Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3657 Tampa Road, Oldsmar, FL

At first, trying to get storage was proving very frustrating. The first property I went to only had a kiosk… No persons available. I had questions and I wanted to see unit sizes. I went to the other property two miles away. There was a sign on the door that said they were closed until 12. I came back at three and there was still no one there. I spoke to different people and got different information. Finally I was told I could make an appointment. I had not known this was necessary in the beginning. So, I met with a very very nice and personable and helpful young lady who I will call RM. She helped me get my unit and there were no problems. I do not like contactless society as I prefer speaking to real people. But thank you, RM as you made it an easy transition finally.

Judson and the team are amazing and so helpful! This location is clean, well maintained and very secure. I also find it very convenient as I live in Eastlake Woodlands right around the corner.

If I could give a zero I would! This place is a ripoff. Over charge. Went to pull my stuff out and it was wet! Had to throw my king sized mattress and box springs away. Stay away from this place! They also make you buy their lock and you can't use it anywhere else! The property manager is useless and never returns calls. I paid for a 10x5 got 9x3.

Of course, I could not keep my space with such a huge increase and was going to downsize to a much smaller space. Horrible. They about doubled my rent in a year. Refused to adjust it. I moved to Cube Smart and am now saving over $100 per month.

They raised my rent 74% in barely over a year. Yes, you read that correctly: 74% in about a year. Meaning from $178 per month to $310 per month. That is how they reward loyal, long-term customers. The on-site manager (nice guy) put in a rent decrease request with corporate. When the response came back, they decreased my rent by a whopping $7, which is about 2%. I called the 800-number, and the person was curt and said there was "nothing we can do." Well, guess what? There's something I could do, which is move out and leave an honest review. THEY WILL RAISE YOUR RENT REPEATEDLY ONCE THEY THINK IT IS TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE FOR YOU TO MOVE ELSEWHERE. Avoid this by renting from a competitor.

Ray is amazing! After some issues with my reservation and the customer service 800 number not being available, I was going to cancel and go to another company. However, with Ray's quick thinking and wonderful problem solving skills, he was able to find a solution and rent me a unit successfully. I truly appreciate the time he spent going above and beyond to help me!

Easy to rent, process was easy. Judson was very knowledgeable and polite. I got the lock and insurance and he explained everything in detail.

I have used this facility from many years. The staff is great and Judson in particular has gone above and beyond in service and help. They just need to slow down on the price increases for long-term users.

Judson at the Oldsmar store was an Angel and a Savior! He changed my move in date at the last minute for me to get in sooner. Provided me his cell phone in case of me having an issue. And told me he’d run over to the storage to help my kids get out if they got stuck or had a hard time with anything! Definitely a true Christian when he tells you to have a blessed night after offering to assist in any way needed!!! People like Judson make the world a better place!!

After looking around for a storage place in North Pinellas and going through some deceitful sales tactics in some new facilities, we found Judson, the manager at the Public Storage facility at 3657 Tampa Road (Oldsmar), who was not just friendly, but also professional, honest and helpful. We will stay with Public Storage for years to come !

Judson was an excellent assistant in helping me secure my storage space! He led me on a tour of the available units, and explained the property’s details fully. Such a gentleman and a delight to speak to! Great price in comparison to adjacent properties.. especially since I was only interested in a climate controlled unit. Very clean and well kept. I’m not interested in properties that are questionable with leaks or pest ridden! 5 stars hands down.

I rented units from them before back in 2004 to 2006. The units are very clean. We feel very safe there. The only thing that I do not like is I rented in the middle of the month but was charge for the whole month. When you are on a very tight budget every penny counts.

When I needed the unit after my college closed due Covid-19 she helped me get set up quickly and answered all questions I had. So, I did some research recently on storage concerns that loom on my horizon and was so pleased to deal with a young woman (Danielle I believe) who was able to answer all my questions and leave me comfortable that her facility could take care of all my needs, while not breaking the bank. Great experience. Kudos to Public Storage for having well versed employees.

Very nice property, Yamara was terrific in helping select a unit. Can't speak highly enough of her. Only issue is corporate market pricing approach and lack of flexibility in staff to adjust. Same unit available on line three weeks ago for $48 is $71 now. Understand their pricing matrix but just don't like it.

