Had to move the contents of our large business that was destroyed by Hurricane Ian to a storage facility. The manager Janice was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to help with our situation. If you are struggling after the hurricane, I suggest storing your belongings here. The facility is clean, air conditioned, and safe.

Was getting my mother set up with a unit there, April was a huge help. Got us the best deal for our situation. Normally when I go to these places people are short and make u feel rushed. April was very caring answered my questions so I felt safe with my mother's stuff.

After 2 years using PS at Luther Road we went through hurricane and lost keys and a 48 hour turnaround on leaving your facility and your DM Christaina went above and beyond to help with free packing material, lock removal and she could have not been MORE helpful we should all have employees that know the true meaning of "customer service" don't lose her .

We are 8 months away from hurricane and still didn't close our claim Just like a joke

They have been so helpful! The property manager Ashley has been so excellent! They helped me fix my rate, change units when needed, and even helped me find a dolly to use. I can't say enough about how helpful they have been! I've been here for almost 2 years, and I've had wonderful, helpful encounters every time I've gone into the office. Even after hurricane Ian, they were terrific, they had entire crews that removed all my stuff from the unit, cleaned the floors, and moved it all back for me while I was there, and I didn't have to lift a finger! It was such a relief after all the other stuff we had to deal with in the aftermath. It was so nice to have one less thing to worry about!

We had everything we owned in a unit during Ian. The place flooded. We lost furniture, art, personal mementos and clothing. They failed to notify of the flooding in a timely fashion(9 days later), mold on everything, despite paying for a climate controlled unit. Claimed they would provide cleaners and boxes. They were out of boxes. The cleaners were helpful in emptying unit, but were not there to clean moldy belongings, they mopped the unit. During clean up there were several people who had clipboards, none would admit they worked there , claimed they were volunteers. Another patron advised they were managers from other locations. It’s a shame if you. Ant admit you work for a company, I’m curious if you realized how wrong and how bad this situation is, Claimed they were giving a free month. Has not happen. This place should be closed until drainage s fixed. I would not recommend this place to anybody. If you want to overpay for storage, get no services, rent at this place,

My buddy and I were cleaning out my unit in the Florida summer so we worked up quite a sweat. My buddy went into the office to see if there was a sink we could use to fill up our empty water bottles. To our surprise Janice gave us cold waters from the fridge and we both couldn't believe it. I would highly recommend this place for your storage needs. It's hard to find that kind of southern hospitality these days. Thanks Janice.

Where we were renting a 10 x 10 climate controlled unit was getting way to expensive. Looking for a new unit we found Public storage, Luther Rd. Punta Gorda,when i arrived to get all the details and see the unit, i was met by the nicest lady Janice, she showed me the unit and gave me all the details, Janice was very thorough.The facility was so clean so we signed up for a 10x10 climate controlled unit.

My parents went to Public storage on Luther early in May looking for unit and were suggested to find good rates online to which they did then we set up online and received a call by early June that everything was set for a move in on 6/27 for 10x20 air controlled drive up unit. We arrived on 6/25 and to our surprise no reservation. The customer service agent Janice gave us customer service to see if they could explain what happened and no answer as to why our reservation was cancelled. 3 different times we spoke with Public Storage and not once were we told to come in and pay before move in to actually get unit. Janice explained everything thoroughly attempted to help us and explained new prices and that drive up units don’t have air control and that the promotion of the $1 rent was not available for this particular unit and found a different price but it was closing time so we went back next morning and find out prices changed again. Talk about a mess to be going thru day before expecting movers to gather belongings. Janice did everything to try to help us in a situation that wasn’t our fault even previous itinerary said to arrive 30min before move in to fill everything out. Janice really tried to calm the situation down and figure out options for us to make a bad situation into a pleasant one.

The staff here is irresponsible, there has been multiple times when they close up the office early, they don't call back and never follow through. The corporate office is just has bad, I will never recommend them to anyone ever again. If I could give them ZERO stars I would.

Great experience with this facility. Super accommodating, and very friendly. They went out of their way putting up with my issues being able to check in due to traveling, and were wonderful every step of the way. Facility is clean and well managed.

Very friendly staff. Olivia was sweet and answered my questions. Mike helped me move a heavy chair. You can tell they take care of the place and take pride in putting the customers first. Hands down an amazing place.

I just move into my first apartment and when I stopped by to drop some stuff off Mike and Olivia were just the sweetest darn things I have ever seen I’ve never felt more welcomed in my whole life and I was in a storage facility I highly advocate they either get a raise or something cause I will never forget my experience there and it’s all because of Olivia and Mike! :))

Very nice facility

Overall, this place is awesome. The Punta Gorda location is a brand new facility. Public Storage is no doubt the leader when it comes to storage. The on site managers are friendly & professional. The E-Rental feature is probably the best new idea to hit the storage industry overall. You can book your unit without even going to the office. The only reason I had to give it 4 stars is due to the insurance scam they have. It doesn't even make sense that a company with such a good reputation has such a shady insurance practice. For starters, you cannot opt out of insurance. It's required, but the way they get around having complaints is by waiving the fees for the first 30 days and telling you that you can cancel anytime. But here's where it gets tricky. When you cancel the insurance, they bill you in advance for the insurance you just canceled. It sounds crazy, but it's true. And even worse, if you don't pay the insurance fee that you just canceled, you get charged a 20% late fee (20% of the monthly unit fee). Eventually, they do credit your account if you cancel the insurance, but the hassle you have to go through is kinda ridiculous.

We are moving to Port Charlotte from NYS. The process of getting our storage was very easy .Lily was passing us as we were looking for our spot and made sure we found it. She answered all our questions . The place is immaculate so very clean . So glad we chose this location. Highly reccomend.
