijaneek. She had a positive attitude, very chipper, informative and full of light!! Thank you and I will definitely use this again if needed!!

Update- So I have tried calling now 3 times this week, each time I leave a voicemail and no one answers. This is the most unprofessional property I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with and will be my LAST MONTH renting with them. Disgusting. This property is not good. do not rent here. I got a $20 late fee PLUS a $25 returned check fee due to my account returning a payment that I KNOW HAS MONEY IN IT OVER $2k! Then I have made payments on time no issues for the last year and they don’t care at all no leniency no understanding whatsoever even when i tell them i will fix it with the storage payment today. DO NOT RENTA AT PUBLIC STORAGE OTHER PLACES ARE SAME PRICE AND IM SURE MUCH MORE UNDERSTANDING

Amazing facility, super clean!

About two weeks ago I stopped in on LaShonnia and she was sooooo helpful. Set me up with a unit and provided me with great resources on items we needed to box up our space. She definently made the experience quick and easy and made me feel like I made a great choice in selecting public storage for my storage needs. Thank you LaShonnia!

I chatted with a young lady named Ivy at the 9420 S Main 77025 location.She was very helpful and answered all my questions concerning storage spaces. I believe she had my interest at heart and found the best storage space size for me at a good price.Excellent customer service. She took her time to check into different units and even show me a few. All my stuff except my bedroom furniture, books, and spices were stolen. All electronics, kitchen items, clothes, shoes, bags, home decor, dining table and chairs, cosmetics, and toiletries were stolen. The thief(ves) had time to rummage through all boxes and choose “choice” items. My water dispenser and 4 5-gallon bottles were stolen along with cleaning agents like bleach, wipes, soaps, etc. Who steals stuff like this? The staff are definitely not trustworthy and the manager was very nonchalant. Please do not store your items there not only because of theft but sudden pricing changes after you sign your contract.

The service was exceptional and the manager LaShonna did a wonderful job making sure we had the right sized unit for our furniture. This place is Awesome

I live in New Jersey and have to reserve a storage for my daughter who is a college student in Houston, TX. This is my first time to reserve/use a self storage. The site manager Carrie was extremely patient and helpful to explain and even complete the eRental process for me. Carrie was also very knowledgeable and professional. She answered a lot of my questions during the reservation process. I highly recommend this location and Carrie.

If I could leave 0 stars I would leave that instead of the 1 star. The manager on site, whose name I do not remember was not accommodating. The unit details online vs what i got in person were different. I sought to have this difference in pricing settled with the manager but instead of compromising she argued with me, telling me that my confirmation email I received after I paid was wrong but the confirmation she had was the correct one. This is clearly not my fault or problem which is why I felt a change in price was the least she could do to rectify the situation but she refused and I left. I will NEVER RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE AGAIN AND I WILL BE SURE TO SHARE MYH EXPERIENCE WITH ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN.

The staff is what made me give this location 5 stars. I don't know what the young lady's name is but she's always there and she's just always so professional and polite whenever I've had to interact with someone. One day I was at the wrong unit and complaining before I realized it (my sincerest apologies) but she was just the most friendliest. She walked all the way to the unit and didn't complain and didn't seem irritated not one bit. She helped me locate the correct one and made sure I didn't need anything else. Absolutely great customer service!!

Although the manager was nice when I first got my storage, the extreme lack of answering the phone is very unprofessional. I came to the storage last week to come pick up some important papers when I got stuck for 20 minutes in the gate. I recieved a call that my sister was in labor, I called the manager all of 10 - 15 times and left multiple messages in a frantic state explaining that I had a emergency and there were 2 big trucks blocking the entrance. Needless to say I was furious and you can even hear the stress in my voice on the voicemail, I tried to call corporate and guess what.... I was redirected to the property manager. It is beyond unacceptable that you can not contact corporate.

Easy/ Staff Polite Professional/ Nice Environment

Was helped by Mr. King, who graciously offered on the phone to delay his lunch until i can get there to assist me in paperwork for cutting a lock. When I arrived in person he was just as pleasant, informative, and kind to deal with. I've had a rental unit here for almost for 4 years this Dec and have not experienced this level of service before at this facility. Thank you, Mr. King for your warm customer service skills and your patience. Wish there are clones of him all over town, including the post office, DPS, and fast food joints. In the mean time, can someone give this gentleman a raise already?? As for the facility, the entry is awkward as you can't turn left into the premises directly if coming from the 610 freeway (need u-turn). Entry gate does close at 9pm. Even though my unit is accesible directly from the driveway (not temperature controlled) I've not had any problems with security, theft, nor flooding here. They need to do something about the rising cost though; it started out monthly at $99, and now a hefty $246 (hence 1 ⭐ off)

This facility had one of the better pricing available in the area. I never had an issue going in and out of my storage unit. I started back in 2017. From the beginning, management was prompt. Mr. King made my move out simple, quick, and without heartache. Zero issues in over 2 years!