Loved Sam. She’s totally helpful and professional AND tells you upfront about the rate increases as she’s going over the lease, so it won’t be a surprise, but still gets my goat. The steep rate increase after 5 months of paying is the only reason I’m giving them four star. Otherwise, it’s clean, well maintained AND well lighted at night.

I went in with my mom to pay my mom's storage unit for the month and Bonnie was fantastic dealing with my mom she had a lot of questions and gets confused easily and she was so patient with her and smiled through it all. Read the lease! Rate can change at any time! Yes, it’s a clean and secure facility, BUT once they get you in the door for $1 they fail to tell you that just after a couple months they will increase your monthly rent. Mine went up to almost $50 just after almost 6 months. Because that seems practical said no one ever. Luckily, I am able to move out of there and give my money to a facility that appreciates and does not take advantage of people. What really upsets me is all the snow birds they take advantage of that have no choice but to be stuck and pay the increase. ***Do your research people, ask them about when your rate will increase*** I will be more than happy to refer you to another facility if you email me or I can prove the rate increase and unit move in dates. For now here is a copy of lease. My stupidity for not catching it originally. 2.2 Your Rental Terms May Change with 30 Days' Notice. We may change your Monthly Rent, fees and charges, and any other terms of this Rental Agreement with 30 days' written notice to you. We may send notice to your email address. By continuing to use Your Space, you agree to the Rental Agreement as changed and that all of its other terms remain in effect.

What a crock. I'm in there maybe four months and they raise my rate by $13 a month. I'm out of there and will never do business with them again.

Samantha was great. We went in to get prices and sizes and she showed us multiple units and helped us figure out what we needed. We don't need storage until our house sells but when that happens we will be renting here.

Kelly is awesome! Not only was she very helpful, she was very pleasant too. She walked me around the property and showed me several units to help me determine which one would work best for my needs. She offered me units that were a lot less expensive then I expected and they have a move in special for only $1. Although they didn't have a unit that was big enough for my large trailer, she was able to help me find units that would work at another Public Storage just down the road and showed me a very easy way to look up what is available on their website. I wish that I would have found one big enough at this location because of the wonderful service that I received. Thanks Kelly for going above and beyond!

Amazing customer service! Diana made our transfer from one unit to another super easy and smooth. You can tell that she really cares about her customers.

The cancellation policy was different that told when signing up. When I asked how much notice was required, Rudy responded that you could cancel by the 6th of the month. I attempted to cancel on the 3rd, being told that they stopped that option last week and that I’m responsible for the entire month.

Rudy was very helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't realize how much paperwork was involved to rent a storage unit. They do insist that you buy insurance for your unit which is minimum $11 per month on top of the monthly rent. Rudy explained all these rules to me.

AC and non AC storage available.

They got us into a larger sized storage unit, a size most do not offer, with short notice. Rudy at the front desk went out of his way to help us make sure we had everything we needed for a smooth transition into a storage unit. The 6am-9pm access is kind of bogus with a lighted, gated, & videod property, but locally that's not their fault.. thats where corporate rules suck and locally they can't do anything to help. I hope my movers are out of there by 9pm or I'll be payin overtime for them to camp out there or whatever a 911 fee is for the fire department to break them out.

The facility in Oldsmar # 08759 that I'm renting from now has been stellar so far, from the helpful staff to the upkeep of the property. I would like to compliment all of the agents who work at this property starting with Chad the Site Manager who quickly communicated my dilemma to his District Manager , and an especially well- deserved kudos to Manny the DM for exemplary customer service to me over the weekend. I made a trip from Orlando on Saturday to take care of some things in my storage unit and while enroute I realized that I'd left my keys to to it at home. I called and spoke to Thad, and he advised me to come in when I got to town to do paperwork to give my permission to change the lock and to pay for the new lock. I explained to Thad that I needed get into the unit asap and he advised he would let his DM know that day, but that since it was Saturday afternoon and the weekend in general he wasn't sure if his DM would be able to resolve anything until Monday. Much to my total surprise I got a call early Sunday morning to tell me I could pick up my new keys. Wow! Am so impressed with the service I was bestowed. To add even more to my amazement I didn't have pay for anything else besides the new lock, which was Manny's executive decision. I have to say that he his awesome. Not only do I think that, but so do the people who work with him. In this day and age it is a rare occurrence to find what I would call consistent exemplary customer service and a well run ship. Manny and his crew actually care about their customers and want them to come back. Thanks again to all involved especially Manny.

