Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 9210 Lazy Lane, Tampa, FL

I pay more than $140. A month and can barely get time to get things from my storage, because they close at 9 If security can see I was 4 minutes late and I have to pay extra for insurance why not make it 24 hour access?

The service was great but the unit was dirty. I had roaches in my boxes. Too many and I had to call an exterminator at my house and open all of the boxes outside cause they Would be hiding in newspapers in my glasses. Pots and pans. If you do use it make sure you box up tightly even then the smaller ones got In. They really need to have these units treated!!!!! I won't be using it again. Oh and they love the packing tape. I had a picture of them but I deleted them.

Kia is extremely helpful ...the very best in the 2 years of my tenancy here at 9210 lazy lane. She is an asset to this business.

Super easy, made my reservation this morning before work and this afternoon after work I was able to go store my stuff. Access from my phone to get in the gate and my lock was in my storage unit. Start to finish one of the smoothest parts of my day.

Front gate is to small should have 1 way in 1 way out.

There was no power or lights in our unit. Management wouldn't answer the phone when you call afterhours to let you out.

The gate code is annoying

I recently went to my Public storage location on 9210 Lazy Lane in Tampa, I have had a 10 by 25 space for years. My circumstances have changed and I recently went to the facility to ask the Manager Soren about a lateral move. Rather than just saying no He suggested I wait so he had time to go out his way and ask the national management if he could accommodate my needs. He was successful in helping me. I can happily recommend Soren and the Lazy Lane Public Storage facility to anyone looking for a storage space. Public Storage is lucky to have Soren managing one of their Public Storage locations.

Hat's off to the customer care provided by Soren in the front office. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous & kind. Thanks for the effort Soren! Very much appreciate it.

I stored a few items there for about three weeks because I was moving. Well low and behold some of the boxes had small roaches, especially in my pots and pans. I ended up having to throw away things because of this. I didn’t expect that. Very disappointed. It seems like they would at least keep the treated by an extinguisher.

Visited this location VERY FRUSTRATED !!! I’ll admit that I was prepared for a fight with whatever sales associate helped me, but luckily that didn’t happen. I was helped by Reba and she helped calm me down and explained the rental agreement to me. Thanks to her I left in a much better attitude than when I came in.

Good for short term, not long term. Rates will continue to rise the longer you are there. In less than 3 years I have had a $35.00 per month increase. So roughly 11-12% increase each year.

READ ENTIRE POST TO EVALUATE THE REAL FACILITY IN 2019 AND HOW IT WAS UN 2015 ! Back in 2015 Joanne was verry helpfully. She got me a better deal then the main office I called for Florida. I advise any one looking for storage to use this facility. :-) .... now 4 years later in 2019 I have another tale to tell.. i had rated it a 5 star in 2015 and now i am rating it a 1star until this issue is resolved. I got a unit july 28th 2019 Cost me about 50 dollers to move in. And was told the 1st 30 days was $1. And that August's bill would be prorated into septembers bill. Well that didnt happen. My $98 doller storage unit had a price tag of $190 and some change come sepember 1st. Over $15 dollers due for august (and my move in date was july 28th 2019... and the lein and late fees hit August 28 2019)they are trying to charge me all this extra money for different late and lein fees. And if my 1st 30 days was $1 shouldent i have been covered until august 28 2019 ? That being said. Being late 4 days in my openion does not constitue and fees of this sort. Especially on what was obviousley a misunderstanding on my part. Or. Misrepresentation on the part of the person that rented me the unit. $15 due and 4 days late. To have these kind of fees seems verry absurd. I will update here to finish the story of what hapoen once it is all resolved....... they removed the $55 lein fee. It deffinatley made me feel a little better. But the situatuon was verry frustrating to say the least. I sugest to anyone who rents to pay verry close attention to your e mails and phone calls. (Witch i do not do) i am more of a text to communicate person. Had i caught the e mail or phone call This situatuon would have never happen. But none the less i dont suspect this situation will happen to me again as i now know exactley what i have to pay the 1st of every month. And it will always be paid on time. I have now rated this storage facility a 3 star. Due to it was a 5 befor. This situatuon made me feel 0 stars were in order. So 3 is the average. Thanks everyone who read this review. They raise the rent every 6 months and they close at 9pm.

The property manager, Soren, is excellent and understands hospitality. The property is on the older side but very well maintained. I highly recommend.

Do you have stuff you need to store? This location should be your first choice! Not only were they super accommodating ( I had to change my reservation time 3 times, cause, you know, life happens) and each time, they were super nice about it. When I did come to check in, Crystal, who was at the desk, was so pleasant and friendly, she made the check in easy- breezy.