Sister Passed and they Auctioned Her Stuff My sister passed away in May and my father brought tons of documents proving he was the father. He had her death certificate and paid for a while to try to keep the storage covered. She passed away suddenly so there is no power of attorney. So while my sister's family was trying to work out her estate, Public Storage auctioned off her belongings. Shame on You.

Mr. King is the best. Took care of me and was very personable and punctual.

This property was good for the price. Mr. King took care of my move-out very efficiently. Monthly contracts are an option so when it's time to move out, not an issue! Some drawbacks to the facility but worth it for the location and service.

Mr. King was very nice and pleasant. He initially wasn't in the office (because he was doing lock check) but he returned exactly at the time the signed stated. He also apologized for not having a golf cart to take us to my unit....it was HOT!! Mr. King was very knowledgeable and had great customer service.

Mr. King was the best! He gave me a call on check-in day to let me know he would be the one to walk me through the paperwork and get me in my unit. When I arrived, he was very prompt in getting me checked in, and he asked what I was looking to store to ensure I had the right size unit for my needs. The most incredible part of it all was that he was able to attend to me and make all other customers feel welcomed as they arrived as well. By far the best storage experience ever!

I stopped by this location 2 days ago to get information about a unit that I was renting at another location. King was on the job and knew what he was talking about. King was very helpful. He called the other location to clarify information that was told to me. He gave me the information that I needed. I must say that my experience at this location was GREAT!!! This afternoon I went to this location to make a payment. This was being done on what I consider to be my lunch break and had I not been able to make that payment I would have rather had to try to drive to another location prior to going back to work or end up getting a late fee. However King was working at this location and through his graciousness although it bled into his lunch time he was able to assist me with kindness professionalism and just an abundance of humanity that just helped make my day a lot better. My true rating of the S Main location is 👎👎👎👎👎. Worst expreince ever. Not once but about three occassion, once for two and half weeks did the elevators not work. Climate control didn't work during that time and I was not notified and was charged for climate control and late fee even though I placed a move out order was still being charged then recieved a large fee while waiting to hear back from the district manager. He didn't respond until two weeks later and only credit account 25 dollars . Placed another move out order missed location closing by 5 minutes placed one payment online and brought in cash next day was charged another month . Called regional office never heard from them . Was again charged another month waiting to hear back from them. Told staff payment would be late they popped My lock and tried to charge me for another . Made last payment which online said I needed to pay moved my things before the first and was sent a bill for another month. I emptied their unit and left before the next billing which they say is the1 St of each month. This place was horrible ,just horrible the management unprofessional in every sense of the word. Would never recommend this place to anyone I would insist that the tenants still there vacate the property. With their buildings consist problems AND not notifying tenants when there is a problem with elevators climate control outages and broken Gates .On more than two visits the Gates were left open because of being broken. That alone is enough not do business with this company and location . Don't store your things here

This location is very dark at night. The hours to access your box were open later before but have changed to 6pm. I know it may be common but I have seen large rodents on two occasions scurry away.

Its a place to keep your stuff. Some of the staff was nice, some where very rude. I was late on my payment but not on my last day and they cut my lock. Then couldnt get in until i bought one more of their expensive locks that are 7$ else where. But have rented from other Public Storage and had good results.

I have had a terrible experience with this location. The website stated that my unit was climate controlled, however, when I arrived I was told by Jennifer that a work order was needed to fix the unit. Later I was told by another employee that no climate controlled units existed outside, although the Public Storage website states otherwise. I left repeated messages for Brian Serafine (Regional Management), yet not a single call was returned, to resolve this matter. This is highly unprofessional service for the top down. Rude staff, aloof district manager, filthy dusty facility that smells faintly strange indoors. Before moving in I had no pest, after moving out (on 10/15/16), I have silver fish and roaches in my boxes and bags. I have to re-fumigate my new apartment. Stay away from this place. What more can I say?

I first went to the location on stella link and there was noone there but boy im sure glad i came to this location. Ms Ingrid was awsome the young lady took her time with me explained everything i needed to know down to protecting my furniture.