I had to rent storage space in the middle of a move and the online reservation process was very convenient. After viewing the space in person and paying, I discovered that the space was too small while loading (a miscalculation on my part) and Malea was incredibly helpful with getting me a larger unit right away! She was friendly and cheerful throughout the whole process even though I'm sure I inconvenienced her quite a bit with the switch! Thank you so much Malea!

I recieved a price quote on the 1-800 number online service of 26.00 to rent a small unit at this location. When i arrived i found out that you also have to pay for insurance,11.00,and that you have to use one of the facilities locks,20.00. Iwas told on the phone that i needed to provide my own padlock,and there was no mention of the mandatory insurance you have to purchase. On my way to the property i bought a padlock at home depot,another 7.00. I will say that the facility is nice,but their business practices not so cool.I really felt like i got the old bait and switch pulled on me on this deal. To make a long story short Iended up spending 59.00 to get into a 26.00 unit,also got stuck with the price of the padlock i didnt need. Terrible communication between corporate and local management, obviously they are not on the same page!!

I chose this facility because it is well maintained; It's clean with noticeably good climate control on the 2nd floor. My storage move experience is a lot less stressful because of the flat hand carts and elevators that are avaliable for customers. This would have been a five star review, but there is room for improvement in one important area which is the parking space by the elevators. There are only two actual spaces which makes it inconvenient especially if more than four different customers show up at the same time.

Thad is great to work with. The facility is secure, clean and the second floor air conditioned. At first I was hesitant to take a second floor unit, but with the great carts the facility has, good lighting, cleanliness and workable temperatures, I feel this Public Storage has it over the other storage facilities in the area. Believe me when I say this, as I sought out and looked at many others before going to this Oldsmar Public Storage. Thanks for your upkeep and great management Thad.

Very convenient location. Manager of property was very friendly and professional. He worked with me on a late night move by giving me an access to the gate after 9pm. Units inside very clean so as property itself. Everything feels new and well maintained. I'm very glad that i decided to store my belongings in this location.

I went by the Oldsmar Public Storage facility to do a bit of fact-finding and research because I am preparing to rent a unit. I was lucky enough to stop by on a day that Rudy was on-duty. Not only did Rudy answer all my questions, he presented me with all the options so that I could make the best decisions for my needs. He was the first person I spoke to regarding a unit at any storage company and will be the last. I will be renting from him.

Thad was really pleasant and VERY patient! First he called me to confirm about a reservation hold on a storage unit. He went the extra mile to inform me about a better size unit for just a few more dollars with what I was looking for. I was excited about the offer!!! When I first met Thad he was friendly, professional, prepared, also informative about the storage place while showing me the unit ;-) However, after all that it turned out I wasn't prepared (improper ID) and was so embarrassed. Thad instead was understanding and extended my unit reservation til I was able to come back...4 days later! When I came back Thad was VERY pleasant and sooo sweet. This time got as far as completing all the paper work and then pay...my card declined! Had to leave to the bank, BUT Thad was still patient with me! 30 minutes later returned and we both kinda chuckled...I said 3 times is a charm...seriously! The card had cleared...YEAAA he said. We came in unsure of what we would need, and Rudy asked all the right questions, gave us choices and options that would work for us. He was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and personable. This is a great location, we feel our belongings will be safe; each time we have come to store more items, PS makes it easy and hassle-free.

We have been using PS for a while now and have had no problems. We recently switched units to downsize and the process was an easy one. Rudy really helped us with the whole process and was very friendly.

When I booked the space I had a question and Thad got back to me within 24 hours. Rudy was thorough and professional as well as pleasant while processing the paperwork. The space is clean and suits my needs perfectly. I am pleased with the security arrangements and ease of access. All in all, a pleasure to do business with, storage at a reasonable rate and peace of mind that my items are secure.