After a very exhausting search for a place that I could keep my belongings, I was referred to public storage. So I Google One near me and was pretty impressed with the service that I received from Soren at the lazy lane property. He greeted me well and gave me a quick tour of the property in which I was pleased and felt comfortable with storing my things. Hello...... I would like to send this review out to a Great, Considerate, and most pleasant employee that your company has on staff. "Dominic" is a very nice employee! He was very helpful and understandable. I had an major issue with the Storage Unit at this site. The other Site Manager i don't really know his name, but he is "Fat" and look a lil hispanic or something, and there is a "Fat" white girl with long blonde hair that works there as well....... Those "2" are not to be trusted!! I don't know what their problem is, but they are "Liers!" they both caused a big confusion with the Storage Unit that practically had Stolen Items in the Storage in which my "Ex" got the Unit and put my items in there. The Storage Unit was in my "Ex's" name! They both knew that!! I was coming paying on the Storage every month because my "Ex" refused to pay on it! Those "2" liers told me i could no longer pay on it or have excess to the Unit. My items were about to go into "Auction!" but the other Site Manager "Dominic" was very helpful and understandable! I totally suggest to get rid of the "Fat" white white guy or whatever his race is....... And the "Fat" white girl!! Because something is not right with them two!!

It was horrible. I drove in from another city only to be charged over double the price they quoted me over the phone.It was nothing but lies, and "that lock wont work ,you'll have to buy another..." but the units surrounding the one they showed me had the same lock that "would not work". This was the worst experience i have ever had with a storage facility. i was FORCED into giving one star in order to post. They don't even deserve that.

They ask you to give them 5 stars on here as soon as you sign up with them. There first month is not $1. My first month added to $65 and change after all the fees. My rent went up 20 dollars after 3 months. Polite the first time you sign up. After that they could care less. All these reviews are a front. Find another storage place.

I've rented two storage units at this location and the staff has always been professional. I needed 24/7 access for business purposes and the manager, Vanessa, was able to help get me approved. She has a great attitude and provides great customer service!

This is my 4th time renting from this location. The employees are wonderful and the price is much less than other locations. It is very secure and the units are clean.

I did not like anything about this storage facility, I fell behind on storage for the month of July and some of September, my fiance and I split up we packed all our things our life was in there, well on my behalf I didn't think of giving change of address or phone info, well soon as 50th day hit they auction off all our thing even thou I paid for the month of July, they could have sent me an email which I periodically check, I called the representative at lazy lane I begged her to please ask the person who bought my life if he could find a place in his heart to please sell back to me for double or triple what he paid but she had no compassion to help me, I lost about 20k in valuables, important paper work birth certificates passport etc, no one contacted me nor did they care, I'd sell back to that person knowing what the things meant. if I were the rep I'd call for that person but she had no compassion, this place is about money, like I said a lousey simple email I would have gotten, I lost my life for a lousey 125$, Thank you public storage thank you for not caring.I hate that place i suggest to renters do not go over 50 days they'll sell your things, their ruthless and heartless.thanks alot M for your worthless careless heart of trying to help me, so many sentimental things gone forever.

I am relocating from NYC to Tampa, Florida and I went in to get some information on how the rental for a storage space worked. Being that I am spending lots of money relocating I will need a storage space untiI I can find a permanent apartment. Lisandra and Mary were amazing at explaining how to go about renting a storage space for the time being. These ladies were well spoken and knew their job description to the T. Beautiful and friendly didn't hurt either. Lol. I will definitely bring my furniture to this location to store until I am able to get my new apartment sometime in July or August. Now, I have 1 less thing to worry about. Thank goodness :)

I was shopping for a warehouse to rent and got tired of dealing with cold,lazy, impersonal and indifferent people. Then i found Akea and Mary at Lazy lane they were nice,polite and went out of there way to listen and and explain my options and even went out in the "RAIN" to show me available units. Our business venture requires the renting of multiple storage units generally at many different locations. The Lazy Lane property has always been one of my favorites due to the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility and the security. It is tucked in off a main thoroughfare in Tampa but I always feel quite safe even if I'm working alone at the unit after dark. Mary is super friendly and seems to really understand the importance of her customers. What else can I say...she just "gets it." Not many people do in today's world...and I say this with 17 years of HR experience to my credit. Thanks, Mary! :)

I didn't have any problems with the staffs at the storage unit, and they were pretty nice to me. The price and size was very reasonable, and had some of my friends use public storage before. A+.

I have been doing business with this location for around 8 months, The manager Chris makes it enjoyable to make a reason to stop in the office and say hello. He is always professional and has a great attitude. Once I saw him dealing with a difficult upset customer and he handled the situation outstanding. You don't find many managers like him.
